Abstract

This study aims to apply a financial engineering model with a cost-benefit analysis (Cost Benefit Analysis) in the management of routine investments in movable assets at PT XYZ. The main objective of this research is to provide a systematic and quantitative framework to assist management in making optimal investment decisions. The theory used in this study includes the basic concepts of financial engineering and cost-benefit analysis. Financial engineering provides mathematical and statistical tools and methods to address complex financial problems, while cost-benefit analysis is used to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of various investment options. The research method used is a case study at PT XYZ. The data collected includes historical financial data, projections of income and expenses, information regarding routine investments made by the company, and interviews with company informants related to cost-benefit analysis. The analysis is conducted using cost-benefit analysis on the aspects of the time value of money, cost analysis, and financial risk by comparing various investment scenarios of movable assets on lease and purchase options. The results of this research are expected to provide recommendations that can be implemented by PT XYZ to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the company's movable asset investment management and optimize the allocation of the company's financial resources.

Abstract

Accurate modeling is expected to minimize risk and maximize profit in investment portfolios, one ofwhich is in stock price modeling. This research aims to model the causal relationship between stockprices using the Vector Autoregressive - Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity(VAR-GARCH) model. The VAR-GARCH model is used to overcome heteroscedasticity and modeldynamic volatility. The data used for the modeling consists of daily stock prices from July 2023 toMay 2024 for mining sub-sector companies listed on the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII), including ADMR,ADRO, and ANTM. The results showed that the VAR(1) model is stable, but this model indicates thepresence of heteroskedasticity or ARCH effects. Therefore, the VAR(1) model was combined with theGARCH model, and the results showed that the best model is VAR(1)-GARCH(1,1). The VAR(1)-GARCH(1,1) model is appropriate and meets the homoskedasticity assumptions for modeling the stockprices of the mining sub-sector in the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII). This indicates that the VAR-GARCHmodel could successfully handle the volatility of stock price data. In general, this research is in linewith previous research, i.e., the VAR-GARCH model showed a better model for capturing the volatilitypatterns in the data.

Abstract

This research aims to describe and analyze in a comprehensive and detailed manner the processes, outcomes, supporting factors, and inhibiting factors for compiling performance information using the Logic Model approach in planning and budgeting at the Biro Umum of the Sekretariat Daerah of North Kalimantan Province. The researcher uses the stages of building a Logic Model from Mclaughlin and Jordan (2015), which consist of gathering relevant information, defining problems and contexts, defining performance elements in tables, drawing models, and involving stakeholders in program verification. The results showed that the process and results of compiling performance planning and budgeting performance information at the Biro Umum of the Sekretariat Daerah of North Kalimantan Province were partly under the stages of building a Logic Model. However, the stages of drawing up the model and involving stakeholders in defining performance and program verification elements had yet to be fulfilled effectively. Existing performance indicators are output-oriented, not outcome-oriented. Recommendations for further research by evaluating the effectiveness of using the Logic Model approach in preparing planning and budgeting performance information.

Abstract

Penghindaran pajak merupakan praktik yang secara hukum diperbolehkan namun berpotensi mengurangi penerimaan negara, sehingga penting untuk memahami faktor-faktor yang memengaruhinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis determinan penghindaran pajak dengan memasukkan variabel profitabilitas, sustainability report, serta mekanisme corporate governance yang terdiri atas kepemilikan institusional, proporsi komisaris independen, dan keberadaan komite audit. Sampel penelitian meliputi 37 perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) selama periode 2019–2022, sehingga diperoleh 148 observasi. Pemilihan sampel dilakukan menggunakan metode purposive sampling, sedangkan data sekunder dikumpulkan dari laporan tahunan perusahaan dan situs resmi BEI. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan regresi linier berganda untuk menguji pengaruh masing-masing variabel independen terhadap penghindaran pajak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa profitabilitas dan kepemilikan institusional berpengaruh negatif terhadap penghindaran pajak, yang mengindikasikan bahwa perusahaan yang lebih menguntungkan serta memiliki tingkat kepemilikan institusional yang tinggi cenderung menerapkan praktik kepatuhan pajak yang lebih baik. Sebaliknya, sustainability report, proporsi komisaris independen, dan komite audit tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap penghindaran pajak. Temuan ini mengisyaratkan bahwa faktor internal perusahaan, khususnya profitabilitas dan struktur kepemilikan, lebih menentukan perilaku penghindaran pajak dibandingkan mekanisme tata kelola perusahaan yang bersifat formal. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi bagi regulator dan pemangku kepentingan untuk memperkuat pengawasan berbasis karakteristik internal perusahaan dalam upaya meningkatkan kepatuhan pajak korporasi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan dan mengonfigurasi Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) dengan Cisco Packet Tracer guna mengoptimalkan jaringan. Latar belakang permasalahan penelitian ini didasari oleh kebutuhan akan jaringan yang efisien dan aman dalam lingkungan lokal seperti kampus atau kantor. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimental dengan memanfaatkan perangkat lunak simulasi Cisco Packet Tracer versi 8.2.1. Simulasi dilakukan pada dua skenario konfigurasi VLAN, yaitu tanpa trunking dan dengan trunking. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata latency berada pada kisaran 5,2–7,1 ms, throughput stabil di atas 940–980 kbps, dan packet loss tercatat 0% pada seluruh skenario. Dibandingkan konfigurasi dasar tanpa trunking, penggunaan trunking menyebabkan kenaikan latency sekitar 30–36% (dari 5,2 ms menjadi 6,8–7,1 ms) serta sedikit penurunan throughput sebesar 3–4% (dari 980 kbps menjadi 940–950 kbps) akibat overhead tagging IEEE 802.1Q, namun tetap menjaga performa jaringan dalam kategori baik. Selain itu, isolasi VLAN terbukti mampu menurunkan broadcast traffic dan meningkatkan keamanan dengan membatasi akses antar perangkat pada VLAN berbeda. Dengan demikian, konfigurasi VLAN dapat diimplementasikan secara efektif untuk optimalisasi jaringan lokal dari sisi efisiensi, kinerja, dan keamanan. This study aims to implement and configure a Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) using Cisco Packet Tracer in order to optimize network performance. The research background is based on the need for an efficient and secure network within local environments such as campuses or offices. The research method applied is an experimental approach utilizing Cisco Packet Tracer version 8.2.1. The simulation was conducted under two VLAN configuration scenarios: without trunking and with trunking. The test results indicate that the average latency ranged from 5.2 to 7.1 ms, throughput remained stable at 940–980 kbps, and packet loss was recorded at 0% in all scenarios. Compared to the basic configuration without trunking, the use of trunking resulted in an increase in latency of approximately 30–36% (from 5.2 ms to 6.8–7.1 ms) and a slight decrease in throughput of about 3–4% (from 980 kbps to 940–950 kbps) due to IEEE 802.1Q tagging overhead, while still maintaining overall network performance within a good category. Furthermore, VLAN isolation was proven to reduce broadcast traffic and enhance security by restricting access between devices in different VLANs. Therefore, VLAN configuration can be effectively implemented to optimize local networks in terms of efficiency, performance, and security.
