Abstract

This study aims to improve the accuracy of predicting student academic achievement by integrating the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) method with the C4.5 Decision Tree algorithm. In the context of information systems, this research holds significant importance for the development of more reliable Decision Support Systems (DSS) or early warning systems in school environments. The research was conducted at SMPN 16 Jambi City using secondary data from three academic years (2022/2023-2024/2025) covering academic variables, attendance, and parental income. The main issue addressed was the limitations of the C4.5 algorithm in handling irrelevant features and unbalanced data, which, at the system implementation level, can lead to inaccurate recommendations or alerts.This research method employed a data mining approach with stages including data cleaning, numeric conversion, missing value imputation, formation of derived variables, and categorization of the target variable "Achievement." The initial C4.5 model produced 72.81% accuracy on the training data and 69.71% accuracy on cross-validation. After feature selection using ANOVA, one insignificant variable was removed, resulting in a hybrid C4.5+ANOVA model with nine key features. Test results showed an increase in accuracy to 80.44% on the training data and 73.66% on the cross-validation data, representing an improvement of 7.63 and 3.95 percentage points, respectively.This improvement in model performance directly translates to an enhancement in the quality of the information system's output, yielding more reliable reports and predictions for teachers and school management.

Abstract

UMKM merupakan sektor strategis yang berperan penting dalam perekonomian Indonesia, namun masih menghadapi berbagai kendala, terutama dalam aspek literasi digital, pemasaran, dan branding. Kondisi tersebut juga dialami oleh UMKM di Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi digital dan kapasitas branding UMKM melalui pelatihan yang berfokus pada storytelling dengan pemanfaatan Artificial Intelligence (AI) serta pembuatan logo yang sederhana, ringkas, dan praktis. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi ceramah interaktif, demonstrasi penggunaan AI dalam pembuatan konten pemasaran, praktik langsung desain logo, dan pendampingan UMKM. Kegiatan telah dilaksanakan pada Senin, 24 November 2025 di Aula Dinas Koperasi Tanjung Jabung Timur dengan jumlah peserta 20 orang. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta mengenai literasi digital, kemampuan menggunakan AI untuk storytelling pemasaran, serta keterampilan menciptakan logo identitas usaha. Peserta memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap materi yang praktis dan relevan. Kegiatan ini diharapkan mampu membantu UMKM Tanjung Jabung Timur membangun citra usaha yang lebih kuat dan memperluas akses pasar.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) memiliki peran strategis dalam pertumbuhan ekonomi daerah, namun masih menghadapi keterbatasan dalam membangun identitas visual yang profesional, khususnya dalam pembuatan logo usaha. Biaya desain profesional yang relatif tinggi menjadi kendala bagi sebagian pelaku UMKM. Perkembangan teknologi Artificial Intelligence (AI), khususnya Text-to-Image AI, menawarkan solusi alternatif yang cepat, terjangkau, dan kreatif dalam menghasilkan desain visual berbasis deskripsi teks. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan pelaku UMKM di Kota Jambi dalam memanfaatkan teknologi Text-to-Image AI untuk pembuatan logo usaha. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif melalui tahapan pre-test, penyampaian materi, demonstrasi, praktik langsung, dan post-test. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan skala Likert 1–5 terhadap 17 peserta. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata pemahaman dari 2,47 pada pre-test menjadi 4,38 pada post-test. Peningkatan signifikan terjadi pada indikator kemampuan menyusun prompt dan kepercayaan diri menggunakan logo berbasis AI. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan berbasis praktik AI efektif dalam meningkatkan kapasitas branding digital UMKM secara mandiri dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to design an Enterprise Architecture (EA) using the TOGAF ADM 9.2 framework as a systematic approach to support the implementation of the National Education Standards (SNP) at SMKN 1 Merangin, in response to the rapid advancement of technology that requires educational institutions to adopt integrated information systems, while addressing challenges such as the lack of integration between curriculum, technological infrastructure, and teacher competencies, with the expectation that the resulting architecture model will help optimize the use of information technology, improve operational efficiency, and ensure the achievement of nationally established education standards.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the acceptance of Google Gemini among university students by comparing two popular technology acceptance models, Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). Both models were employed to assess the factors influencing the intention and behavior of technology usage, particularly in an academic context. Using data collected through questionnaires containing statements derived from both models, this study identifies the impact of factors such as Perceived Usefulness (PU), Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), Social Influence (SI), and Facilitating Conditions (FC) on the acceptance of Google Gemini. The results indicate that while TAM provides basic insights into how ease of use and usefulness influence usage intention, UTAUT proves to be more effective in explaining the acceptance of Google Gemini, especially when considering external factors such as social support and facilitating conditions. These findings suggest that UTAUT is a more suitable model for researching the acceptance of complex technologies like Google Gemini, which involve social interactions and the need for technical support. This study contributes valuable insights to the development of more adaptable technology acceptance models for the higher education context.

Abstract

A web-based course information system is an important solution in improving the quality and efficiency of course management, considering that this system is able to simplify various processes such as registration, managing participant data, delivering material and evaluation. Information systems, which consist of an organized combination of people, hardware, software, communications networks, data sources, and policies and procedures, play a central role in storing, retrieving, changing, and separating information. The Adiwangsa Jambi Health Center, as a course institution accredited A by the Indonesian Ministry of Health, focuses on developing human resources in the health sector. Even though it has a profile website, the Adiwangsa Health Center still faces obstacles in managing operations which are carried out manually, such as recording data and administering participants, which affects efficiency and accuracy. The transformation from a manual system to an information technology-based system is expected to improve operational processes and improve services to participants and other stakeholders. One model that can be used to design this system is the Unified Modeling Language (UML), which can assist in designing information systems through various diagrams such as use cases, classes, and activities to ensure a match between functional requirements analysis and design results. This research aims to design and implement a website-based Massive Open Online Course (SIMOOC) Information System at the Adiwangsa Jambi Health Center, in order to increase efficiency, productivity and the institution's competitive advantage.
