Abstract

The elderly are individuals who are at the end of the stage of human life, where the process of decline is more dominant than progress. Poor sleep quality can be influenced by several factors such as age, motivation, physical activity, diet, culture, alcohol consumption, smoking, lifestyle, and disease. Regular physical activity in the elderly such as cleaning the house, doing physical exercise and others can stimulate a decrease in sympathetic nerve activity and an increase in parasympathetic activity which results in a decrease in the hormones adrenaline, norepinephrine and catecholamines so as to help fulfill the quality of sleep in the elderly. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between physical activity and sleep quality in the elderly. This research method uses a cross sectional study research design. The population of this study were all elderly people who were in the Tresna Werda Panti, Ciparay District, Bandung Regency. The number of samples in this study were 50 respondents with a sampling technique using purposive sampling. The instrument used in this study used the PASE questionnaire to measure physical activity and the PSQI questionnaire to measure sleep quality. Analysis of the data using the formula for the frequency distribution and Spearman rank. The results of this study were obtained from 50 respondents 47 (94.0%) elderly had less physical activity, 48 (96.0%) elderly had poor sleep quality. Therefore, it is very important to have structured physical activity programs/activities for the elderly at the Tresna Werda Panti, Ciparay District, Bandung Regency.

Abstract

Abstract

As Artificial Intelligence (AI) is used more and more in digital certification systems, it is important to create stable and efficient environments for the use of Large Language Models (LLMs). AI-based chatbots are very helpful for people who are taking online tests at professional certification schools and for people who are giving tests. However, it is still not clear where the best place is to run AI inference workloads because virtualization can use different amounts of resources and cost different amounts. This study aims to identify the optimal deployment environment by assessing Cloud Init, Virtual Machine (VM), and Linux Container (LXC) within the Proxmox Virtual Environment (VE). This environment tested Ollama and FastAPI on the same hardware (4 vCPU, 16 GB RAM, 32 GB SSD, 80 Mbps) and the Phi3:3.8b model. The study also checked the important numbers like CPU and memory usage, disk and network throughput, latency, and response time. The tests showed that LXC had the fastest disk speed (2.45 MB/s) and network speed (3.33 MB/s). VM had the longest response time (15.64 s) and the longest latency (6.89 ms). Cloud Init had mixed results: it made automation easier but less effective. These results show that the best way to use Cloud Init and LXC together for big certification systems is through hybrid orchestration. This is the best way to get a good balance between AI deployment that is flexible and fast. The methodology section provides a clearer description of the experimental process, including benchmark tools (Hey CLI, Sysbench, Prometheus), the number of test repetitions (three sessions per environment), and comparative data analysis methods to ensure result validity. Moreover, the conclusion emphasizes the scientific implications by explaining how Cloud Init’s automation capabilities can be combined with LXC’s performance efficiency to improve AI inference deployments in scalable and institutional environments.

Abstract

Purpose: This program aims to empower farmer groups to utilize rice husk waste into alternative fuel through simple briquette-making technology based on the circular economy concept. Methodology/approach: The program employed a participatory approach, involving local communities through several stages, including socialization, environmental education, and technical training on briquette production. The training covered rice husk carbonization, binder preparation, briquette molding, and drying processes. Evaluation was carried out through participant involvement observation, pre-test and post-test assessments, and product quality trials. Results/findings: The results show a significant increase in community knowledge, with over 39% improvement between pre-test and post-test scores. Participants, particularly farmer group members, showed high enthusiasm throughout the activities, and more than 75% successfully produced briquettes independently. A simple briquette press tool was also handed over to the community and proven to be functional and easy to operate. Conclusions: The program effectively enhanced community skills and awareness in renewable energy utilization. Simple technology can convert agricultural waste into economic value while supporting environmental sustainability. Limitations: The short implementation period restricted long-term mentoring and evaluation of sustainability. The number of participants was limited to 15 farmers, reducing generalizability. Moreover, no detailed economic or environmental assessments were conducted, so efficiency and emission impacts remain unquantified. Contribution: This program enhances community capacity in utilizing rice husk waste through simple briquette-making technology. It promotes renewable energy awareness, supports the circular economy, and strengthens collaboration between universities and farmer groups as a replicable model for rural energy innovation.
