Abstract

Tulungagung Regency’s Locally Generated Revenue (PAD) remains concentrated in three main types of taxes, while levies contribute less than optimally. This study aims to analyze the potential and performance of regional taxes and levies as instruments of fiscal independence in Tulungagung Regency using overlay analysis. The analysis shows that several taxes with low contributions have experienced significant growth, indicating policy space for expanding the revenue base. This finding implies that the overlay analysis approach can guide the determination of more precise and contextual fiscal strategies, as well as contribute to the development of a regional fiscal evaluation framework and the design of an adaptive fiscal system in the era of fiscal decentralization.

Abstract

In developing MSMEs, the government, community, and educational institutions can provide support, especially in terms of providing branding training. Research shows that branding can increase the competitiveness of MSMEs, and factors such as product quality, price, and promotion influence it. Therefore, this activity aims to provide 'branding' assistance for Micro Food and Beverage Business Actors (MSMEs) in Grati District, Pasuruan Regency. This is done to support the increase in women's empowerment in managing MSMEs in the area by involving Fatayat NU Grati District as a partner. This community service activity began with identifying partner problems (Fatayat NU Grati District) by dividing them into groups accompanied by the FEB UB Community Service team. The community service results revealed that partners' primary issue was a lack of understanding about product branding procedures, which led to less attractive product labeling, limited word-of-mouth marketing, and limited funding.

Abstract

Waste is a critical problem that needs to be resolved immediately. Based on its source, the largest waste generation in Malang City comes from the domestic sector. So that there needs to be an effort to resolve this by involving the household sector. The purpose of this study was to calculate the level of waste reduction at the location of the climate village program (Proklim) in Community Association (RW) 07 Lesanpuro Village, Malang City. The research method used is the quantitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques through field measurements, observations, and interviews. Data analysis techniques using the calculation formula of waste generation waste composition, waste density, and waste reduction. Total waste reduction was calculated by mass balance analysis. The results showed that average amount of waste generation was 0.388 people/day (kg). The average density of waste is 152.38 kg/m3. The composition of waste is dominated by organic waste, which is 71.63%. The total reduction rate is 20.51% (organic waste is 16.03%, inorganic waste is 4.48%). This amount is not yet by the Jakstranas target of 30% by 2025, although the research location is included in the Proklim category so it is required to optimize waste management by the community.

The purpose of this study is to assess the sustainability status of each type of urban agriculture. A quantitative approach, using the multidimentional scaling method and RAPHYTON tools was used to analyze the data. Primary data were collected from expert informant interviews, supporting informants, field surveys and observations. The results of the analysis showed that the sustainability level of urban agriculture various types in Malang City is generally in the moderately sustainable category. The ecological dimension of irrigated agricultural land is categorized as unsustainable. Conversely, the highest sustainability status (categorized as sustainable) is achieved by agro-educational tourism type agriculture in the social dimension. This research also suggests attributes that leverage the sustainability status of each dimension. One of them is the application of integrated agriculture to achieve ecological sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to measure systemic risk in conventional commercial banks in Indonesia with the Conditional Value at Risk (CoVaR) model developed by Adrian and Brunnermeier (2009). The financial crises of 1998 and 2008 have become valuable lessons for Indonesian banks to always maintain financial system stability because the impact caused by systemic risks is very large. Systemic risk is the possibility of instability due to contagion in some or all of the financial system. This study uses a sample of 6 conventional commercial banks in Indonesia from January 2012 to December 2018. The results obtained from this study is the systemic risk is not related to the size of banks. Each bank has a negative externality so that it can cause a bank rush and systemic impact.
