Abstract

Abstract

Digital transformation is a key organizational strategy, yet data-intensive systems and artificial intelligence amplify ethical dilemmas and contested value choices. Prior reviews cover digital transformation, AI ethics, and corporate digital responsibility, but rarely explain how ethical principles and axiological values are operationalized across the strategic lifecycle. This systematic literature review maps integration mechanisms in strategy formulation and implementation, identifies the ethical orientations that underpin them, and synthesizes recurring barriers and responses. We screened Scopus journal articles in English published from 2019 to 2025 and appraised quality using the Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool; 70 medium or high quality studies were synthesized through narrative synthesis and reflexive thematic analysis. Ethics and axiology are most often embedded through governance arrangements and formal policies, supported by stakeholder engagement and transparency and accountability practices. Explicit references to classical normative theories are less frequent than applied framings grounded in stakeholder orientation, responsibility, and responsible AI. Common barriers include governance gaps, cultural resistance, cybersecurity risks, and privacy concerns, and responses emphasize strengthened governance, capability building, and auditable oversight. The review’s novelty is a lifecycle-oriented synthesis that links normative foundations to concrete, auditable strategic mechanisms. It translates fragmented debates into a transferable, mechanism-based map that can guide governance design and future empirical testing. Based on these patterns, we propose an axiological lens as a practical strategic compass for making value commitments explicit, actionable, and continuously evaluated.

Abstract

This study examines university students’ perceptions of Kahoot-based digital gamification in Indonesian discourse learning. As higher education increasingly integrates educational technology, gamified platforms such as Kahoot are widely adopted to enhance engagement and learning motivation. However, limited research has specifically examined its role in tertiary-level discourse learning in Indonesia. Employing a descriptive quantitative approach, this study involved 20 sixth-semester students from the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Program at Tridinanti University. Data were collected using a validated Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The findings reveal predominantly positive perceptions across three dimensions: self-perception, interpersonal perception, and situational perception. Students reported increased motivation, participation, confidence, and classroom enjoyment. The results suggest that Kahoot supports interactive learning and fosters a more engaging academic environment. This study contributes to the growing body of research on digital gamification in higher education and offers pedagogical implications for technology-enhanced language instruction.

Abstract

Background: Higher education institutions play a strategic role in preparing competent healthcare professionals and ensuring the quality of health services in the community. In the era of rapid health system transformation and technological advancement, health polytechnics are required to strengthen organizational performance through effective knowledge management, lecturer competence, and motivation to support adaptive institutional capabilities. Objective: This study examined the effects of knowledge management, lecturer motivation, and lecturer competence on the institutional performance of Health Polytechnics. Methods: Using an explanatory quantitative design, data were collected from 380 lecturers at 38 institutions through stratified sampling and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Results: The results indicate that all independent variables significantly influence institutional performance. Organizational dynamic capabilities and lecturer performance are proven to act as significant mediators, both in parallel and serial relationships. A crucial finding indicates that the serial mediation pathway of knowledge management through dynamic capabilities and lecturer performance has the strongest influence. This confirms that the transformation of knowledge into organizational adaptive capabilities significantly determines institutional effectiveness. Conclusions: This research indicates that strengthening lecturer capacity is essential for producing graduates who are adaptive to digital transformation and modern healthcare systems. Practically, this study provides strategic guidance for human resource development in higher health education to improve public health services sustainably.

Abstract

Objective: In the context of rapid transformation in vocational and professional education, this study aims to examine the influence of Generational Cohort on Learning-Oriented Work Commitment, with Educational Context serving as a mediating variable. Although generational differences are often assumed to shape learning behavior, empirical evidence explaining the mechanism through which these differences affect learning commitment remains limited. Method: This study employed a quantitative research design using a survey method. The sample consisted of learners enrolled in vocational and professional education programs in Bandung, Indonesia. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the assistance of SmartPLS software. Results: The findings indicate that Generational Cohort has a significant effect on Educational Context, while Educational Context significantly influences affective, continuance, and normative learning commitment. Moreover, Educational Context fully mediates the relationship between Generational Cohort and all dimensions of learning-oriented work commitment, indicating that generational differences do not directly determine learning commitment but operate through contextual learning conditions. Novelty: This study offers a critical theoretical contribution by challenging the dominant assumption that generational differences directly determine learning commitment. By empirically demonstrating the full mediating role of Educational Context, this research reframes generational differences as contextual rather than deterministic factors. The findings advance educational theory by positioning Educational Context as the central mechanism through which generational characteristics are translated into learning-oriented work commitment in vocational and professional education.

Abstract

The rapid diffusion of artificial intelligence (AI) across organizational functions has shifted strategic attention from mere technological adoption toward the development of human-centered capabilities. Strategic capability is operationalized through organizational responsiveness and strategic alignment in leveraging AI. Data were collected from 350 employees working in AI-adopting organizations in Indonesia and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The measurement model demonstrates satisfactory reliability and validity. Structural model results indicate that artificial intelligence literacy has a significant positive effect on employee agility (β = 0.62, p < 0.001), and employee agility significantly enhances strategic capability (β = 0.67, p < 0.001). Mediation analysis confirms a significant indirect effect of artificial intelligence literacy on strategic capability through employee agility (β = 0.41, p < 0.001), with a variance accounted for (VAF) of 66 percent, indicating partial mediation. These findings suggest that artificial intelligence literacy alone is insufficient to generate strategic advantage unless activated through agile employee behavior. The study contributes theoretically by identifying employee agility as a key microfoundation linking AI literacy to strategic capability. Practically, the results highlight the importance of integrating AI literacy development with agility-oriented human resource practices to support sustainable competitiveness, aligning with SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure).   Keywords: Artificial intelligence literacy, employee agility, strategic capability, PLS-SEM
