Abstract

Several factors influence the low level of student participation. One of the causes of low student learning participation in citizenship education courses is the use of learning models during lectures. This research aims to increase student participation by applying the Jigsaw learning model in the Citizenship Education course. This research uses mixed methods, namely combining qualitative and quantitative research. Quantitative methods were used for questionnaire instruments to collect data on student participation levels after implementing the jigsaw learning model. In contrast, qualitative methods were used to analyze data using the Miles and Huberman model of qualitative data analysis, which consists of data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The subjects in this research were management study program students studying citizenship. The research results show increased student participation in Citizenship Education courses after implementing the Jigsaw learning model, with an average achievement of 88%, which is included in the high criteria. The Jigsaw learning model is appropriate because it can increase student participation in Citizenship Education courses.

Abstract

This study aims to prove and analyze the application of the jurisprudential inquiry method based on the Edmodo electronic learning media to improve students' critical thinking skills in the Citizenship Education course. This type of research uses classroom action research by developing a model from Stephen Kemmis & Robin McTaggart in the form of a cycle of planning, action and observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 32 students. The data collection technique used a structured observation instrument and a free description test. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics frequencies with the help of the SPSS 24 application to process the data from the student critical thinking observation questionnaire, the one sample t test with SPSS 24 to see the results of student learning completeness, and the nonparametric test - binomal test with SPSS 24 to see the results classical student learning mastery. The results showed that the high level of critical thinking of students in the Citizenship Education course by applying the jurisprudential inquiry learning method assisted by the Edmodo application. Learning Citizenship Education is no longer a boring subject for students because lecturers can apply learning methods and learning media that are combined innovatively, creatively, and effectively.

Abstract

Studying rhetoric means discussing the concept and application of a philosophy of science in a particular scientific field. The philosophy of science is all human thoughts spontaneously respond to every problem in the context of the basic concept of the formation of a science or the relationship between one science and another for the good of mankind In this method to be able to study rhetoric as a use and application in the scientific field of civic education we can use literature study or literature study. In the explanation above, the application of rhetoric in the scientific field of civic education is a form of branch of science that aims to form good and smart citizenship in civic life. So in the delivery of civic education science in delivering learning material can be done by providing logical arguments by showing evidence directly or indirectly to be able to prove scientific Civic education application of rhetoric in scientific midwives Civic education is a branch of the discipline of law and politics packaged in education which aims to form Smart and Good Citizenship. With good, ethical, and emotional delivery supported by the delivery of strong and accurate evidence, and can argue logically in presenting the evidence.

Abstract

This essay explores the factors that cause a lack of effective preparation of citizens supporting the democratic political system carried by educational institutions, especially schools. After describing the global context, in particular the tendency (trend) practices of Citizenship Education that has shifted to the sheer mission preparation productive workforce as it promoted the ideology of neoliberal role strategies educational institutions (schools), not in the setting up of citizens supporting democratic values , further description focuses on the development of the humanist school culture, which the authors believe to be an absolute prerequisite for learning effective democracy. Recently described of learning about democracy effectically, next, it describes theorization of by a description of the importance of critical pedagogy and ended by a description of the change of learning democracy into learning democracy democratically.

Abstract

Pancasila and Civic Education Subjects (PPKn) in junior high schools are prerequisite subjects with abstract material. To facilitate understanding of the values of Pancasila, it is necessary to develop learning media to make it easier for students to understand and apply the values of Pancasila as the way of life of the Indonesian people. This research aims to develop learning media that can be used by teachers in teaching Pancasila and Civic Education in junior high schools. This study uses a research and development method to develop learning media ROTELA (wheel guess the image of Pancasila). This research was implemented in State Junior High School in Yogyakarta City. The research subjects were Pancasila and Civic Education teachers and VIII grade students. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used qualitative and quantitative analysis. The development research follow the steps of Borg and Gall. The results showed that the media based on ROTELA were developed very feasible to be used in teaching Pancasila dan Civic Education in junior high school for Pancasila as the way of life of the Indonesian people. The results of the validation of the material experts showed 90%, and media experts 96.6%.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between students' perceptions of the quality of democracy in Indonesia and their civic behavior. Using a quantitative descriptive survey method, this research involved 737 respondents who were students at the State University of Yogyakarta (UNY), selected through random sampling. Data collection took place from May to October 2024 at UNY. Through Spearman's correlation analysis, the study found a correlation coefficient of 0.360 with a significance level of 0.01. This result indicates a positive relationship between students' perceptions of democracy quality in Indonesia and their civic behavior. However, the relationship between the two variables is relatively weak, as the correlation coefficient is far from one. In other words, although students' perceptions of democracy somewhat influence their civic behavior, the impact is not strong enough. These findings suggest the need for additional efforts to improve the quality of democracy in Indonesia to foster more active and positive citizenship among students. This study emphasizes that citizenship education in higher education institutions to strengthen students' understanding of democracy and enhance their participation as democratic citizens

