Abstract

Background: Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) is a respiratory disease caused by corona virus. Smokers are the most vulnerable group form Covid-1. Dirty hands can spread disease by providing entry to pathogens, bacteria, or viruses. Handwashing could be effective and efficient prevention to prevent covid-19 infection.Objective: To determine the relationship between gender and smoking habits, handwashing and nutritional behavior among respondents.Methods: A descriptive-analytic study with a cross-sectional design. Respondents were 966 people who lived in Bengkulu Province. Data collection was carried out by online questionnaire which were distributed through WhatsApp media. Data analysis used the chi-square test.Results: There were significant relationship between gender and smoking habits (p = 0.003), gender and handwashing (p = 0.000), gender and nutritional behavior related with fresh food consumptions (p = 0.026). There were no relationship between gender and nutritional behavior related to preserved/instant foods consumption (p = 0.463), nutritional behavior and fruit-vegetable consumption habits (p = 0.090).Conclusion: There is a relationship between gender and smoking and handwashing habits.

Abstract

Perubahan pola hidup menyebabkan pola penyakit berubah, dari penyakit infeksi dan rawan gizi ke penyakit-penyakit  degeneratif, diantaranya adalah penyakit jantung dan pembuluh darah (kardiovaskuler) dan akibat kematian yang ditimbulkannya. Penyakit jantung merupakan penyebab kematian nomor satu di dunia. Penyakit jantung adalah penyakit yang mengganggu sistem pembuluh darah atau lebih tepatnya menyerang jantung dan urat-urat darah. Penyakit kardiovaskuler (PKV) mempunyai hubungan yang erat dengan zat gizi dan makanan. Hipotesis “makanan-jantung“ atau diet-heart hypothesis menerangkan bahwa adanya hubungan antara makanan dengan penyakit jantung. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan rasio kadar kolesterol total/HDL. Desain penelitian ini adalah potong lintang/cross sectional dengan variabel independen (asupan energi, asupan lemak jenuh, lemak tak jenuh, kolesterol dan serat) dan variabel dependen (rasio kadar kolesterol total/HDL). Jumlah populasi 760 dan sampel sebanyak 45 responden. Sampel penelitian diambil secara accidental sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang bermakna antara asupan energi, lemak jenuh, lemak tak jenuh dan kolesterol dengan rasio kadar kolesterol total/HDL. Tidak ada hubungan yang bermakna antar asupan serat dengan rasio kadar kolesterol total/HDL. Faktor yang paling berhubungan adalah asupan lemak jenuh.

Abstract

Stunting merupakan masalah gizi kronis yang berdampak jangka panjang terhadap kualitas sumber daya manusia. Di Indonesia, prevalensi  stunting pada balita masih tinggi, termasuk di Provinsi Bengkulu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristik kejadian stunting pada balita suku Serawai di Kabupaten Seluma Provinsi Bengkulu.. Pnelitian enggunakan pendekatan deskriptif analitik kuanlitatif dengan desain cross-sectional. Sampel  penelitian melibatkan 65 ibu balita sebagai responden yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan observasi buku KMS, lalu dianalisis secara univariat dan bivariate  dengan uji Chi-Square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa usia balita 24 bulan memiliki risiko lebih tinggi mengalami stunting (OR=1,29), dan balita dari suku Jawa memiliki kemungkinan 2,23 kali lebih besar mengalami stunting dibandingkan balita dari suku Serawai. Meskipun jenis kelamin dan riwayat penyakit menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan, kekuatan hubungan relatif lemah. Pangan lokal, jika dimanfaatkan dengan optimal dan disesuaikan dengan budaya setempat, dapat menjadi pendekatan efektif dalam mencegah dan mengatasi stunting. Oleh karena itu, intervensi  dengan pendekatan budaya dapat dirancang untuk intervensi gizi yang sensitif terhadap konteks budaya masing-masing suku agar lebih mudah diterima masyarakat.Kata Kunci: balita, Bengkulu, karakteristik, stunting, status gizi, suku Serawai

Abstract

The effectiveness of food delivery and service programs can be seen in the patient's leftover food. If excess food is not taken into account and left continuously for a long time, it can impact the patient's nutritional status, which decreases. Malnutrition in patients is closely related to the incidence of food waste in hospitals. This research aims to determine the relationship between the timeliness of serving food, the perception of the atmosphere of the treatment environment, the appearance of food, food from the outside, the taste of food and the attitude of the serving staff with leftover staple foods of ordinary and soft diets. This research used a cross-sectional design carried out in several treatment rooms, namely the Mina room (Class I), Marwah (Class II), and Safa (Class III). The sample in this study was 34 samples. The study's results found a relationship between the appearance of food and food consumption from outside with the remaining staple foods. At the same time, there was no relationship between the timeliness of serving food, the atmosphere of the caring environment, the taste of the food and the attitude of the serving staff with the remaining staple foods. Two variables are related to the six variables studied.

