Abstract

Mathematics learning is often perceived as difficult by students due to its abstract nature and the need for strong logical thinking and visualization skills, particularly in geometry topics such as solid shapes. Many students struggle to grasp three-dimensional concepts through verbal explanations or static textbook images alone. Therefore, there is a need for innovative teaching materials that can bridge conceptual understanding in a more concrete and engaging way. This study aims to develop mathematics teaching materials using the GeoGebra application for the topic of solid geometry to enhance student engagement in the learning process. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The validation process involved experts in subject matter, design, and media. The research subjects consisted of 30 eighth-grade students and a mathematics teacher at SMP Negeri 1 Uwapa. Two instruments were used: expert validation questionnaires and practicality questionnaires for both teachers and students. All instruments utilized a Likert scale for quantitative data analysis regarding the validity and practicality of the teaching materials. Based on the research findings, the developed mathematics teaching materials received validation scores of 94.40% from subject matter experts, 97.25% from design experts, and 84.00% from media experts, classifying them as highly valid. After validation, the materials were tested on students, yielding practicality scores of 94.71% for individual trials, 94.47% for small group trials, and 92.09% for large group trials, categorizing them as highly practical.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of using audio-visual media and learning motivation on student learning outcomes in science (IPA) in the subject of green plants, with a specific focus on the process of photosynthesis. Using a quantitative approach with a 2x2 factorial experimental design, this study involved 40 fifth-grade students from SDN Inpres Maidai, divided into two groups based on the type of learning media (audio-visual and images) and level of learning motivation (high and low). The instruments used included achievement tests and motivation questionnaires that had been validated for validity and reliability. The results of the two-way ANOVA analysis revealed that both learning media and learning motivation had a significant influence on student learning outcomes (p < 0.05), with audio-visual media and high motivation contributing the most to academic achievement. However, no significant interaction was found between the two variables, indicating that learning media and learning motivation operate independently in influencing learning outcomes. These findings emphasize the importance of selecting appropriate learning media and strategies to enhance learning motivation as two separate yet complementary approaches in improving the effectiveness of science education at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of liquidity, leverage, cash flow, and managerial agency cost on financial distress among manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Using multiple linear regression analysis, the results show that liquidity and cash flow have a significant negative effect on financial distress, indicating that firms with higher current ratios and stronger operating cash flows are less likely to experience financial difficulties. In contrast, leverage and managerial agency costs have a significant positive effect, suggesting that excessive debt and inefficient managerial spending increase the likelihood of financial distress. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.983 indicates that these four variables explain 98.3% of the variation in financial distress. The findings emphasize the importance of maintaining financial efficiency and controlling agency costs to enhance corporate financial stability.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan Penyusunan LKPD berbasis kurikulum Merdeka Belajar bagi guru SMA PKN se-Kota Surabaya. Metode pengabdian yang digunakan berupa ceramah, diskusi dan praktik, sedangkan langkah-langkah pelaknasanaan pengabdian meliputi; 1) tahap penyusunan dan pengembangan materi pelaithan; 2) tahap pelatihan; dan 3) tahap pendampingan pembuatan perangkat pembelajaran. Hasil dari pengabdian ini menunjukan bahwa pelatihan yang dilaksanakan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan guru PKn dalam pembuatan perangkat pembelajaran yaitu RPP, Media, Bahan Ajar, LKPD dan Evaluasi.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penulisan artikel ini adalah mengembangkan potensi kemampuan penulisan karya tulis ilmiah Guru PPKn. Kegiatan pelatihan ini merupakan bentuk pembinaan, motivasi dalam menulis karya tulis ilmiah untuk meningkatkan sumber daya manusia. Metode penelitian adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian memberikan jawaban bahwasanya kualitas sumber daya manusia dapat dicapai apabila adanya pelatihan dan pendidikan yang mendukung. Maka, pelatihan karya tulis ilmiah adalah penting dilakukan terutama bagi Guru PPKn dalam mengembangkan diri membentuk pribadi yang unggul dan berdaya saing tinggi.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in the context of enhancing student creativity and independence through a literature review focusing on national policies and learning practices in the field. The Merdeka Curriculum is designed to provide flexibility to schools and teachers in developing a more contextual, student-centred, and project-based learning process, thereby optimally fostering the creative potential and independence of students. A review of policy documents, scientific literature, and case studies shows that the implementation of this curriculum has had a positive impact in the form of increased learning motivation, critical thinking skills, and the acquisition of independent learning management skills. However, the success of its implementation still depends on teacher readiness, resource support, and the involvement of various stakeholders. This study recommends improving teacher training, strengthening learning facilities, and conducting continuous evaluations to ensure the effectiveness of the Merdeka Curriculum in realising the goals of 21st-century education.