Abstract

Era digital membawa peluang sekaligus tantangan baru, terutama bagi anak-anak yang berhadapan dengan hukum (ABH). Mereka rentan terhadap penyalahgunaan teknologi informasi dan minimnya kesadaran hukum serta keamanan digital. Penelitian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pendampingan dan edukasi literasi digital bagi ABH sebagai upaya membangun kesadaran hukum dan keamanan digital di RT 07 RW 59 Sengkan Joho, Condongcatur, Sleman. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan partisipatoris melalui kegiatan penyuluhan, diskusi interaktif, simulasi penggunaan digital yang aman, serta refleksi bersama. Sasaran kegiatan adalah anak-anak yang pernah berkonflik dengan hukum maupun anak-anak berisiko tinggi terhadap pelanggaran hukum di lingkungan tersebut. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pendampingan yang dilakukan secara sistematis dan berbasis pendekatan empatik mampu meningkatkan pemahaman anak terhadap pentingnya hukum, etika digital, dan cara melindungi diri di dunia maya. Anak-anak juga menunjukkan peningkatan kesadaran terhadap konsekuensi hukum dari aktivitas daring yang tidak bertanggung jawab. Selain itu, keterlibatan tokoh masyarakat dan orang tua menjadi faktor pendukung penting dalam membangun ekosistem digital yang aman dan inklusif bagi anak. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini menekankan pentingnya sinergi antara edukasi hukum dan literasi digital sebagai strategi preventif terhadap potensi pelanggaran hukum oleh anak di era digital. Kegiatan ini diharapkan menjadi model pemberdayaan masyarakat berbasis perlindungan anak dan transformasi digital yang beretika.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan nilai-nilai Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan dalam meningkatkan kesadaran akan Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja di lingkungan industri. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kepustakaan, yang melibatkan analisis berbagai sumber akademik dan regulasi terkait K3. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penguatan nilai-nilai PKn, seperti tanggung jawab sosial dan kepedulian terhadap rekan kerja, tanggung jawab, kepatuhan hukum, partisipasi aktif, dan solidaritas sosial, diyakini dapat berperan dalam membentuk budaya keselamatan kerja secara signifikan meningkatkan kepatuhan pekerja terhadap prosedur keselamatan, mengurangi risiko kecelakaan, serta membangun lingkungan kerja yang lebih aman dan produktif.Teori Konstruktivisme Sosial dan Theory of Planned Behavior digunakan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana interaksi sosial dan sikap positif terhadap K3 mempengaruhi kepatuhan pekerja terhadap prosedur keselamatan. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi praktis bagi perusahaan dalam merancang program pelatihan K3 yang efektif, dengan menekankan pentingnya internalisasi nilai-nilai kewarganegaraan sebagai bagian dari budaya organisasi.

Abstract

This study aims to describe Paulo Freire's profile and Paulo Freire's thoughts about citizenship and his involvement in citizenship education. This study uses a having to do with figuring out the quality of things without measuring them with numbers approach with library research, analysis of data that has been found, and drawing conclusions. This study uses an inductive approach. The first data source in this study comes from the book “Education of the Oppresed”. While secondary data sources come from books, scientific journals, as well as information from different other book-related sources to the object of research. Paulo Freire is a figure of humanist education. Although he never explicitly mentions civics and citizenship education in his works, Paulo Freire has left thoughts that have relevant contributions to civics and citizenship education. His thoughts on citizenship, which he calls the oppressed and the oppressors, are in line with the theory of critical citizenship. Freire has the thought of redefining the concept of citizenship for the oppressed so that they are free from the shadows of the oppressors and free both of them in a humane situation (humanization). In line with that his thoughts on education are also relevant to one of the schools of philosophy of citizenship education, namely critical citizenship education. The concept of education that Freire wants to build is education that liberates through education on dialogic issues.

Abstract

AbstrakProgram pelatihan teknik shibori dilaksanakan untuk menjawab permasalahan rendahnya keterampilan produktif dan keterbatasan akses ekonomi anggota Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Srikandi di Dusun Mrican, Kecamatan Depok, Kabupaten Sleman. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kecakapan hidup, keterampilan tekstil, dan kapasitas kewirausahaan perempuan pasca pandemi. Pelatihan diikuti oleh 20 peserta yang seluruhnya merupakan ibu rumah tangga, menggunakan metode ceramah, demonstrasi, praktik langsung, dan pendampingan digital marketing. Tahapan kegiatan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan teknik ikat-celup, penguatan pemasaran digital, evaluasi hasil, dan refleksi kelompok. Hasil pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta hingga 71,9%. Peserta menghasilkan karya kain shibori yang variatif dan mulai memasarkan produk secara daring. Testimoni peserta menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dan keinginan untuk berwirausaha secara mandiri. Secara keseluruhan, program pelatihan ini berhasil meningkatkan keterampilan teknis, menumbuhkan kesadaran kewirausahaan, serta memperkuat jejaring komunitas perempuan berbasis keterampilan lokal. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini dapat menjadi model pemberdayaan perempuan yang berkelanjutan di tingkat desa sekaligus berkontribusi pada penguatan ekonomi keluarga pasca pandemi. Kata kunci: Life skills, Pelatihan Keterampilan, Pemberdayaan Perempuan, Shibori.
