Abstract

E gamelan merupakan sebuah aplikasi untuk pembelajaran interaktif pada materi pelajaran musik tradisional. E gamelan digunakan untuk melatih sofegio peserta didik dalam mempelajari nada. Solfegio sangat penting sebagai pembeda nada untuk memberikan kontribusi terhadap nada pentatonis. Bila memiliki sofegio yang tinggi maka mampu memberikan perbedaan nada pada gamelan. E gamelan bisa memberikan kontribusi terhadap nada yang dibunyikan. Ketrampilan dalam melakukan pembeda nada pada media E gamelan pendengaran akan masuk ke dalam sensorik otak menyimpan pembeda nada pentatonik. Sehingga kemampuan mengingat lebih tinggi sebagai pijakan awal untuk skil keterampilan menabuh gamelan. Ketika terampil pada media E gamelan mampu membunyikan nada nada pentatonik sesuai dengan melodi nada yang telah ditentukan untuk diaplikasikan ke dalam instrumen gamelan. Hal ini juga memberikan kemudahan dalam menunjang siswa belajar karawitan 90% trampil dalam E gamelan mampu melakukan praktik ke dalam instrumen gamelan. Bagi siswa yang masih 50% dalam E gamelan mereka mampu melakukan praktik di gamelan hanya mencapai 40 %. Hal ini berdasarkan data pengambilan penilaian terhadap siswa yang menggunakan E gamelan. Melalui tes diaknosis rata rata siswa tidak pernah mendengar nada nada pentatonik dalam gamelan. Setelah menggunakan E gamelan mereka mampu mengaplikasikan kedalam instrumen hasil dari penilaian praktik instrumen gamelan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menemukan kajian etnomusikologi pada alat musik thungka, karena peneliti ingin mengetahui segala sesuatu yang terdapat dalam alat musik thangka, baik itu berupa aspek fungsi, musikal, instrumental dan sosial budaya musik tradisional thungka. Dalam penelitian ini metode yang digunakan yaitu metode kualitatif. Fungsi musik Thungka pada dasarnya sebagai alat untuk penumbuk padi dalam acara musim panen disetiap tahun akan tetapi sekarang menjadi sebagai media pertunjukan seni tradisional, acara pernikahan sampai keacara penyambutan tamu turis ke Bawean. Alat musik Thungka ini merupakan alat musik tradisional yang tergolong bertangga nada tetratonik yaitu memiliki empat tangganada. Thungka, bahan dasarnya dari ronjengan sampai Alu’ terdiri dari kayu berjenis Jati. Lirik yang dimainkan dalam pertunjukan Thungka memaparkan tentang kehidupan masyarakat Bawean. Kata kunci: Etnomusikolgi, Musik Thungka, Bawean Study of "Thungka" music performance in Bawean Gresik community(An ethnomusicology review) AbstractThis study found an ethnomusicological study on the thungka musical instrument, because the researcher wanted to know everything contained in the thangka musical instrument, whether it was in the form of functional, musical, instrumental and socio-cultural aspects of thungka traditional music. In this study the method used is a qualitative method. The function of Thungka music is basically as a tool for pounding rice in the harvest season every year but now it has become a medium for traditional art performances, weddings to welcoming tourist guests to Bawean. This Thungka musical instrument is a traditional musical instrument that is classified as a tetratonic scale, which has four scales. Thungka, the basic ingredients from ronjengan to pestle are teak wood. The lyrics played in the Thungka show describe the life of the Bawean people.Keywords: Ethnomusicology, Thungka Music, Bawean

Abstract

This study explores the effectiveness of creative learning based on children's song models in developing children's character. Using a literature review approach, this research analyzes the literature on creative learning and character development in children. Findings from the literature review indicate that creative learning based on children's song models has great potential in shaping positive character traits in children. Through this model, children can actively engage in enjoyable learning experiences while internalizing character values embedded in song lyrics. The use of music in learning also enhances children's motivation, creativity, and communication skills. This research makes a significant contribution to understanding and developing innovative teaching methods for children's character development. The importance of fostering good character in children is widely recognized, and this approach based on children's song models offers an effective strategy to achieve this goal. By integrating music and creativity into the learning process, it is hoped that the younger generation can become intellectually sharp and possess positive personalities in their daily lives.

Abstract

Education is now starting to adapt technology in learning. Educators must begin to improve to develop themselves in creating meaningful and enjoyable learning. Like Mrs. Dra. Sugiati as a teacher at SDK Indriasana IV Surabaya who utilizes technology in learning by utilizing digital media Chrome Music Lab in music arts lessons especially to introduce students to basic musical elements consisting of tone, rhythm and harmony. The purpose of this research is to find out how the subjects teach music art and how it impacts students when using this media. Research methods with a qualitative approach to reveal objects naturally and deeply. The results of this study are that Chrome Music Lab's digital media has various features that students can use as fun media in getting to know musical elements, including; Shared Piano, Rhythm, and chords features. Learning is carried out through three stages, namely opening, core, and closing. At the opening, educators motivate students to enter into learning. At the core is learning with the media. At the end, reflection and singing are performed. Responses from students, they were very happy and interested in following the lesson carefully. Students can get to know the elements of music shown through their singing and clapping according to the tone and rhythm with the teacher.