Abstract

Dampak hospitalisasi dapat mengakibatkan kecemasan bagi anak dan orang tua. Perasaan cemas, marah, sedih, takut, dan rasa bersalah dapat timbul karena anak mengalami sesuatu yang tidak biasa dialami anak yang menimbulkan perasaan negatif pada orang tua. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan perilaku caring perawat dengan tingkat kecemasan orang tua akibat hospitalisasi pada anak di Rumah Sakit Islam Lumajang. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kuantitatif diskriptif korelasi dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 40 orang tua anak yang menjalani perawatan, dan diambil dengan tenik total sampling. Alat ukur menggunakan kuesioner Caring Behavior Index 24 (CBI-24) dan Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS). Uji analisis penelitian menggunakan uji sperman rho test. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa caring perawat sebagian besar perawat memiliki perilaku caring kategori baik sebanyak 32 responden (80%), sebagian besar responden memiliki tingkat kecemasan kategori tidak cemas sebanyak 29 responden (72,5%). Nilai sig. (2-tailed) diperoleh 0,000<0,05 yang artinya terdapat hubungan perilaku caring perawat dengan tingkat kecemasan orang tua akibat hospitalisasi pada anak di Rumah Sakit Islam Lumajang. Perilaku caring perawat dapat dilakukan perawat dengan melibatkan orang tua dalam proses perawatan sehingga mengurangi kecemasan orang tua dan dampak hospitalisasi bagi anak.

Abstract

National character is an important pillar in the life of the nation and state. If the nation does not have national character, it will be difficult for the nation to become independent. One of the many characters that are applied is a religious character. The value of religious character is a value that is closely related to Belief in One Almighty God. Religious values in character education are very important because they become part of a person's belief in a true value that comes from the religion he believes in or adheres to and can be a strong motivation in building good character in a person both spiritually and naturally. The need for this character value is owned especially for students at SMAN 1 Menganti so that a person with good morals is formed.The purpose of this study was to examine the forms of instilling religious character values for class X students at SMAN 1 Menganti Gresik as a whole and also to identify the teacher's role in strengthening the inculcation of religious character values for class X students at SMAN 1 Menganti Gresik. This study used a descriptive qualitative method to find data on the inculcation of religious character values for class X students at SMAN 1 Menganti Gresik and the data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study were obtained if the inculcation of the religious character values of students in class X at SMAN 1 Menganti had been carried out properly such as scheduling sunnah prayer activities, celebrating major religious events, getting used to behaving politely to everyon.

Abstract

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a significant health issue closely associated with mortality. The prevalence of this disease has been increasing significantly worldwide each year. It is characterized by a permanent decline in kidney function that cannot be reversed within three months or even many years. Eventually, the kidneys may cease to function properly. Failure to adapt to stress impacts the mechanism of coping, self-awareness self-control, and self-efficacy decreasing that impact on self-management and quality of life. This research aims to illustrate the influence of adaptation to stress as effort enhancement self-management and quality of life in patients with chronic kidney disease. A systematic review using the PRISMA protocol and the JBI Critical Appraisal Tool was used to determine which articles met the three requirements of electronic databases (PubMed, Google Scholar, ScienceDirect ). Inclusion criteria include the quality of life of chronic kidney disease patients published in English within the last 5 years (2019-2024). This summarizes twenty - two articles. Discuss the influence of adaptation to stress, self-management, and quality of life for patients with chronic kidney disease. Self-management and quality of life in patients with chronic kidney disease are influenced by adaptive stress, including 1) Focal stimuli (level of severity, duration of hemodialysis, symptoms), 2) Contextual stimuli (distance to health facility, family support, power of health support, satisfaction with health service, employment, economic status, health insurance, marital status), 3) Residual stimuli (age, religion, level of education, sex of type). Positive coping strategies, self-awareness, self-control, and self-efficacy can improve the adaptation process to stress, thus having a positive impact on self-management and quality of life in patients with chronic kidney disease.

Abstract

Patient safety culture has emerged as a global priority necessitating improvement to prevent patient accidents. Measuring the competency of healthcare workers concerning patient safety within health services is essential, and various instruments can be employed for this purpose. This study aims to analyze the instruments used to measure patient safety competency. Method: A systematic review was conducted using the PRISMA protocol and the JBI assessment tool to identify eligible articles. Two electronic databases, PubMed and Google Scholar, were searched. The keywords used in the research included “instrument safety culture in clinical settings”; “Safety culture instrument”; "instrument for patient safety culture". Inclusion criteria encompassed research on instruments measuring patient safety competency, published in English within the last ten years (2014-2024). Results: The review identified 15 articles that met the inclusion criteria. Four types of instruments were commonly used to measure patient safety competency: the Safety Attitudes Questionnaire (SAQ), the Manchester Patient Safety Framework (MaPSAF), the Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture (HSOPSC), and the TeamSTEPPS Teamwork Perceptions Questionnaire (T-TPQ). Conclusion: The instruments SAQ, MaPSAF, HSOPSC, and T-TPQ have demonstrated effectiveness in measuring various dimensions related to patient safety culture. To optimize the assessment of patient safety culture within health service facilities.
