Abstract

Philosophically, human can be called as dialogical creature. The way to apply dialogical consciousness among human being needs the seriousness. In a daily life, dialogical consciousness will give big impact to the human behavior. In this case, tolerance has an important position to create this condition. According to Nurcholish Madjid, tolerance in Islamic religion is something to be based. Unity of God becomes the main destination. Tolerance can develop well to the human being having understanding and openness. The application of tolerance will create strong civil society. It is also appropriate with the pluralism of Indonesian society.

Abstract

It is important to build the harmony in the livelihood among religious followers in Indonesia continuously. We can appreciate their valuable contribution through thought and real action. The idea of teologi kerukunan and fikih kerukunan has important meaning in daily life. The two concept became the basic of theory to implement the harmonious life in multicultural Indonesia society, both theoretically and practically.

Abstract

Religion is an integral part of human life. In fact, there are many problems must be solved. Religion still faces various heavy challenges. One of them is problem on interaction among the different religious followers. In this case religion is often used as practical interest that opposite to the religion’s dogma, like conflicts and violence among the followers. The phenomena concerns many religious leaders. The philosopher, Frithjof Schuan judged that those cases happened in relation with many deviations in religious doctrines that imply religious value and right. Actually religion teaches peace, tolerance and rewards to others. Problems interreligious followers problems in Indonesia are never solved, there are many conflicts happened from time to time. This study gives kind of solutions in order to create harmony among different religious followers in Indonesia.

Abstract

Islam sebagai agama bersifat tunggal tetapi pemahaman terhadap Islam teraktualisasi dalam corak keberagamaan yang bermacam-macam. Masing-masing corak tumbuh dan berkembang seiring dengan dinamika perkembangan masing-masing masyarakat. Riset tentang relasi Islam dan budaya lokal sebagaimana ditampilkan oleh enam orang penulis buku ini menunjukkan bahwa potret Islam Indonesia itu sangat dinamis. Buku ini merupakan sinopsis disertasi enam orang penulisnya. Sebagai disertasi dari berbagai perguruan tinggi dan bidang ilmu, buku ini menampilkan potret Islam Indonesia yang unik dan khas. Telaahnya cukup mendalam dan bisa dipertanggungjawabkan secara akademis. Terbitnya buku ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam memahami potret Islam Indonesia yang sangat dinamis.