Abstract

Di Indonesia, 25,8% penduduk mengalami hipertensi. Data Dinas Kesehatan Kota Bengkulu pada tahun 2022 hipertensi menjadi penyakit terbanyak dengan jumlah estimasi penderita hipertensi yang berumur ≥ 15 tahun yaitu 36.404 orang, pada tahun 2023 mengalami peningkatan menjadi 50.898. Data WHO pada tahun 2019, prevalensi hipertensi di seluruh dunia mencapai 22% dari total penduduk.  Pada penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan skor healthy eating index, status gizi dengan kejadian hipertensi di wilayah pesisir kota Bengkulu. Pada penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan skor healthy eating index, status gizi dengan kejadian hipertensi di wilayah pesisir kota Bengkulu. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan rancangan penelitian Cross-Sectional dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 87 orang. Skor Indeks Makan Sehat menggunakan formulir FFQ-SQ, mengukur status gizi menggunakan timbangan badan dan microtoise, serta pemeriksaan tekanan darah menggunakan tensiometer. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji chi-square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa skor healthy eating index buruk yaitu 62 orang (71%). Hampir sebagian responden yang berstatus gizi obesitas 1 sebanyak 33 orang (37%).  Berdasarkan uji chi-square yang dilakukan, terdapat hubungan antara skor HEI dengan kejadian hipertensi, dan pada status gizi dengan kejadian hipertensi tidak terdapat hubungan.  Sebagian responden mengalami skor healthy eating index yang kurang baik, dan responden memiliki status gizi tidak normal.Disarankan setiap orang lebih menjaga pola makan yang sesuai dengan yang dianjurkan, serta lebih memperhatikan jenis dan jumlah makanan yang dikonsumsi. Hal ini dilakukan agar dapat menghindari terjadinya obesitas dan kenaikan tekanan darah.Kata Kunci: kejadian hipertensi, skor healthy eating index, status gizi

Abstract

Gizi Seimbang adalah susunan pangan sehari-hari yang mengandung zat gizi dalam jenis dan jumlah yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan tubuh. Menurut Achadi, dkk (2010) anak-anak belum memahami konsep gizi seimbang, akan tetapi anak-anak masih terpaku pada empat sehat lima sempurna. Tujuan Penelitian untuk diketahui pengaruh edukasi gizi seimbang dengan permainan kartu bergambar dan permainan puzzle terhadap pengetahuan anak di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 2 kota Bengkulu Tahun 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Quasi Eksperiment  dengan rancangan yaitu two group pre-test post-test. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 48 anak. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tehknik purposive sampling yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Sample dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 48 orang yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok dengan pemberian edukasi menggunakan permainan kartu bergambar dan puzzle. Berdasarkan hasil uji paired samples t test menunjukkan ada perbedaan pengaruh yang bermakna antara pengetahuan sanak sebelum dan sesudah diberikan permainan kartu bergambar dan puzzle (P Value = .000). Berdasarkan hasil uji independent samples t test terdapat perbedaan pengaruh yang bermakna antara perubahan nilai pengetahuan siswa yang diberikan permainan kartu bergambar dan permainan puzzle (P Value = .002). Pada kedua permainan ini didapatkan permainan kartu bergambar lebih efektif dibandingkan permainan puzzle dengan selisih nilai rata-rata 34,84. Hal ini dikarenakan pada permainan kartu bergambar kognitif anak bertambah dengan cara membaca, mendengarkan dan melihat gambar yang ada dikartu bergambar. Sedangkan pada permainan puzzle anak hanya menyusun potongan-potongan gambar dengan secepat mungkin. Kata Kunci : Gizi Seimbang, Pengetahuan, Edukasi, Kartu bergambar, Puzzle

Abstract

Background: Nutrition is more commonly known as obesity is a condition where the calories consumed are more than the calories used causing excessive accumulation of fat in the body which can result in health problems. Objective: This study plans to find out information about excess nutrition in adolescents, especially junior high school students, regarding the relationship between eating habits and physical activity with the incidence of overweight Methods: The population in this study were class 7 and 8 with a total sample of 62 people with a cross sectional study design. Data analysis used bivariate analysis using the Chi Square tes.t. Results: there are more unhealthy eating habits than good habits, while for very light physical activity there are more than light activities. Conclusion: There is a relationship between eating habits and physical activity with the incidence of overweight in junior high school adolescents. Poor eating habits and very little physical activity can potentially lead to over nutrition.

Abstract

Background: Research data from Harapan and Doa Hospital in 2019 showed that the remaining vegetable protein increased to 27.61% and vegetables 56%. This rate still exceeds the minimum hospital service rate for food waste, which is ≤ 20%. Purpose of the study was to examine external factors that affect the remaining plant and vegetablefood in the diet of ordinary and soft foods as well as an overview of external factors at Harapan and Doa Hospital, Bengkulu City. Method: Cross sectional design with the type of analytic survey research used in this study with a sample of 34 respondents. Results: In the remaining vegetable side dishes, timeliness of feeding with a p-value of 0.648, food taste (0.182) and the attitude of the serving staff (0.487) which means that H0 failed to be rejected (> 0.05). For leftover vegetable food, the timeliness of feeding with a p-value of 0.647, the atmosphere of the caring environment (0.541) and the attitude of the serving staff (1.000) which means that H0 failed to be rejected (> 0.05). Conclusion: There is a relationship between the appearance of food and the consumption of food from the outsidewith vegetable and vegetable side dishes.es.
