Abstract

Mata air menjadi salah satu sumber daya air yang memiliki potensi sebagai wilayah yang dapat dimanfaatkan, mata air sering kali berasal dari tanah yang muncul di permukaan, Mata air yang berada di Kelurahan Kandri antara lain Sendang Kali Kidul, Sendang Gede, dan Sendang Jambu. Proses pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik water grab sampling yang dilakukan dengan cara pengambilan sampel terlebih dahulu, kemudian dianalisis lebih lanjut. Uji kualitas mata air di ketiga sendang dilakukan menggunakan parameter fisika dan kimia. Parameter fisika yang diuji meliputi TDS dan suhu. Sedangkan parameter kimia meliputi COD, BOD, dan pH. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh kadar TDS dari ketiga sendang 82 ppm, 131 ppm, dan 141 ppm. Suhu yang diperoleh 28,3 C, 28,4 C dan 28,6 C. BOD yang diperoleh 12,26 mg/l, 4,07 mg/l, dan 0,9 mg/l. COD yang diperoleh 40 mg/l, 1 mg/l dan 13 mg/l. sedangkan , untuk pH sendiri yaitu 4,8 untuk sendang Kidul ; 5,2 untuk Sendang Gede ; dan 4,8 untuk Sendang Gede. Abstract

Sebagai Ibu Kota Provinsi Jawa Tengah, Semarang termasuk kedalam daerah dengan pertumbuhan penduduk yang cukup tinggi. Pertumbuhan infrastruktur kota selalu terjadi, pembebasan banyak lahan juga dikhawatirkan akan terjadi. Sebagai upaya tersedianya ruang terbuka hijau (RTH), Kota Semarang dengan Peraturan Daerah (Perda) Nomor 7 Tahun 2010 sudah menetapkan ketentuan tentang penataan ruang terbuka hijau di tingkat kota maupun tingkat kecamatan. Semarang Timur merupakan salah satu kecamatan di Semarang dengan jumlah penduduk sebesar 70.972 jiwa, kesesuaian kondisi dan fungsi RTH perlu dikaji untuk meningkatkan keefektivitasannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis aspek fungsional dan pola pemanfaatan Ruang Terbuka Hijau (RTH) di Taman Progo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan pengambilan data dengan wawancara responden dan observasi lapangan yang kemudian didukung dengan dokumentasi peraturan daerah di Semarang yang berkaitan. Analasis yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan analisis tersebut, didapatkan hasil bahwa Taman Progo sudah cukup memenuhi fungsi yang sudah ada, namun ditemukannya beberapa kekurangan yaitu kurangnya pengelolaan yang dilakukan pemerintah, serta persepsi masyarakat tentang Taman Progo yang belum sesuai.

Abstract

Penajam Paser Utara and parts of Kutai Kartanegara, East Kalimantan regions were selected as the location of the relocation of the National Capital of Indonesia. Significant land use changes have occurred since 2000 until 2023 and potentially affect changes in the carrying capacity of the protected function from before and current development. This study aims to determine the carrying capacity of the protected function in the development area of the Nusantara Capital City (IKN). The study results show that the carrying capacity of the protected function in the Nusantara Capital City area in 2000 resulted in a value of 0.42 while in 2023 it resulted in a value of 0.50. Both values are in moderate condition where in 2000 it was dominated by shrubs while in 2023 it has an increase in land area in the form of plantation forests that dominate the Nusantara Capital City area and the expansion of agricultural land as well as settlements and other buildings.   Keywords: Carrying Capacity of The Protected Function, Nusantara Capital City, Land-use Change

Abstract

Sumber sampah organik dari kegiatan pertanian serta rumah tangga di Desa Jetak menjadikan perlunya pengelolaan yang tepat yang bisa memberikan manfaat ekonomi namun ramah lingkungan. Oleh karena itu, tujuan kegiatan pengabdian adalah pelatihan pengolahan sampah organik menggunakan larva BSF (Black Soldier Fly). Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan dengan tahap persiapan, tahap kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan hingga evaluasi. Pada tahap evaluasi diketahui bahwa semua peserta merasa bahwa kegiatan ini menarik dan mengganggap bahwa pengolahan sampah organik menggunakan larva BSF itu efektif dan efisien, walaupun cukup banyak peserta yang merasa geli dengan larva BSF.

Abstract

Indonesia’s coastline, particularly Kendal Regency in Central Java, faces critical mangrove degradation due to land-use changes and rising sea levels. This study aims to asses the condition and erosion impacting Kendal's mangrove ecosystems to inform future conservation strategies. Using remote sensing technology, multi-spatial and multi-temporal imagery from 2005–2023 was analyzed and validated with field observations to evaluate mangrove species composition, structure, and land changes. The mangrove area increased by 52% in three locations, with the Bodri River delta (Pidodo Kulon and Pidodo Wetan villages) showing the most significant growth at 76.69 hectares. Ngebum Beach (Mororejo) had the largest proportional increase, reaching 185%. The ecosystems are moderately diverse, containing at least 11 mangrove species, though Rhizophora dominates due to extensive planting efforts. Despite stable conditions, these ecosystems face threats from deforestation for aquaculture, the primary driver of land erosion, compounded by rising sea levels. Although mangrove areas have expanded significantly, ongoing challenges include erosion, anthropogenic pressures, and limited species diversity. Future strategies must involve multi-stakeholder collaboration to implement sustainable practices, promote species diversity, develop erosion mitigation models, and conduct awareness campaigns to ensure the resilience of Kendal’s mangrove ecosystems.

