Abstract

This study aims to map the level of vulnerability of forest and land fires in an effort to support the realization of forest fire management strategy in Bengkalis Regency by considering land cover aspects, soil type, rainfall, height of place and settlement distance. This research was conducted in Bukit Batu sub-district, Kab. Bengkalis. This research uses survey method in collecting secondary data and primary data. The data analysis was done with each observation parameter. The results of this study indicate that the level of fire vulnerability in Bukit Batu Subdistrict is divided into two classes, namely very high and high vulnerability. Most of Bukit Batu sub-district has a very high level of vulnerability. High vulnerability area has 27,533,611 Ha (22,49%) and very high 94,915,83 (77,51%). Where the determining factor that plays a major role in influencing the high level of vulnerability in a location that is land cover, rainfall, and soil type.

Abstract

Management and exploitation of forest products required for planning to be prepared for sustainable forest exploitation and also taking into account aspects of Sustainability. The so-called aspects are production capabilities, ecological functions and social functions. In order to achieve these matters, appropriate data are needed to present information on the potential for existing forest stands through forest inventory activities. In the inventory activity found some problems that occur in terms of cost, time, problems and human resources needed. Factors that will affect the data we get. These inhibiting factors can be overcome by creating three groups using methods that have been developed both in data retrieval techniques and data processing. The sampling method as a suitable and effective method in which the sampling method used in the inventory activity is a conventional method using a plot or a circle plot with the area and sampling determined according to the age class of the stand. In addition, using conventional methods is another method that also has accurate and precise information. Method of sampling trees. This study aims to the effectiveness and effectiveness of tree sampling methods and circular plot methods, making it easier to find an efficient and effective location in the work area of PT. Perawang Sukses Perkasa Petapahan District. The research was conducted in the plantation of industrial plant Ekaliptus (Eucalyptus pellita) located at PT. Perawang Sukses Perkasa Industri Petapahan District, Kampar District, Riau Province. This research was conducted for 2 months ie in May - June 2018. Based on the results of research conducted method of circular plot will be more effective and has a higher level of accuracy than other methods with a value of 2.9% sampling error. When viewed from a relative point of view, the relative average yield using the tree sampling method of 8 trees is more easily done in a circular manner with a relative value of 200.28% and accuracy is still accountable.

Abstract

Birds are an animal that has an important role in the process of forest succession, plays a role in spreading seeds, helping pollination, and balancing ecosystems. Deforestation of forest areas in Riau has a high rate, this can be seen from the change in the function of forests into agricultural and plantation land. The Sultan Syarif Hasyim Forest Park (TAHURA) is a conservation area that has quite alarming conditions, of the forest area of 6,172 hectares, there are only 2,000 hectares left forested, while the rest have acacia forest cover, shrubs, oil palm plantations, rubber plantations . The assessment of bird diversity needs to be carried out in the Sultan Syarif Hasyim Tahura given the high level of habitat destruction. Birds in TAHURA Sultan Syarif Hasyim have 71 species of birds from 34 families and 13 orders, there are 5 nocturnal birds. The diversity index (H) ranges from 3.19 - 3.92, the evenness index type (E) ranges from 0.88 - 0.92 and the species richness index (R) ranges from 2.14 - 4.28.

Abstract

Industrial plantations are production forests that have monoculture species (1 species), which take up to 5 years to be ready for harvest. Before harvesting, activities are carried out it is necessary to analyze the cost of harvesting, where the aim is to find out the magnitude of the profits obtained by the company. The purpose of this study is to analyze the cost of harvesting and analyze the productivity of wood from harvesting activities at HPHTI PT. PSPI Petapahan District. This research was conducted in May - June 2019. The sampling method in this study used a purposive sampling system. Based on the results of research conducted at PT. PSPI Petapahan District, the production costs for harvesting are activity are obtained, the amount of costs for felling and dividing the stems of IDR 27.235/hour, the costs for stacking IDR 200.584/hour, costs for stripping bark of IDR 203.991/hour, costs for skidding IDR 204.091/hour, the fee for loading and unloading skid is IDR 200.584/hour and the cost for loading to truck is IDR 200.584/hour. While harvesting productivity for each activity is felling productivity of 20,97 m3/hour, division of stems of 35,25 m3/hour, stacking of 21,10 m3/hour, stripping bark of 39,50 m3/hour, skidding of wood by 21,23 m3/hour, skid loading and unloading of 49,61 m3/hour and loading to trucks of 12,40 m3/hour.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the exposure, sensitivity and adaptation of the community in mitigating climate change and to obtain a map of the level of vulnerability of the community in mitigating climate change. This study uses secondary data and primary data with the survey method using a questionnaire of 75 respondents by purposive sampling which is a community in 3 (three) villages in District XIII Koto Kampar. In addition, in-depth interviews were conducted with village heads, farmer groups, community leaders and focus group discussions. Data processing is done by Excel, software Arc Gis 9.3 to obtain a map of the level of vulnerability of the community. Data analysis was carried out descriptively. The level of exposure and sensitivity of Pulau Gadang Village, Koto Mesjid and Tanjung Alai are included in the criteria of moderate. For the level of adaptation measured by the criteria of health, education, electricity and road infrastructure of Pulau Gadang Village and Koto Masjid, the criteria are rather high, while Tanjung Alai Village is of moderate criteria. The level of vulnerability in the three villages includes the level of moderate vulnerability

Abstract

Lancang Kuning University Campus (UNILAK) is one of the campuses that has a fairly wide area and has enormous potential, especially related to the use of space whose potential has not been maximally utilized to support the Tridharma activities of higher education. The lack of land use is due to a more detailed inventory of land cover types that have not yet been carried out so that data and information related to existing land cover types are still very minimal. So it is necessary to identify the type of land cover and land cover characteristics at the Unilak Campus, to obtain information and data for further use. Land cover is the mention of biophysical appearance on the surface of the earth consisting of areas of vegetation, open land, built up land, water bodies and wetlands. One of the activities carried out for land cover data collection is land cover inventory activity using applications in the senses and GIS to collect data on land cover types in the study area coverage. Information on the types of land cover can be obtained from land cover data inventory activities through ground check activities or data collection on land cover conditions in the field.