Abstract

Kasus transformasi seni pertunjukan di Bali, pada saat ini tidak lagi menarik bagi seniman. Karena karya-karya mereka setelah munculnya jenis kegebyaran. Karya tari Bali lebih mengacu pada penampilan yang bersifat metropolis, modis, dan glamor. Hal ini merupakan kasus, yang hadirnya tidak disadari banyak peneliti. Karena banyak yang menaruh perhatian pada tampilan yang mampu membuat penonton menjadi terangkat prestisenya menjadi warga dunia, contohnya adalah penampilan hiburan tari pada makan malam G20 pada bulan November 2022. Karya tari yang masih tampak sebagai hasil transformasi dari ritual ke seni pertunjukan adalah kecak Ramayana. Penelusuran kasus transformasi ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, dengan fokus pada wawancara mendalam, dan observasi secara langsung pada pertunjukan di Pura Uluwatu, selain dari pada itu membuat dokumentasi untuk memberikan penguatan dari data-data yang lain. Analisis data menggunakan teori Victor Turner; Rite de Passage, dan didasarkan pada tekstual dan kontestual. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa transformasi ritual ke seni pertunjukan Kecak Ramayana sebagai simbol kekuatan dan kekokohan dari capaian pengalaman pengalaman sosial komunitas Sekaa Karang Boma di Uluwatu sebagai bentuk kekuatan kebersamaan yang mencapai pada kekokohan sosial.

Abstract

The Pencak Silat and Bantengan Garuda Jaya Association in Lumbangrejo Village, Prigen District, Pasuruan Regency, was established on October 1, 1982, specializing in Bantengan arts. This study aims to explore the history and current existence of this community using a descriptive qualitative approach, guided by James R. Brandon's theory of artistic life. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using triangulation techniques. The findings indicate that the association's existence is sustained by internal factors such as the artists, artistic quality, and management, as well as external factors like support from government institutions and socio-economic conditions. The study concludes that the association has adapted its performance structures to modern times, ensuring its continued relevance. Future efforts should focus on engaging the younger generation in learning and appreciating these traditional arts to preserve them for future generations.

Abstract

Art Performance (Pegas) is an annual school activity and a school flagship activity carried out by class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Pamekasan. The purpose of this research is to describe the management of art performance (pegas) which consists of production management and artistic management and to find out the results of management on art performance (pegas). This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach, data collection using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis through several stages such as data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity uses source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results showed that the management of art performances (pegas) managed by class X students consisted of production management and artistic management by applying management functions, namely planning, organizing, mobilizing, and supervising. The results of the art performance management (pegas) can be seen in the success of the implementation of the art performance (pegas) such as the continuity of the event, the presentation of the work, the audience who attended, and funding or sponsorship. The implementation of the art performance (pegas) was carried out well with the existence of management and the application of management functions so that the art performance (pegas) became effective and efficient.

Abstract

Building creative industry is one the effort chose to keep up with the ongoing of era development. Traditional art is one of the resource to produce creative art products. Gate Duwur Mask Puppet is a mask performance in Jombang Regency East Java that contains local wisdom. The local wisdom was one of the creativity sources to develop creative art products in Jombang Regency because maintaining Jati Duwur Mask Puppet performance was hard in the middle of the fast society development. The transformation of the source culture (mask puppet) to become the current target culture is one of the efforts made to build creative art. The research on mask dance conservation on mask puppet performance in Jombang was needed. The research method used was an art development through conservation. There were three products of mask dance created as a result of this research. The dances were Gladhen dancers – a couple dance, Mbanmban mask dance – a theatrical group dance, Maduretno-citralanggenan dance – a dance fragment. These mask dance products were a creative realization of a mask performance originated from mask puppet. The community and mask, puppet performer agreed to the development of mask dance to become a more creative art product that could be enjoyed by the young generation.

Abstract

Traditional dance training activities for Thai students specifically aim to introduce Indonesian arts and culture on the international stage. This activity is motivated by the important role of relations between universities and society, especially people abroad. PKM which uses traditional dance as an object of training material has an important role as an effort to preserve traditional or local culture, respect traditional values, and develop local cultural potential, especially in traditional arts. The dance training which was attended by 12 (twelve) universities in Thailand with 166 training participants was held at the Bangkok Indonesian School Sports Building in Thailand. The aim of traditional dance training is to introduce Indonesian culture to Thai students. Traditional dance training methods use demonstration and practice methods.

Abstract

LKSA Bismar Al-Mustaqim Orphanage implements a curriculum based on the salaf pesantren education system to build the foundation of faith and character of foster children. The curriculum consists of three levels according to age and the level of complexity of learning: basic for teaching the Qur'an, intermediate for the introduction of Arabic and yellow book studies in bandongan, and advanced for individual deepening of knowledge through the sorogan method. In addition to religious-based education, the orphanage also applies semi-authoritarian and democratic parenting using exemplary methods, habituation, dialogue, and counseling guidance. Despite facing internal obstacles such as caregiver fatigue, the diversity of children's characters, and external challenges in the form of economic dependence on donors, the orphanage still shows a significant positive impact. This can be seen from the various awards achieved, reflecting the orphanage's commitment in producing a generation with character and virtue
