Abstract

The background that drives this research is that as the times develop, new literacy is needed in the world of education to improve the quality and quality of education by introducing teachers to the STEAM approach. The focus of the problem in this study is how the profile of the understanding of prospective elementary school teachers towards the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) approach in Semarang City. This type of research is qualitative descriptive. Data collection in this study was carried out by methods of (1) observation, (2) interviews, (3) questionnaires, and documentation. The subject of this study is prospective elementary school teachers in the city of Semarang. The sample taken was students who were studying for the Pre-service Teacher Profession in Semarang City. The data obtained from the results of interviews with teachers, students, and parents were processed using data triangulation. This study concludes that not all students of Pre-service teacher professional education know about the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and, Mathematics) approach, but they have unconsciously implemented or applied the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and, Mathematics) approaching the learning process. This can be proven by the existence of prospective teachers who can give student assignments in the form of projects.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of Smart TV technology in supporting the learning process at SD Supriyadi 02 Semarang. Smart TV is used as a learning medium to enrich learning methods in class. The research method used was observation and interviews with one research subject, who was randomly selected. The results of the study show that the use of Smart TV can maintain students' focus and make them more enthusiastic about learning. This can be seen from the observation that students do not talk to themselves when learning takes place and do not disturb their friends who are also participating in learning in the classroom. Learners focus on the material delivered by the teacher through a smart TV, which displays learning videos about advertisements. In addition, students also become sleepy during learning because the material presented on Smart TV is attractive to them. Based on the research results, the use of Smart TV technology can be an alternative to improve the quality of learning at SD Supriyadi 02 Semarang. However, this research was only conducted on one subject, so further research is needed with a larger sample to test the effectiveness of using Smart TV as a learning medium in class

Abstract

Education plays an important role in producing a superior and characterful young generation, so it is necessary to instill empathy in students. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of digital books on empathy in grade IV students of SDN Bugangan 01. This study uses quantitative research with a pre-experimental design, with a one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study was grade IV, totaling 22 students. Research data were collected through a questionnaire in the form of a checklist of 25 questions to measure the level of student empathy. Data processing in this study used a normality test, homogeneity test, paired sample t-test and N-Gain test. The results of the pretest normality test have a significance value of 0.251 > 0.05, while the posttest value is 0.175 > 0.05. Then in the homogeneity test the significance is 0.224 > 0.05. This shows that the data is normally distributed and homogeneous. The results of the paired sample t-test show that digital books are effective in empathy in grade IV students. Furthermore, the N-Gain test shows a value of 0.51. So, digital books are effective for the empathy of grade IV students at SDN Bugangan 01 which is classified as moderate

Abstract

This research aims to describe poetry writing skills through the PBL model and describe the application of the PBL model in Indonesian language learning for class IV students at SDN Pandeanlamper 03 Semarang. Qualitative descriptive research using observation, interviews and documentation methods. The results of this research and discussion explain that the PBL (Problem Based Learning) learning model in Indonesian language learning for class IV students looks active, enthusiastic and enthusiastic in participating in learning. This learning model invites students to think critically to write poetry. Then, writing students' poetry skills through the PBL model with the help of pictures about the natural appearance of Raja Ampat is good with a percentage of 77.40% of students who are able to find ideas and process vocabulary, but there are some students who still feel confused in finding ideas and looking for vocabulary. the right way to compose poetry. Therefore, students' poetry writing skills through the Problem Based Learning model can help students develop imagination, find the right ideas and vocabulary.

Abstract

Digital literacy itself is a person's ability to manage, access, communicate and utilize electronic devices in an effort to obtain information. This research aims to analyze the digital literacy skills of grade 6 students at SDN Bugangan 01 through the assignment of making food menu posters using the Canva application. This research was conducted in July 2024. The method used by researchers is a descriptive qualitative method by describing the analysis that has been carried out. The data source involved grade 6 teachers and grade 6 students at SDN Bugangan 01, totaling 26 students. The data collection techniques used in this research were observation, interviews and documentation. Based on the observations that have been made, it can be concluded that the digital literacy skills of class 6 students at SDN Bugangan 01 through the assignment of food menu posters via the Canva application are good. Students can manage the Canva application well starting from entering the Canva application, being able to utilize the features on the Canva menu such as templates, fonts and other features in designing posters, downloading poster files to exiting the Canva application. Students also showed good results in the food menu poster assignment with an attractive design in accordance with students' creativity.

