Abstract

Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) dalam bentuk pelatihan pemanfaatan ponsel cerdas sebagai media eksperimen fisika untuk meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran melalui peningkatan kompetensi guru di Kabupaten Maros dilaksanakan untuk menjawab berbagai permasalahan pendidikan di Kabupaten Maros, terutama rendahnya minat belajar fisika, kecenderungan miskonsepsi siswa, serta keterbatasan sarana laboratorium di sekolah. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi guru fisika melalui pelatihan eksperimen digital berbasis aplikasi Phyphox yang memanfaatkan sensor ponsel cerdas. Pelatihan diikuti oleh 21 guru fisika dan dilaksanakan secara partisipatif melalui sesi teori, demonstrasi, dan praktik langsung. Hasil analisis pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pada pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta dalam memanfaatkan ponsel sebagai media eksperimen. Survei kepuasan mengungkapkan bahwa mayoritas peserta merasa pelatihan sangat relevan, memberdayakan, dan bermanfaat untuk diterapkan di kelas. Program ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru dan membuka peluang pengembangan pembelajaran fisika yang lebih inovatif dengan memanfaatkan teknologi yang mudah diakses. Temuan ini menjadi dasar bagi penyelenggaraan pelatihan lanjutan pada bidang gelombang, optik, dan pembelajaran berbasis proyek.

Abstract

The quality of students' final projects is greatly influenced by their ability to search for and utilize relevant and up-to-date scientific references. Students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Pancasakti University Makassar, although they have received guidance on their final projects, still face difficulties in finding relevant and recent articles. This training activity aims to improve the ability of FKIP students at Pancasakti University Makassar to search for scientific articles as an effort to optimize the quality of their final projects. The methods used include socialization and hands-on practice with instructor guidance. The training materials cover an introduction to scientific databases, effective search strategies, the use of appropriate keywords, as well as reference management techniques using the Mendeley application. The results of the activity indicate an increase in students' understanding and skills in finding and using relevant scientific articles. This training is expected to serve as an initial step in fostering a research-based academic culture within the FKIP Faculty at Universitas Pancasakti Makassar.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the characteristics of the West Monsoon wind based on convergence values at Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport, wind disturbance patterns over the Java Sea, the source and speed of air masses, regional-scale wind disturbances over Indonesia (Tropical Cyclones and Eddies), and wind flow patterns entering the study area under different rainfall categories during the period 2014 – 2023. The research employed a quantitative method by processing rainfall data and daily zonal (u) and meridional (v) wind component data during the peak rainy season (December – February). The analysis was conducted using the GrADS application to display streamline maps, data processing with Excel, and descriptive analysis. The results indicate that for the no-rain to light-rain categories, the characteristics of the West Monsoon wind are not clearly evident, except for wind disturbance patterns over the Java Sea and the speed and consistency of winds from the air-mass source toward the study area. In contrast, for moderate to very heavy or extreme rainfall categories, the characteristics of the West Monsoon wind are clearly observed. These conditions are characterized by air masses originating from the South China Sea, supported by strong and consistent wind speeds passing through the Karimata Strait and the Java Sea to Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport, as well as the presence of wind disturbances in the form of moderate to strong convergence over the Java Sea extending to the Makassar region. Therefore, the study concludes that the no-rain and light-rain categories exhibit nearly similar wind characteristics, while the main differences in the moderate to extreme rainfall categories lie in the consistency of wind speed and the intensity of convergence over the Java Sea.

Abstract

One of the local wisdoms of the Bugis tribe that is still often found in Wajo district is a traditional food that they call Putu Soppa' or Putu Tongka. The objectives of this study were: to describe the profile of a valid local wisdom-based physics supplement book for students of SMAN 5 Wajo; to describe teacher responses to the use of local wisdom-based physics supplement books for students of SMAN 5 Wajo that have been developed; to describe student responses to the use of local wisdom-based physics supplement books for students of SMAN 5 Wajo that have been developed. This study is a development researchs using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). This research was implemented in class XI IPA 2 of SMAN 5 Wajo. Data collection was carried out through observation/interviews, expert assessments, questionnaires and science literacy tests. Then analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate that: the developed teaching materials are declared valid with a reliability level of 0.72; the practicality of teaching materials reviewed from the practitioner's response shows that the developed teaching materials are practical with a percentage of 0.90; the effectiveness of the developed teaching materials is reviewed from the learning outcomes of students obtained through learning outcome tests (science literacy tests). A classical percentage of 80.64% or 25 out of 31 students achieved the learning completion criteria was obtained. So, reviewed from the number of students who achieved completion, the teaching materials are declared effective.

Abstract

This research is a type of Research and Development (R&D) research with a 4D model development method. The 4D stages include: defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. This research and development aim to design and analyze a physics teaching module based on Problem Based Learning that is valid, practical, and effective and can improve students' argumentation skills. The number of validators who provided an assessment of the validity of the module content was 3 validators, the number of teachers who provided an assessment of practicality was 10 physics teachers, and the physics teaching module based on Problem Based Learning that had been developed was tested on 36 students of class X.9 of SMA Negeri 2 Makassar. The instruments used in this study included validation of the open physics module, teacher response questionnaires, and validated argumentation ability tests. The results of the study indicate that the physics teaching module based on Problem Based Learning is in the valid category with an average Aiken's V value of 0.79, practicality with a percentage of teacher responses of 89% is in the very practical category, and effectiveness with an average N-Gain of 0.62 is in the moderate category. Based on these results, the physics teaching module based on Problem Based Learning as a whole is considered valid, very practical, and quite effective for use in the physics learning process.

Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini, telah dilakukan penumbuhan grafena dengan menggunakan metode Hotwire-Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition (HW-PECVD). Metode ini merupakan metode kombinasi antara metode PECVD konvensional dan metode CVD termal dengan menambahkan elemen hot-wire. Plasma dibangkitkan dengan menggunakan frekuensi radio pada spektrum Very High Frequency (VHF) sebesar 70 MHz. Sampel grafena ditumbuhkan di atas substrat kaca SiO2 yang telah dilapisi lapisan katalis nikel dengan temperatur penumbuhan 300°C. Grafena yang dihasilkan dianalisis dengan menggunakan spektroskopi Raman. Spektrum Raman sampel menunjukkan bahwa sampel yang dihasilkan telah mengandung struktur grafitik yang ditunjukkan oleh keberadaan pita G yang tajam, disertai dengan pita D yang menunjukkan bahwa sampel tersebut juga mengandung sejumlah cacat pada struktur grafitiknya. Sementara itu, pita 2D yang tampak dalam spektra Raman masih relatif lemah yang memberi indikasi kualitas sampel yang buruk, mengandung banyak cacat, dan berukuran nanokristalin. Walaupun demikian, hasil ini menunjukkan adanya potensi besar untuk dapat menumbuhkan grafena pada temperatur rendah melalui metode HW-PECVD yang digunakan melalui optimasi parameter-parameter penumbuhan lebih lanjut seperti tekanan penumbuhan dan laju alir gas sumber termasuk mengoptimasi ketebalan lapisan katalis nikelnya.

Abstract

In the era of project-based learning (PjBL), the quality of student learning is a primary concern. However, often the quality of user interface (UI) in these projects is neglected. Therefore, we conducted intensive training using Figma to enhance UI quality in PjBL projects. With a practical approach, students were encouraged to become more engaged and understand UI design concepts better. The results were surprising: there was a significant improvement in the quality of student project UIs. Not only were they more actively involved, but they were also able to apply good design principles. These findings offer new hope in curriculum development and teaching practices for the future, reinforcing Figma's contribution to enhancing student learning quality.
