Abstract

Currently, people are often unaware of the existence of hotspots or gas leaks in the house which can trigger large fires in the house. Therefore, this research focuses on designing a fire monitoring and extinguishing system that can detect early IoT-based fires using the SIM800L GSM module on unmanned vehicles to detect fires and immediately extinguish them, accompanied by sending emergency messages via the SMS application on smartphones. As a warning, a fire has been detected in the house so that people can be more alert. In addition, this system is designed so that the vehicle can be controlled remotely using the HC-06 Bluetooth module and Bluetooth RC Car. This early fire detection process will be tested 30 times, each sample will be tested for the time speed obtained in detecting and extinguishing a fire. Thus, this system has the potential to prevent fires which can cause major losses.

Abstract

The increasing frequency of cyberattacks, particularly Denial of Service (DoS) attacks, poses significant challenges to the availability of online services. Multi-target DoS attacks exacerbate this issue by simultaneously targeting multiple systems, requiring robust and automated mitigation strategies. This study evaluates the effectiveness of Wazuh Active Response, an open-source Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solution, in mitigating multi-target DoS attacks using the Slowloris technique. The methodology involved simulating multi-target DoS attacks using `slowhttptest` against multiple target servers and configuring Wazuh Active Response to automatically block malicious IP addresses upon detection. Key metrics measured included Success Rate, Response Time Detection, and Response Time Blocking. The results showed a Success Rate of 100% with Active Response enabled, an average Response Time Detection of 10.36 seconds, and an average Response Time Blocking of 50.36 seconds. This study confirms that Wazuh Active Response effectively mitigates multi-target DoS attacks, ensuring a high success rate in blocking malicious IP addresses and demonstrating the potential of automated threat detection and response mechanisms in enhancing network security against complex attack scenarios.

Abstract

This current study aims to investigate the sustainability of the Green Economy Index assessment in Indonesia. The green economy is an economic model that carries out economic activities while taking into account environmental sustainability and social welfare. The multidimensional scaling through the Rapid Appraisal for Green Economy Index (Rap-GEI) ordination technique was employed in this study. Rap-GEI is a technique for assessing the sustainability of the green economy in Indonesia according to a number of attributes that are easy to assess multidimensionally. The results of the current study show that the sustainability status of the GEI assessment is less sustainable (45.47%) for the environmental dimension, quite sustainable (56.02%) for the economic dimension, and quite sustainable (55.30%) for the social dimension. The most sensitive attributes that require improvement are managed waste and share of renewable energy (environmental dimension), agricultural productivity and industrial sector labor productivity (economic dimension), as well as poverty rate and life expectancy (social dimension). In general, the results show that two of the three dimensions, namely economic and social, have a fairly good rating, but the environmental dimension still shows a poor rating and needs to be improved.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the potential for disputes on the status of Taxpayers in Tax Collection. This study was conducted using a qualitative method based on a case study on the Judicial Review Decision Number 503 PK / Pdt / 2020 and 318 / B / PK / Pjk / 2019 regarding the collection of Taxpayers for Taxpayers who make changes to management and go bankrupt. The purpose of the study is to determine the potential for disputes in the future and efforts to anticipate them. The data used are primary data obtained from interviews with informants, documentation and literature studies. The results of the study obtained are that the potential for disputes depends on resistance when collection actions are taken, differences of opinion between the Tax Authorities and Taxpayers or Judges and the weakness of the DGT material in Court. Meanwhile, efforts that can be made to anticipate it are to mitigate risks, anticipate legal efforts, carry out collection actions based on regulations, and conduct internal DGT evaluations.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to analyze the role of Confirmation Bias in determining the attitude and behavior of religious intolerance according to the lecturers of religiously affiliated universities in Yogyakarta. The concept of Confirmation Bias is one of the approaches contributed by Neuroscience that can be used to understand social phenomena such as intolerant attitudes and behavior in the context of societies with religious diversity. Through a survey followed by in-depth interviews, this research provides an overview of the informants’ views on creating attitudes of religious intolerance. An attitude of acceptance towards the existence of different religions eliminates confirmation bias towards conflict news that uses religious identities. However, in situations of group pressure, confirmation bias is related to something that has never been in memory which has the potential to give rise to intolerant attitudes or behavior.

Abstract

The demand for fast, stable, and reliable internet services continues to grow, particularly in densely populated residential areas. One of the ongoing issues is the limitations of Hybrid Fiber Coaxial (HFC) networks, which often result in low speeds, high latency, and unstable connections. This study aims to analyze the improvement in internet quality resulting from the migration from HFC to Fiber to the Home (FTTH) in Residential Area X, East Jakarta. A quantitative approach was employed, involving direct measurements on 100 homepasses before and after the migration. The parameters analyzed include download and upload speeds, latency, jitter, packet loss, Power Link Budget, Optical Power Budget, Round Trip Time (RTT), and Quality of Service (QoS) metrics. The results show a significant improvement in internet performance after the migration to FTTH. The average download speed increased from 16.75 Mbps to 128.79 Mbps, while the upload speed rose from 2.99 Mbps to 54.53 Mbps. Latency decreased from 66.23 ms to 5.73 ms, jitter dropped from 12.37 ms to 2.55 ms, and packet loss was reduced from 3.06% to 0.47%. Although FTTH has a lower power budget compared to HFC, the Power Link Budget analysis indicates that the network quality delivered by FTTH is more stable and reliable. These findings confirm that FTTH provides a significantly more stable and dependable internet connection than HFC.

Abstract

5G Core (5GC) Network is a key technology in fifth-generation cellular systems. One of the significant advancements in 5GC is the shift from a monolithic to a modular architecture with open access, enabling better development of the technology. However, many existing studies still focus on non-standalone 5GC, which includes the Evolved Packet Core (EPC) in its implementation. This study aims to implement a standalone 5GC architecture, as defined by 3GPP Release 15, on a bare metal server. The implementation integrates 5GC with User Equipment (UE) and Radio Access Network (RAN). The research methodology involves installing and configuring the Free5GC source code, integrating it with the UERANSIM simulator, and evaluating its performance using metrics such as bandwidth, throughput, and round-trip time (RTT). Results show that the implemented 5GC operates successfully and effectively supports data connectivity. The performance tests recorded an average bandwidth of 3.5 Gbps, a download throughput of 21.04 Mbps, an upload throughput of 19.125 Mbps, and an average RTT of 21.229 ms. This study contributes significantly to the advancement of open, flexible, and reliable 5G networks, particularly in enhancing data connectivity performance.

Abstract

Nowadays, world wide telecommunication researchers are developing 5G technology. One of most important key technology in 5G is Milimeter-Wave (mmWave). This study measure 60 GHz broadband wireless system performance because of it’s promising potentials. However, the use of these frequencies is quite sensitive to rain that resulting an atenuation in the channel. Therefore, this study proposes two schemes to address the problem. The first scheme is the use of QAM modulation (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) and the second scheme is an addition of LDPC (Low Density Parity Check) code techniques. From the results of this study, by using 4-QAM modulation and LDPC coderate 1/2, the broadband wireless system’s performance on the second scheme is better compared to the first scheme with 8.33 dB Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) value to provides BER (Bit Error Rate) 10-4
