Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the interaction between learning motivation and problem-solving skills in the context of Social Sciences (IPS) learning at SMPN 8 Cimahi. Adopting a quantitative approach through a 2^3 factorial experimental design, this research involved 60 students divided into an experimental group (using Problem-Based Learning - PBL) and a control group (using Inquiry Learning). Data was collected through observation, documentation, pretest-posttest, and questionnaires, then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics (One-Way ANOVA) with SPSS 26.0. The results showed a significant increase in problem-solving skills in the PBL group compared to the Inquiry group, especially due to the interaction with student learning motivation. Descriptively, the average normalized gain score of the PBL group (0.8424) was superior to that of the Inquiry group (0.7147). The One-Way ANOVA test confirmed significant differences in problem-solving skill improvement for both learning groups (PBL: F=44.220, sig<0.000; Inquiry: F=4.866, sig<0.016), with effects varying based on motivation levels. Furthermore, the interaction effect test (F=4.410, sig=0.022) confirmed a combined influence between learning methods and student motivation. These findings conclude that PBL is more effective in enhancing student engagement and problem-solving skills, while also emphasizing the importance of considering teaching methods and student motivation levels when designing learning activities.

Abstract

In this rapidly evolving digital era, digital transformation and business incubation have been identified as key determinants in driving improved performance SMEs in Indonesia. A quantitative study, using an explanatory approach, specifically investigated how these two aspects affect 200 SMEs in Indonesia that have actively adopted digital technology and participated in incubation programs. The information for the study was collected through an extensive survey and analyzed in depth using multiple linear regression methods. The findings suggest that digital transformation possesses a significant and positive impact on SME business performance. This impact is mainly manifested through the utilization of strategies such as the use of e-commerce, the implementation of an efficient digital management system, and the optimization of social media, which collectively contribute to increased operational efficiency and expanded market reach. Furthermore, incubation programs have also been shown to play a crucial role in improving performance, by providing relevant training, expert mentoring, and vital access to business networks. Overall, this study confirms that the synergy between digital transformation and business incubation substantially improves SME performance.

Abstract

Self-regulated learning (SRL) has emerged as a key competency in modern education. It enables students to take charge of their learning by planning, monitoring, and evaluating their progress. As artificial intelligence (AI) advances rapidly, educational technologies such as chatbots, intelligent tutoring systems, and generative AI tools are being increasingly introduced in classrooms and on online platforms. Although these technologies are often integrated to enhance learning outcomes, their specific role in supporting self-regulated learning (SRL) remains understudied. This paper presents a systematic review of 22 peer-reviewed articles published between 2007 and May 2025. The goal is to map how AI technologies contribute to the different phases of SRL using the framework proposed by Winne and Hadwin (1998) and updated by Winne (2018). The findings indicate that most AI tools provide substantial support during the strategy enactment phase, while fewer focus on planning and metacognitive monitoring. Two phases that are central to SRL’s cyclical nature, task understanding and reflective adaptation, receive comparatively little attention. From a dimensional perspective, cognitive and metacognitive processes are the most frequently addressed, whereas motivational and emotional components are often overlooked. Over 80% of the studies reported a positive impact of AI on SRL behaviors, and approximately 65% noted improvements in academic performance. These results underscore the importance of designing AI systems that are intelligent, responsive, empathetic, and aligned with the realities of student learning. Future research should consider developing emotionally aware, multi-phase AI tools, particularly chatbots, that can accompany learners through the full cycle of SRL in a personalized, ongoing manner.

Abstract

This study examines how coffee shops in Bandung implement the Triple Layered Business Model Canvas (TLBMC) to balance profitability with ecological stewardship and social responsibility. Its primary aim is to simultaneously highlight the core factors enabling such establishments to thrive within economic, environmental, and social dimensions. Employing a qualitative method, the research collects data from interviews and detailed on-site observations. The findings indicate that revenue diversification and efficient resource management result in economic benefits, while environmentally conscious initiatives such as local sourcing, composting practices, and reusable packaging reduce costs and enhance public image. Social engagement through staff development programs, community events, and transparent supply chain practices fosters greater customer loyalty and a positive brand reputation. The synergy among these three layers demonstrates the potential of the TLBMC framework to support holistic value creation, even for small-scale enterprises with limited resources. In conclusion, the study provides practical evidence that adopting a TLBMC-centered strategy can yield multiple tangible and intangible gains, thereby encouraging broader sustainability transformations in local coffee shop contexts. These findings underscore the value of integrating economic, environmental, and social considerations as a cohesive framework for fostering long-term business resilience and community well-being. However, this study is limited to coffee shops within a single urban context, which may reduce the generalizability of the findings. Future research could expand the geographical scope or employ longitudinal designs to strengthen the study’s broader applicability.
