Abstract

This study presents a systematic literature review of the POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling) management model as a strategic approach to planning the annual programs of PAUD (Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini) units. The review examines how each component of the POAC model contributes to enhancing leadership, improving the quality of planning, and facilitating program implementation in early childhood education settings. Through an extensive thematic analysis of peer-reviewed literature published between 2018 and 2024, the study identifies patterns, strengths, and practical challenges associated with the application of the model in PAUD institutions. Findings indicate that POAC-based management enhances administrative coordination, fosters participative leadership, and supports effective monitoring mechanisms. However, gaps persist in empirical evidence linking POAC to measurable child developmental outcomes, particularly in low-resource educational environments. The study recommends future research that integrates POAC with local context-specific strategies and calls for more evidence on its pedagogical impacts. Overall, this review affirms POAC's potential as a valuable framework for improving the governance and quality of early childhood education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study reviews a teacher performance management development model leveraging the Smart Apps Creator application to enhance supervision effectiveness in elementary schools. In the current digital era, school supervision must adapt to innovative technologies to ensure quality foundational learning. The Smart Apps Creator offers a platform for real-time feedback, improved communication between teachers and supervisors, and increased accountability. This model emphasizes collaborative engagement, comprehensive user training, and equitable access to digital resources. By digitizing performance appraisals, feedback systems, and professional development tools, the platform encourages continuous improvement in teaching quality. Nevertheless, challenges remain, including limited digital literacy among educators, inadequate infrastructure in under-resourced schools, and resistance to shifting from traditional supervision practices. To overcome these barriers, the study advocates for structured implementation supported by training, policy alignment, and inclusive planning. It also recommends a mixed-methods research design and longitudinal evaluation to measure the model's impact on both teacher development and student learning outcomes. Findings from this review are expected to guide policymakers, school leaders, and educational stakeholders in integrating technology into supervision strategies that are sustainable, inclusive, and adaptable to diverse school contexts.

Abstract

The implementation of the entrepreneurship model in education today is something that needs to be considered optimally. Therefore, an understanding is needed related to the implementation of the entrepreneurship model in the world of education. Some entrepreneurship models in education include integrated models in learning, learning through extracurricular activities, habituation of culture and values in all activities and school atmosphere, and Entrepreneurship Subject models. Thus, the implementation of the entrepreneurship model does not always have to be fixated on one model, but can be combined from several entrepreneurship models, which can be named an integrated entrepreneurship model.  With this model, entrepreneurs in the world of education must be able to implement it optimally so that the implementation process can run more effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

This literature review analyzes the impact of government policies on the improvement of teaching staff and educational institutions in developing countries. This study examines the impact of strategic government actions on the quality of education by drawing on a wealth of academic resources. Studies show that effective teacher development requires consistent investment in professional development, cohesive policy frameworks, and institutional capacity building. Additionally, utilizing technology and adhering to international educational standards is becoming increasingly important. However, these things must be carefully adjusted to fit the local school to be effective. The review emphasizes that context-sensitive, inclusive, and equitable policy approaches are more effective in addressing the specific problems facing education systems in developing countries. This assessment uses a qualitative method. It also reveals that the implementation of current policies has shortcomings, including the need for an equitable distribution of resources and significant stakeholder involvement. These findings underscore the importance of developing educational strategies that align with global trends by focusing on addressing local contexts and needs. This review supports adaptive and collaborative governance models to facilitate the development of teaching capacity and sustainable institutional development in the evolving educational context.

Abstract

The implementation of tracer studies is a strategic instrument in ensuring the quality of vocational education. However, the reality on the ground shows that many institutions, including SMKN 3 Gowa, still face serious obstacles such as low alumni participation, difficulty accessing graduate contact data, and the suboptimal use of tracer study results as a basis for curriculum evaluation. This study aims to describe how tracer studies are managed at SMKN 3 Gowa and identify the inhibiting factors that affect their effectiveness. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study involved the principal, the head of the Special Job Fair (BKK), and alumni as primary data sources through interviews, observation, and documentation techniques. While secondary data were obtained from school documents and the treservokasi.kemendikbud.go.id application. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that tracer study management at SMKN 3 Gowa has been carried out in a structured manner with the support of digital technology, but is still hampered by limited human resources, low alumni participation, and minimal use of data as a basis for strategic policies. This study concludes that although there is a strong commitment to implementing tracer studies, optimizing tracer study management at SMKN 3 Gowa requires strengthening communication strategies, updating alumni databases, and increasing human resource capacity so that it can function optimally as an instrument for evaluating the quality of vocational education.

