Abstract

This study examines the application of performance management in Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Tanjungpinang at KATENG Backyard Coffee. MSMEs have a strategic role in local economic growth, so they still need efforts to improve the implementation of performance management. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the application of performance management in KATENG Backyard Coffee. The research method to be used is descriptive qualitative, using data collection techniques through direct interviews with owners, employees of KATENG Backyard Coffee. The results of the research obtained that in implementing performance management carried out by Kateng Backyard Coffee has provided good results with a flexible approach that provides good results, stability in the team, providing training and development to employees, the existence of SOPs as a benchmark in work, and continuing to innovate in the future.

Abstract

Keamanan dan efektivitas dalam mendeteksi keberadaan musuh di wilayah operasi sangat krusial bagi keberhasilan misi militer. Penelitian ini merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem deteksi musuh berbasis mikrokontroler ESP32 yang terintegrasi dengan sensor mmWave C4001 dan modul komunikasi nirkabel HC-12, sebagai alternatif portabel pengganti pos dengar konvensional di Basis Operasi Depan (BOD). Sistem ini mendeteksi pergerakan manusia secara real-time melalui gelombang mikro berfrekuensi tinggi yang mampu mengenali keberadaan tanpa kontak fisik. Modul HC-12 berfungsi mengirimkan data deteksi secara nirkabel ke pos penerima pada jarak jauh. Metodologi penelitian mencakup perancangan perangkat keras dan perangkat lunak, pengujian fungsi sensor, serta pengukuran jangkauan komunikasi. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu mendeteksi keberadaan manusia hingga 6 meter dengan akurasi tinggi, serta mengirimkan data ke penerima secara stabil hingga 100 meter tanpa halangan, dengan konsumsi daya rendah. Temuan ini memperlihatkan potensi sistem sebagai solusi deteksi otomatis di BOD, dengan arah pengembangan pada integrasi jaringan deteksi berbasis mesh untuk memperluas cakupan area

Abstract

The Role-play method is important to students’ growth in understanding real-life illustrations by pretending as someone else or some scenario. The study aimed to demonstrate whether the Role-play method affects students’ speaking achievement. The research was carried out in the SMP Raden Rahmat Wonokromo for seventh-year students in the academic year 2020/2021, which included 31 students. The data are collected using a few methods, including pre-tests and post-tests. To dissect the quantitative information, an expert used the highest and lowest scores, as well as means and standard deviations. According to the questionnaire results, the role-playing method can improve students’ speaking ability by 11.8%, while the traditional method is only 5.2%. The students are mainly shy to speak English, making them stutter or slower, but they are still enthusiastic about doing some Role-playing. There were differences between the pre-test and the post-test of about 72.5 and 84.3 in the experimental class, respectively. According to the calculation, the ttest is higher than the ttable, 4.304 > 1.697. In other words, the hypothesis alternative (Ha) has been accepted. The role-play practice could effectively show the students’ concern about their English-speaking achievements. It tends to be expressed that showing speaking using Role-play truly impacts students’ English-speaking achievement.

Abstract

Tosari Village, located in the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park area, has great potential for nature and cultural tourism. However, this potential has not been exposed to its full extent due to a lack of digital promotion. On the other hand, the younger generation, especially students, do not yet have adequate skills to lead tourism promotion. This issue is resolved by a community service initiative that aims to increase the younger generation's capacity in Tosari Village. The purpose of this activity is to train students at Baithani Christian Middle and High School in Tosari in creative content creation and public speaking. The methods used include situation analysis, intensive training, direct practice, and mentoring. As a result, students showed significant improvements in their understanding and abilities, ranging from confidence in public speaking to mastery of basic promotional content creation techniques. Tosari Village's reputation as a top travel destination has been enhanced by this program's success in creating a new generation of people who are prepared to lead digital tourism as tourism ambasador.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology today demands the utilization of renewable energy sources, one of which is solar energy. As a sustainable energy source, sunlight has great potential due to its abundant and unlimited availability. Therefore, solar energy can be utilized in Solar Power Generation Systems (PLTS) to meet the electrical needs of various applications. This study discusses the design of a PLTS system as a potential energy source for an electroplating device. The system employs a 100 Wp solar panel and a 12 V 20 Ah battery as an energy storage medium. Based on the test results, the minimum power output was 51 W at an irradiation level of 650 W/m², while the maximum power output reached 107 W at an irradiation level of 804 W/m². Additionally, the heating element in the electroplating system produced a maximum temperature of 63.7 °C. These results indicate that the designed PLTS system is capable of effectively supplying the required energy for the electroplating process. Keywords: Renewable energy, electroplating, solar power
