Abstract

Abstract

Infrastructure development aims to improve people's welfare, but can indirectly change land use and environmental conditions. The aim of this research is to analyze the impact of environmental changes resulting from the construction of the Ganefo Flyover on Jalan Raya Mranggen, Demak Regency. The impacts of environmental change studied are in the form of biotic, abiotic and social environments. The impact of the abiotic environment on noise is measured with a Sound Level Meter. The biotic environment for biodiversity is observed using the Rapid Survey method. Community perception data was collected through questionnaires by visiting residents' homes. The results of the analysis show that in the abiotic environment there is a change in the form of a decrease in noise levels, while in the biotic environment there is a change in the form of a decrease in the diversity of vegetation and wildlife. Environmental changes according to public perception are getting better in terms of traffic and road conditions. However, conditions worsened in waterways, air, dust, green open space (RTH) and biodiversity, and did not change in noise conditions. Therefore, it is concluded that after the Ganefo Flyover existed, it had an impact on changes in the surrounding environment.

Abstract

The increasing demand for renewable energy necessitates sustainable alternatives such as biochar briquettes derived from agricultural waste. This study aims to optimize the production process and evaluate the physical, mechanical, and combustion properties of biochar briquettes made from corn residues, rice husks, and coconut shells. The methodology includes biomass carbonization, binder ratio optimization, and systematic testing of key quality parameters such as moisture content, density, ash content, and calorific value. Results indicate that an optimal biomass-to-binder ratio yields a high calorific value (7,192 kcal/kg) and low ash content (3.57%), enhancing combustion efficiency. Maintaining moisture content below 10% enhances ignition and prolongs burning time. These findings highlight biochar briquettes' role in carbon sequestration, biomass conversion, and sustainable waste management, supporting the circular economy and reducing environmental pollution. Biochar briquettes offer a clean, accessible energy solution, contributing to global energy security and climate change mitigation.

Abstract

Industrial areas in Indonesia are increasing every year with a total of 136 industrial estates in 2024, of which 61.76% are in Java, such as Kendal Industrial Estate (KIE) with an increase in built-up land of 289.52 hectares (2015-2017). The problem is that the development was carried out by converting vegetation cover. The purpose of the study was to analyze the impact of the increase in built-up land on the environmental quality index around Kendal Industrial Estate. Research method with supervised classification Random Forest method and spectral transformation Risk Screening Enviromental Indicators with indicators of greenness index, humidity Index, dryness Index and heat index with Principal Component Analysis technique. The results showed that built-up land around KIE increased by 894.17 hectares which resulted in a decrease in vegetation cover of 184.71 hectares (2015-2024), this phenomenon had an impact on increasing low-level RSEI by around 2,028.31 hectares (2015-2024). The regression results show that the increase in built-up land and the reduction of vegetation cover have an impact on the decline in environmental quality in the study area. The contribution of the research results can be used as a database for regulation of land use change restrictions.

Abstract

Customer satisfaction prediction is critical for business banking to retain clients and optimize services, yet existing models struggle with imbalanced data and suboptimal convergence. Traditional approaches lack adaptive learning mechanisms, limiting accuracy in real-world applications. This study developed an optimized Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model using the Adam algorithm to improve prediction accuracy for banking customer satisfaction. We trained an ANN on the Santander Customer Satisfaction Dataset (76,019 entries, 371 features) with Adam optimization. Preprocessing included normalization, removal of quasi-constant features, and an 80-20 train-test split. Adam’s adaptive learning rates and momentum were leveraged to address gradient instability. The model achieved 95.82% accuracy, 99.99% precision, 95.83% recall, a 97.87% F1-score, and 0.82 AUC, outperforming traditional optimizers like SGD. Training loss reduced by 30% with faster convergence. This work demonstrates Adam’s efficacy in handling imbalanced banking data, providing a scalable framework for customer analytics. The results advance computer science applications in fintech by integrating adaptive optimization with deep learning for high-stakes decision-making. This research contributes to the growing body of knowledge in machine learning applications for business analytics and provides a valuable framework for improving customer satisfaction prediction models in various industries and the advancement of deep learning applications in business intelligence, particularly in banking service quality prediction.

Abstract

Pomah Village is one of the villages located in Klaten Regency, Central Java, which is one of the locations held by UNNES GIAT 7. At this time, young voters have an important role in determining their voting rights for the political contestation process. However, not all young people understand and are aware of the importance of political education. Therefore, UNNES GIAT 7 students came up with the idea of a work program in the form of "Peaceful Election Outreach, Anti-Money Politics and Anti-Abstention" to provide an understanding to young voters about the importance of using their voting rights and also anticipate all kinds of actions that deviate from democratic values by avoiding the practice of money politics and abstention. Money politics usually occurs before the election with the mode of regional head candidates or legislative members giving money, basic necessities, rewards and others to the community, so it is consciously considered a corrupt practice. Money politics directly violates the provisions of the UUD 1945 28E paragraph (2). In practice, money politics makes people unable to make choices based on their conscience because they have received rewards from candidates. Therefore, the outreach of peaceful elections can help provide solutions for the community to increase awareness of political participation by implementing rights and obligations and implementing anti-money politics and anti-abstention attitudes in political contestation.