Abstract

Parental involvement in school activities is a strategic element in building synergy between schools and families to support holistic child growth and development, especially in an integrated Islamic school environment that integrates academic and spiritual values. This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of community involvement, especially parental involvement, in school activities at Al-Fatih Integrated Islamic Elementary School, Makassar. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were obtained through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation, which were analyzed thematically with the help of software. The results of the study identified two main forms of parental involvement: internal activities, such as Parent Meetings, report card receptions, and the Ramadan Festival, which demonstrate direct and intensive interaction between the school and parents; and external activities, such as Al-Fatih Quran Family and Matapena, which demonstrate the school's efforts to expand the role of parents in supporting character formation and strengthening religious values outside the school environment. These findings indicate that parental involvement at Al-Fatih Integrated Islamic Elementary School, Makassar, is not only administrative, but also substantive and structured, in line with the principles of integrated Islamic education. This research provides theoretical and practical contributions in enriching the discourse on school and parent partnerships, and offers a model of parent involvement that can be adopted by other integrated Islamic schools to improve the quality of education comprehensively.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the need for the development of a school principal's academic supervision model as an effort to improve the quality of learning through teacher coaching. The background of this research is based on the phenomenon that the implementation of academic supervision in schools still faces various obstacles, such as limited suitability with teachers' needs, lack of openness, lack of feedback, and approaches that are not fully relevant to teacher characteristics. This study uses a descriptive approach by combining quantitative and qualitative analysis. The subjects of the study were teachers and principals who were selected using the purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation studies, then analyzed using descriptive statistics for quantitative data and thematic analysis for qualitative data. The results of the study show that most teachers consider that the academic supervision carried out by school principals is still not in accordance with the real needs in the field. In terms of openness and transparency, more than half of the respondents assessed that supervision had not been fully implemented openly. In terms of feedback, even though some teachers have received constructive input, there are still teachers who feel that they are lacking or do not get feedback after supervision. Other findings show that the supervision approach that teachers are most interested in is based on local wisdom, followed by peer approaches and the use of technology. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the need to develop a more adaptive, participatory, and needs-based academic supervision model.

Abstract

Social entrepreneurship has emerged as a strategic approach in education to address various social issues while fostering social awareness and responsibility among students. This study aims to analyze the role of social entrepreneurship in education as an effective learning tool to cultivate pro-social attitudes through a comprehensive theoretical approach. Drawing on Social Learning Theory and Experiential Learning, this paper examines how the integration of social entrepreneurship into educational curricula can develop critical awareness of social issues and encourage responsible actions among learners (Bandura, 1977; Kolb, 1984). The findings indicate that the implementation of social entrepreneurship in education not only equips students with entrepreneurial skills but also reinforces ethical values and social responsibility, contributing to character development in the younger generation. This is supported by literature showing increased social awareness and altruistic behavior resulting from participation in social entrepreneurship projects (Hockerts, 2018; Tracey & Phillips, 2007). Therefore, integrating social entrepreneurship into education holds significant potential to not only produce successful entrepreneurs but also leaders committed to creating positive social impact. This study recommends the development of a more holistic and collaborative curriculum to ensure that social entrepreneurship becomes an integral part of higher education.

Abstract

The development of modern education requires schools not only to focus on academic achievement but also on character formation, creativity, and entrepreneurial skills of students. In this context, the optimization of human resources (HR) becomes a strategic aspect in creating a productive entrepreneurial environment in schools. This study aims to analyze the role of HR in supporting entrepreneurship, identify factors influencing optimization, and formulate appropriate development strategies. The research method employs a literature review by examining previous studies and relevant literature on the contribution of principals, teachers, administrative staff, and educational policies in strengthening school-based entrepreneurship. The findings indicate that HR plays a vital role through visionary leadership, practice-based learning, efficient administrative management, and both internal and external collaboration. The optimization process is influenced by competence, continuous training, leadership support, facilities, motivation, and government policies such as the Merdeka Curriculum. Recommended strategies include capacity building through training, integrating entrepreneurial values across subjects, forming school entrepreneurship teams, developing partnerships with businesses, and utilizing digital technology for learning and marketing. This study concludes that well-managed and sustainable HR development can foster an innovative and productive school entrepreneurship ecosystem. The implication is that schools need to build a systematic entrepreneurial culture so that students are equipped not only with academic knowledge but also with entrepreneurial mindsets that are independent, creative, and competitive in facing global challenges.
