Abstract

This research examines the creation of augmented reality-based educational media for physics that incorporates Islamic principles, primarily aimed at teaching atomic structure. The study sought to ascertain the appropriateness of augmented reality (AR) media in improving students' comprehension of atomic structure while simultaneously imparting Islamic precepts. This study utilizes the Research and Development (R&D) methodology, consistent with the ADDIE paradigm (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). Data was acquired by administering a questionnaire to specialists in media, materials, and Islamic religion to assess the viability of the learning medium. The questionnaire addressed three primary aspects: media design, content relevance, and the incorporation of Islamic principles. This research employs descriptive quantitative and qualitative analysis approaches. The study concentrated on evaluating the development of AR media, its practicality, and the congruence of the content with Islamic beliefs. The findings of this study demonstrate that the AR-based learning medium is exceptionally appropriate for physics instruction. The media validation achieved a score of 86%, the material validation received 88%, and the integration of Islamic principles attained 85%, indicating the medium's efficacy and suitability. This augmented reality educational medium facilitates the cognitive and ethical maturation of students, underscoring its advantages for attaining both scholarly superiority and moral advancement. Keywords: Augmented reality, Islamic values, atomic structure, learning media, ADDIE modelDOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpf.v12.n2.202406

Abstract

Physics is widely regarded as one of the most challenging subjects for students due to its abstract concepts and unengaging teaching methods, often resulting in low motivation and poor achievement. To address these challenges, this study systematically examines the impact of Augmented Reality (AR) on enhancing student motivation and learning outcomes in physics education, analyzing 20 articles published between 2019 and 2024 through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, guided by the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) protocol. The findings reveal AR's significant potential to transform physics education by visualizing abstract concepts and creating interactive, engaging learning experiences, addressing limitations in traditional methods. However, barriers such as high device costs, limited infrastructure in underdeveloped areas, inadequate teacher expertise, and a lack of diverse AR content hinder its widespread adoption. Long-term research is recommended to evaluate the sustained impact of AR on learning outcomes and motivation across different educational levels and contexts. By addressing these challenges, AR has the potential to become a transformative tool, making physics education more inclusive, engaging, and impactful while fostering a deeper understanding of complex concepts and improving student motivation and achievement. Keywords: Augmented reality, learning motivation, learning outcomes, physics learning, systematic review.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpf.v12.n2.202405

Abstract

Climate change driven by rising air temperature and humidity significantly impacts agricultural ecosystems' rainfall patterns and chemical and biochemical processes. This study aims to analyze the relationship between temperature, air humidity, and rainfall and their effects on chemical and biochemical transformations in agricultural and environmental systems in Lampung. This research employs a descriptive quantitative and qualitative approach. Primary data were collected through field observations, soil chemical testing, and public health surveys. Secondary data regarding temperature, humidity, and rainfall were obtained from BMKG. Surveys were conducted using structured questionnaires with purposive sampling techniques targeting affected communities. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and linear regression to examine relationships between variables, while chemical analysis measured changes in pH, nutrients, and greenhouse gas emissions. Data processing was performed using SPSS and Excel, and triangulation was conducted to ensure accuracy. The findings indicate that increases in temperature and humidity correlate with a 15% rise in annual rainfall over the last decade. The primary observed effects include increased soil acidity (pH decrease by 0.5-1.0 units), a nitrogen level reduction of up to 20%, and increased greenhouse gas emissions such as CH4 and CO2. Additionally, higher rainfall contributes to increased soil erosion and water pollution. In the health sector, surveys indicate a rise in waterborne diseases (diarrhea, cholera) and respiratory disorders. In conclusion, changes in temperature and humidity have complex effects on agriculture, the environment, and public health, necessitating adaptation and mitigation strategies to reduce their negative impacts.

Abstract

The purpose of this research endeavor is to evaluate the feasibility of comic-based educational media grounded in an Islamic nuanced constructivist framework, employing Canva applications for the instruction of solar system content. The study was carried out in accordance with Thiagarajan's 4D model, engaging seventh-grade students from SMP/MTs. Data were gathered from the feedback of both students and educators, in conjunction with validation from subject matter specialists, media professionals, and religious authorities. The outcomes of the investigation reveal that the material validation from experts achieved a score of 91%, media experts assigned a score of 86%, while religious authorities contributed a score of 82%. These findings signify a commendable degree of validation. In summary, drawing upon the assessments from experts and the affirmative feedback from educators and students, it can be inferred that the comic-based learning media, rooted in an Islamic constructivist paradigm utilizing Canva applications, serves as an efficacious and stimulating educational instrument for imparting knowledge regarding solar system concepts.

Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the impact of the green campus program at higher education institutions on students' environmentally friendly behavior and its contribution to sustainable development on campus and in surrounding communities. The green campus initiative addresses global environmental concerns by promoting responsible policies and behaviors. A quantitative approach was used, with data analysis conducted using Orange Data Mining software. The sample comprised 500 respondents from various study programs at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, including environmental ambassador students at the State Islamic University of Raden Intan Lampung. Results showed positive perceptions of waste management facilities (mean = 4.04; SD = 0.9) and environmentally friendly transportation (mean = 3.68; SD = 1.03). However, pro-environmental behavior remained uneven, influenced by personal and institutional factors. The study recommends enhancing environmental education and support facilities to improve the program’s effectiveness. These findings offer strategic insights for other institutions implementing green campus initiatives.