Abstract

The problem behind the absence of a traditional game-based gymnastics development model that can support the development of character in elementary school. Another thing that lies behind this research, the various acts of moral decline and character, especially in elementary school students who have reached low grade elementary students. The goal to be achieved through this research is to produce "Yudi" model in character education education in elementary school. The method that will be applied in achieving that goal is Borg & Gall's research and development model. This research focuses on the development of Buyung's gymnastics model and traditional games that can be used in character learning in elementary school. The object chosen in this research is elementary school students in Semarang City. Determination of data source is done by purposive. The results of this study is a learning model "Yudi" which combines “Si Buyung” and traditional games to build character. Data of product feasibility evaluation result is an expert validation sheet. Expert assessment results show that the "Yudi" model that has been developed is feasible according to the material expert and the learning expert. The "Yudi" model developed to build a caring character is considered feasible to be used according to an excellent material expert with a total validation score of 78 so that the "Yudi" model developed for character building is judged worthy of use. According to the excellent value of "Yudi" model with a total validation score of 80 indicating the model "Yudi" is worth using.

Abstract

Kesulitan belajar pada siswa berpotensi menjadi faktor penghambat dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran, terbukti pada pola pencapaian hasil belajar siswa yang kurang dalam memenuhi tujuan pembelajaran. Kesulitan belajar pada siswa tidak hanya berasal dari lingkungan rumah, namun juga dapat berasal dari lingkungan sekolah. Sehingga, kesulitan belajar menjadi sebuah aspek yang harus mendapatkan perhatian khusus dari pihak sekolah (guru) dan orang tua siswa. di kelas IV yang berjumlah 14 siswa. 7 siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam belajar. 2 mengalami kesulitan membaca (disleksia), 2 kesulitan menulis (disgrafia) dan 3 kesulitan matematika (diskalkulia). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis kesulitan belajar siswa dan upaya guru dalam menangani kesulitan belajar siswa Kelas IV SD Negeri 4 Pojok Purwodadi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara,  dokumentasi. Kesulitan membaca berupa berhenti di tengah kalimat saat membaca pada kata yang berimbuhan, mengulang kata yang sama, membedakan huruf abjad  huruf b dan d. Kesulitan menulis, sangat pelan dalam menulis, menghilangkan huruf, tulisan tangan yang sulit dibaca dan melewati garis batas buku. Kesulitan matematika, kesulitan operasi hitung perkalian, pembagian dan membedakan bangun geometri. Berdasarkan hasil pembahasan yang telah diuraikan dapat disimpulankan bahwa penyebab kesulitan belajar pada siswa kelas IV di SD Negeri 4 Pojok disebabkan kurangnya daya minat dan motivasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membantu siswa memahami konsep dasar matematika nilai tempat sautu bilangan dengan cara yang lebih visual dan interaktif dan meningkatkan pembelajaran yang menarik dan tidak monoton dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran konkret di SD Negeri 03 Ngambakrejo. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan atau Research and Development (RD) dengan tahapan pengembangan ADDIE, yaitu analisis (analysis), desain (design), pengembangan (development), implementasi (implementation), dan evaluasi (evaluation). Hasil penelitian yaitu, menghasilkan produk media pembelajaran Block Dienes pada siswa kelas 2 SD Negeri 03 Ngambakrejo. Untuk menguji media tersebut membuthkan validasi dari ahli media dan ahli materi, hasil dari validasi media memperoleh persentase 97.5% sedangkan hasil dari validasi ahli materi memperoleh persentase 92,5%. Kemudian untuk menguji keberterimaan media “JAPRIAN” Jari Pintar Perkalian dengan melihat hasil angket tanggapan siswa dan tanggapan guru, angket tanggapan siswa memperoleh persentase sebanyak 96,6% dan angket tanggapan guru memperoleh persentase sebanyak 100%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa media Block Dienes layak, valid, dan dapat diterima baik untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran di kelas 2 Sekolah Dasar. Berdasarkan penelitian ini saran yang dapat disampaikan adalah supaya media pembelajaran ini dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu media pembelajaran alternatif guru dalam mengajar. Kesimpulannya produk media pembelajaran Blcok Dienes yang dikembengkan termasuk dalam kriteria sangat layak untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran konsep dasar matematika nilai tempat suatu bilangan.
