Abstract

This research explains that since Indonesia's establishment, Pesantren has demonstrated its ability to adapt to changing educational models as the embryo of the education model. During the transition of the educational model, this institution served as a grass-roots institution that provided basic education to people at all levels. Pesantren is competitive in assuring the development of a model of the education system that competes with the numerous models offered by other modern educational institutions. The Pesantren transformation model was examined using qualitative analysis in this study. Concrete data demonstrates that Pesantren as an Islamic institution has matured, with a wide range of options that contribute to the creation of pesantren's basic values as the spirit and culture of Indonesia. The result revealed that Pesantren, an Islamic educational institution, was developed and capable of competing in the face of education transformation needs.

Abstract

Religious character is an essential aspect that must be considered in the learning process because strong religious values can serve as a safeguard against anarchic attitudes, moral decline, and various criminal behaviors commonly found in primary education. Therefore, this study focuses on: (1) how a contextual‑based Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning model is implemented to strengthen the religious character of elementary school students; (2) the strategies used by PAI teachers to develop and reinforce students’ religious character through contextual learning; and (3) the implications of applying the contextual PAI model on strengthening students’ religious character. Islamic Religious Education as a problem‑solving approach cannot be effective if taught merely textually; it needs to be presented contextually. This research employs a qualitative approach with observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection methods, and uses Miles and Huberman’s data analysis techniques, including data grouping, data processing, data verification, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study produced: (1) a contextual‑based PAI learning model for forming students’ religious character; (2) teacher strategies in shaping students’ religious character; and (3) the implications of the contextual PAI model for strengthening students’ religious character.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the use of Augmented Reality learning media in the IPAS subject can improve the learning outcomes of third-grade elementary school students. This research employed a quantitative approach using an experimental method with a one group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were all third-grade students of SD Negeri 69 Banda Aceh. Data were collected through pretest and posttest. The results of the normality test using the Shapiro-Wilk test showed that the significance value for the pretest data was 0.088 and for the posttest data was 0.099. Since both significance values were greater than 0.05, it can be concluded that the data were normally distributed and suitable for further analysis. The results of the Paired Samples Test used to examine the differences between pretest and posttest scores showed a significance value of 0.000 (≤ 0.05) with an average improvement of 25.00000. These results indicate that the use of Augmented Reality learning media has a positive effect on improving students learning outcomes in the IPAS subject. The conclusion of this study is that Augmented Reality learning media in the IPAS subject are effective in improving students learning outcomes on the topic of natural and artificial features in the local area.