Abstract

Kabupaten Grobogan merupakan kabupaten terpadat kedua di Provinsi Jawa Tengah dengan luas wilayah mencapai 197.586,42 dengan tanah sawah seluas 63.955. Kajian kali ini akan berfokus pada perhitungan kebutuhan lahan pertanian di setiap Kecamatan di wilayah Kabupaten Grobogan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh indeks daya dukung padi di Kabupaten Grobogan tahun 2017 dan 2022 melalui studi dokumentasi. Metode deskriptif kuantitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini dalam memperoleh data. Pada tahun 2017 rata-rata daya dukung lahan padi di Kabupaten Grobogan yaitu 3,96 (surplus) dan pada tahun 2022 yaitu 3,59 (surplus). Artinya, meskipun wilayah tersebut mampu melaksanakan swasembada pangan atau jumlah penduduk yang berada dalam jangkauan penduduk ideal, namun ada fluktuasi yang terjadi di beberapa daerah. Penurunan indeks selain karena terjadinya penurunan luas lahan panen, juga disebabkan oleh bertambahnya jumlah penduduk. Selain itu, penurunan produksi lahan juga turut serta dalam penurunan klasifikasi kelas pada kecamatan tersebut. Tantangan implementasi daya dukung lahan pertanian berbasis ekoregion adalah data yang masih berbasis administrasi, contohnya adalah data jumlah penduduk dan produktivitas padi. Guna mensiasati hal tersebut, data dapat diintegrasikan dengan pendekatan penginderaan jauh. Pendekatan tersebut bisa dengan transformasi citra indeks vegetasi seperti NDVI maupun EVI.

Abstract

Tofu industry waste consists of solid and liquid waste. Tofu liquid waste contains high organic materials such as C, H, O, N, P, and S, which are useful as nutrients for plants. This study was conducted to see the difference in the effectiveness of liquid organic fertilizer from tofu liquid waste, considering that the levels of elements in each production unit are not the same. In this study, the effectiveness test was carried out on curly red chili plants (Capsicum annum L.). The experiment was carried out with a simple randomized block design and the data obtained were analyzed by the F test with a level of 5% if there was a significant difference followed by a 5% BNT test. Based on the analysis of variance, it is known that the growth of curly red chili plants (Capsicum annum L.) including plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, and leaf diameter is influenced by the provision of fertilizer and the type of waste as the basic material for fertilizer. While the wet weight and length of plant roots are not affected by the provision of fertilizer or the type of waste.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of land use changes on the carrying capacity of the protective function of the Babon Watershed (DAS Babon) and its relation to flood events in the area. The research employs a quantitative approach using satellite imagery data from 2015 and 2023, processed with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to map land use changes and the carrying capacity of the watershed's protective function. The results indicate significant land use changes, particularly the conversion of agricultural land into residential and industrial areas, which has reduced the extent of water infiltration zones and natural vegetation. The decline in the carrying capacity of the protective function of the Babon Watershed has increased flood risks, especially in downstream areas exposed to high surface runoff. The analysis of the protective function's carrying capacity (DDL) reveals a degradation in protective quality in several districts, with lower DDL values observed in 2023. The use of impervious materials such as concrete and asphalt exacerbates drainage quality and worsens flood risks.

Abstract

Laundry MSMEs are resource-intensive, consuming significant electricity and water while discharging wastewater with high concentrations of detergent residues. Accordingly, assessing their environmental impacts is essential to support sustainable practices in the laundry sector. This study aims to quantify the carbon footprint and water footprint of a laundry MSME, identify the hotspot, and propose mitigation strategies. A gate-to-gate Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) was conducted using SimaPro software. Impact assessment applied IPCC 2021 GWP100 for carbon footprint and AWARE methodology for water footprint. The result shows that laundering 1 ton of clothes generates 5,072 kg CO₂-eq and 687 m³ of water use. The washing process is identified as the main hotspot, contributing 3,470 kg CO₂-eq (68% of total emissions) and 654 m³ (95% of total water use). These findings highlight the need for targeted interventions at the washing stage to reduce environmental impacts and enhance resource efficiency in the laundry sector.

Abstract

Nipah Panjang Village in Kubu Raya Regency, Indonesia, has diverse mangrove forest vegetation. Meanwhile, the mangrove forest in Nipah Panjang Village has the potential threat of deforestation, so it is necessary to develop a management strategy. A mangrove management directive can be compiled with mangrove biophysical data and the social conditions of the surrounding community. Therefore, this study aims to examine the distribution of mangrove forest areas and their utilization by the community in Nipah Panjang Village. The method used in this study was GIS analysis to determine the distribution of mangrove forest areas. In this study, observations and interviews were carried out to determine the use of mangrove forests. The study results show that from 2013 through 2018, there was around 3.12 Ha of deforestation. Deforestation that occurred was much lower than the previous year. It was due to the implementation of a devolution policy that granted village forest permits in Nipah Panjang Village. Currently, the forms of utilization of mangrove forests in Nipah Panjang Village are the farming (apiculture)  of kelulut honey, forest honey farming, and crab farming with the concept of silvofishery and the development of ecotourism. This form of utilization needs to be maximized so that the community's welfare increases, ultimately maintaining the mangrove forest.
