Abstract

Abstract: Kanji is one of the four characters used by Japanese people. Bushu is a form element that represents the basic meaning of a kanji. Understanding of bushu is necessary to understand a kanji. This study aimed to describes the meaning and the semantic change of te-hen Bushu. This research is limited to kanji characters containing te-hen bushu in Jouyou Kanji (daily use of kanji). The method used in this study is a qualitative method. Kanji dictionary and the book of the origin of kanji is used to find semantic change of te-hen bushu. The results of the analysis of the kanji which have bushu te-hen was found that there was an semantic change from concrete to abstract, semantic change of a specific meaning to a general, specific of a general meaning to a specific, and semantic change in a positive direction.Key Words: Kanji, Bushu, Te-Hen, Semantic Change

Abstract

Abstract: Kanji is a means of communication in Japanese society in writing. Inside the kanji there are elements that represent the basic meaning called bushu. Therefore, an understanding of bushu is necessary to understand the kanji. This study aims to describe the changes in the meaning of bushu kanji, namely hi hen and renga found in Jouyou Kanji (daily use of kanji). The method used in this study is a qualitative method. Kanji dictionaries and books on the formation of the origin of kanji are used to look for changes in meaning in bushu hi hen and renga. The results of the analysis of this study found a change in meaning from concrete to abstract, general to specific and some kanji are difficult to find changes.Key Word : Kanji, Bushu, Hi Hen, Renga, Semantic Change

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to find out the usage of first deiksis persona, second deiksis persona, and third deiksis persona in the questions of choukai JLPT N3. The method used was descriptive qualitative, while for data collection technique used waslistening and note-taking techniques. The analysis of deiksis persona form used pragmatics theory of deiksis persona by Levinson (1983). The results of this research show that in the questions of choukai JLPT N3 found three types of deiksis persona on pronomina persona with each type of deiksis persona is divided into two forms namely singular and plural. The first deiksis persona is singular and plural, the second deiksis persona is singular, and the third deiksis persona is singular. Abstract

Abstract: Sentence-final particle in Japanese called shuujoshi. This study discusses the Japanese sentence-final particle and its equivalent in Indonesian. The particle particles as object to discuss in this study, namely zo. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. A data in this study is collected from reading the conversational dialogues in manga. The results is founding the sentences in manga are indicated using that particles, then has a function called dialogical and non-dialogical. The next of the results, the sentence using zo has an equivalent and non equivalent in Indonesian.Key Words: Sentence-final particle equivalent, Manga, Particle zo

Abstract

Abstract: Positive character portraits of the main character of the film Kaasan Ore Wa Daijoubu can help learners, especially Japanese language students, regarding the positive character potraits contained in the film Kaasan Ore Wa Daijoubu. Both in understanding the meaning and the right types of positive characters so that they can be realized in everyday life. The purpose of this study is to describe and explain what positive characters and in what situations the potential for positive characters appears in the main characters in the film. The method used is to use the observation technique and note-taking technique. The results of data analysis show that there are seven positive character potraits of the main character in the film Kaasan ore wa daijoubu based on bushido values. Bushido used to be a moral principle possessed by Japanese knights and is now a closely related character value for Japanese society.Key Words: Positive characters, film as a medium of learning, bushido.

Abstract

Abstract: Twitter is one of the largest social media services in the world. The research are purposes to analyzing the formation of wakamono kotoba on social media Twitter with the aim of knowing the types of word formation used. This researchment used Tsujimura's theory of word formation, which is divided into 5 types. The data was analyzed for collecting the secondary, this is because to describe how to do formatting the words. In this research founded that the formation of a wakamono kotoba is not limited to only one type of word formation, but can go through two to three different types of word formation. In this research are found the most frequent tend of word formation in the clipping type.Key Words: Wakamono Kotoba, Social Media, Word Formation

Abstract

Abstract: This research is a study of the analysis of student errors on the form and use of ~houga ii and ~tara ii suggestions for students of class 2019 Japanese Language Education Study Program, FKIP, Riau University. The purpose of this study was to analyze student errors and to find out the factors causing student errors in the form and use suggestions of ~houga ii and ~tara ii in Japanese sentences. In this study, a quantitative descriptive method was used using a test instrument consisting of word form indicators and usage and meaning indicators to find out errors and factors causing student errors. Based on the results of tests that have been carried out on 30 students, the average score is 50.36 which is grouped less, while the percentage of student errors as a whole is 49.22%. Of the 30 students, there were 18 students who were in the category of scores below sufficient, this shows that there are still many students who do not understand the statements from the suggestions of ~houga ii and ~tara ii in Japanese sentences. Then, when viewed from the indicators of the questions tested, students are more likely to make mistakes on the word form indicators compared to indicators of use and meaning.Key Words: Error Analysis, ~Houga ii, ~Tara ii.

Abstract

Abstract: This study discussed the equivalent of the final particle yo in Japanese as a function to make listeners aware of things that are not known by listeners in Riau Malay dialect Rantau Kuantan in Pulau Banjar Kari Village. The purpose of this study was to determine the equivalent of the final particle yo in Japanese in Riau Malay dialect of Rantau Kuantan in Pulau Banjar Kari Village. The method that used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data was obtained from an original informant from Pulau Banjar Kari Village who did a role play in Riau Malay dialect Rantau Kuantan according to a simple Japanese conversation with the final particle yo which has been translated into Indonesian. The result of this research is that there are 4 variations of endings from 2 different conversational situations that appear in Riau Malay dialect of Rantau Kutan in Pulau Banjar Kari Village. Of the four variations of the suffix the most dominant used by the informants was the suffix ha as many as 5 informants. The suffix ha according to the informant is the suffix that is most often used when trying to tell or alert someone to something that the listener is not aware of.Keywords: equivalent, shuujoshi yo, Riau Malay dialect Rantau Kuantan, Pulau Banjar Kari Village

Abstract

Abstract: This study discusses the forms and meanings of metaphors contained in the Japanese song lyrics in Kenshi Yonezu's album "Stray Sheep". This study aims to identify the form of metaphors and analyze the meaning in the lyrics of the song by Kenshi Yonezu on the album "Stray Sheep". The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The source of the data in this research is the lyrics of Japanese songs by Kenshi Yonezu. The data found in this study is conceptual metaphor and ontological metaphor. The results of this study are 14 data and analysis of meaning related to the type of metaphors. In this study, the least data found is the type of ontological mataphor, this is indicated by 6 data found in the results of this study. While the most commonly found is the type of conceptual metaphor marked by the presence of 8 data found in the results of this study.Key Words: Metaphors, Kenshi Yonezu

Abstract

Abstract: This study discusses the translation 'kandou' in the comic Kimetsu no Yaiba. The method is descriptive qualitative. The purpose of this study is to discuss form, function and meaning, using semantic translation methods and translation procedures based on Newmark's theory. The results indicated that there are forms maa, ou, oo, e, e', hora, nanda, ara, are, aa, a', waa, kya, and gya. Morphologically, the equivalent forms found there are two forms, namely lexical and grammatical. The lexical form is found in the equivalent of ‘apa’ and the grammatical form is found in the equivalent of ‘wah’, ‘oh’, ‘eh’, ‘tuhkan’, ‘apa ini’, ‘apa-apaan’, ‘apa itu’, ‘kok’, ‘waa’, ‘kya’ and ‘gya’ which shows the function and meaning of feeling surprised, amazed, doubtful, convinced, impressed, suspicious, asking for attention, showing something, asking for meaning, angry, sad, afraid and sick.Key Words: Translation, Kandou, Comic.
