Abstract

One of the main factors that cause environmental damage in Indonesia is waste. Reducing waste by burning it directly without an incinerator will cause air pollution for the environment. CO2 is a substance produced by a complete combustion process. The amount of waste produced by Bandung Regency reaches 1,480.1 tons/day, with 20% of the waste being plastic waste. One way to utilize plastic waste is to recycle it into materials to produce paver blocks. Producing paver blocks requires a series of machines, such as crushing machines, plastic melting machines, and pressing machines. Plastic waste that has been sorted is put into a chopping machine and cut into 10 mm pieces. The plastic that has been cut is then melted down and printed, then re-pressed with a press machine. The type of plastic used in this research is polypropylene, with a melting point of 160-170°C. The size of the paver block produced is compatible with the market size. During the production of paver blocks, the CO2 concentration was monitored to see the effect of resin melting. In the analysis of paver blocks' economic potential, we found that the production cost using plastic waste is relatively expensive compared to conventional paver blocks. However, this type of paver block is not harmful to the environment. The results of this study indicate that plastic waste paver blocks can be used as paver block materials because they have quite an impact on the environment, although their economic value cannot compete with conventional paver blocks.

Abstract

The earthworm Eudrilus eugeniae (African Night Crawler) can be used as a raw material for making protein hydrolysates. Hydrolysis of earthworms using papain enzyme produces peptides that have bioactivity as antioxidants. Antioxidant activity in earthworm hydrolysate is caused by phenolic compounds that have an important role in neutralizing free radicals. This study aims to determine the effect of earthworm concentration and papain enzyme concentration on soluble protein, total phenolic content, and antioxidant activity. This study used the Randomized Block Design (RBD) method arranged with two factors, namely earthworm concentration (20% 30%, and 40% (w/v)) and papain enzyme concentration (8%, 10%, and 12% (w/v)) with three replications. Data analysis used Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and continued with the DMRT test. The results showed that earthworm concentration, papain enzyme concentration, and the interaction between the two factors had a significant effect (p<0.05) on the test results of soluble protein, total phenolic content, and antioxidant activity. The treatment with earthworm concentration (40% (w/v)) and papain enzyme concentration (12% (w/v)) produced the highest mean soluble protein, total phenolic content, and antioxidant activity of 11.47%, 23.07 mg GAE/mL hydrolysate, and 3301.42 ppm.

Abstract

This study presents a comparative evaluation of machine learning models for sentiment analysis on Tokopedia user reviews written in the Indonesian language. The objective is to assess the effectiveness of three algorithms—Support Vector Machine (SVM), Random Forest (RF), and Multilayer Perceptron (MLP)—in classifying customer sentiments extracted from Tokopedia reviews on Google Play Store. The dataset, collected between January and October 2025, consists of 10,236 unique entries after preprocessing, which included text cleaning, case folding, tokenization, stopword removal, normalization using a verified Indonesian word normalization dictionary, and optional stemming with the Sastrawi library. The reviews were divided into positive and negative categories based on rating polarity (4–5 stars as positive; 1–2 stars as negative). Each model was evaluated using both hold-out validation (80:20 split) and 5-fold cross-validation, employing metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. Experimental results indicate that the SVM achieved the highest accuracy of 0.88, outperforming Random Forest (0.85) and MLP (0.83). These findings demonstrate that SVM performs more robustly on sparse TF-IDF vector features and is more resistant to noise within informal Indonesian expressions. The research further discusses the linguistic challenges inherent in Indonesian sentiment analysis, including code-mixing, abbreviations, and non-standard words, while proposing preprocessing strategies to mitigate them. The outcomes of this study contribute to enhancing the reliability of sentiment-based decision support systems in Indonesian e-commerce platforms. The methodological framework developed here can serve as a baseline for future work involving hybrid or deep-learning approaches such as LSTM or IndoBERT for improved contextual understanding.

Abstract

Meskipun gain belum mencapai 6 dBi, antena tetap menunjukkan performa sesuai harapan. Kata kunci— antena, fraktal, mikrostrip, pola radiasi, switchbeam.

Abstract

In the Cijurey Dam Package I conduit construction project, formwork technology is an important aspect because it is entirely the responsibility of the contractor, so the implementation risks need to be minimized. Initially, the concrete casting method used conventional formwork that was made directly at the project site. However, developments in the construction world demand more efficient methods, leading to the emergence of alternatives such as the use of prefabricated formwork. One type used is sliding formwork. This study aims to evaluate the cost and time effectiveness between conventional formwork and sliding formwork, as well as analyze the reasons for their selection in the Cijurey Dam Package I conduit work. The research method was carried out by calculating the estimated cost and duration of conventional formwork, then comparing the results with the data on the use of sliding formwork in the project. The results show that the Cijurey Dam Package I Construction Project used sliding formwork at a cost of Rp 185.185,00 per square meter, with a cost difference of Rp 342.819.286,34 or about 12,37% cheaper than the calculation using conventional formwork, which averaged - average of Rp 211.332,06. In addition to cost and time considerations, sliding formwork has a faster construction time of 2 hours per tunnel block conduit compared to conventional formwork.
