Abstract

The reorientation of policies related to Abandonment and Site Restoration (ASR) in the oil and gas industry is an important step to ensure environmental sustainability post-operation. This research aims to evaluate the implementation of ASR policies in Indonesia, regulated under Law No. 22 of 2001 on Oil and Gas and Government Regulation No. 27 of 2012 concerning Environmental Permits. The methodology used includes qualitative analysis of existing regulations, in-depth interviews with stakeholders in the oil and gas sector, and case studies of several companies that have implemented ASR practices. By focusing on the aspect of corporate responsibility in site recovery after operational activities, this research identifies the challenges faced by businesses in implementing sustainable ASR practices. The findings indicate the need for a review of existing regulations to align with sustainability principles and environmental protection. Recommendations for policy improvement include strengthening oversight, developing clear technical guidelines, and increasing local community engagement in the restoration process. It is expected that this policy reorientation can enhance corporate accountability and protect the environment, providing positive impacts for communities and ecosystems surrounding operational sites.

Abstract

Jerome Bruner's cognitive theory plays a significant role in modern education, particularly in primary education, by emphasizing active student involvement in the learning process. This theory is structured around three stages of learning: enactive, iconic, and symbolic. Bruner's discovery learning approach encourages students to construct knowledge through exploration, fostering critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving. The spiral curriculum further supports continuous learning, revisiting basic concepts at progressively complex levels. In the context of 21st-century education, Bruner's theory aligns well with the development of higher-order thinking skills, communication, and collaboration, supported by the integration of technology. Despite the promising outcomes, challenges such as limited resources, teacher training, and technology integration remain. This literature review explores studies from 2010 to 2024 that analyze the application of Bruner's cognitive theory in primary education, with a focus on the effectiveness of discovery learning, scaffolding, and spiral curriculum in fostering critical thinking and 21st-century skills

The viticulture method itself can produce a lovely environment and economic significance. To treat students and create a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere in the classroom (i). Besides that, using vegetable cooking techniques can increase students' understanding of knowing natural spices that can be used as cooking spices that guarantee the long-term health of students and teachers.

Abstract

This research article explores effective strategies to enhance English speaking skills among Generation Z (Gen Z) learners, known as the first truly digital-native generation. Despite their extensive exposure to English media, many Gen Z individuals face challenges in developing their English speaking proficiency. This mixed-methods study employs surveys and qualitative interviews to collect data on the perceived effectiveness of various strategies. The findings highlight the crucial role of technology in English speaking development, with digital language learning applications and online language exchange platforms being recognized as potent tools. Moreover, the study emphasizes the significance of authentic communication experiences, such as role-plays and debates, and the value of peer collaboration in improving English speaking skills. Common challenges identified include time constraints and the influence of informal language use. Consequently, the implications of this research underscore the integration of technology, the promotion of authentic communication, the facilitation of peer collaboration, and the implementation of strategies to address time constraints in English language instruction for Gen Z learners. By adopting these approaches, educators and policymakers can establish engaging learning environments that empower Gen Z learners to thrive in our interconnected society.

Abstract

Intercultural or another term for intercultural is a concept that brings together two or more cultural elements to then be integrated into new knowledge and understanding for each individual or group of people who want to know about the development of foreign cultures. In learning literature, intercultural is needed as a forum to develop global insight and knowledge. Learning literature is not only learning about the nature and content of literary works, learning literature means learning to be cultured and cultivating the culture itself. The data for this study were taken from famous novels from each country. The research data are: A novel entitled "Geisha" by Arthur Golden from Japan and a novel entitled "Cantik itu Luka" by Eka Kurniawan from Indonesia. This study is a qualitative phenomenological study by raising the similarities in culture and the position of women in the two novels used as data. This study aims to explain that there are similarities in culture in Indonesia and Japan that can be observed through learning literature, especially fictional works in the form of novels. This study found that Japanese women and Indonesian women are considered inferior and only tools to satisfy male lust. But behind that assumption, there is strength and politeness in women that makes them valuable and able to rise against the reality of life presented in front of them. Women are not weak creatures, whatever their culture, women are important entities that support the sustainability of human life on earth.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of applying the snowball throwing learning model to the mathematics learning outcomes of class XI students at SMK N 3 Bondowoso. The design used is a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample was obtained for class XI B SMK N 3 Bondowoso through random activities, namely random samples. Collecting data by testing student learning outcomes with five items for each pretest and posttest As for the data test of student learning outcomes using normal distribution, namely Kolmogorov-Smirnov and homogenity, The results showed a significant correlation of 0.000 <0.05, and the paired sample t test data also obtained a sig value of 0.000 <  0.05. That way there is influence or relationship between the pretest and the posttest, so that the snowball throwing model is effective on students' mathematics learning outcomes in class XI B SMK N 3 Bondowoso
