Abstract

Technology to support learning activities in schools is essential to implement to improve learning outcomes. Technology use also aligns with the objectives of implementing an independent curriculum, which requires digital skills. However, the conditions in schools still need to be improved regarding the use of technology both in delivering learning material and in digital-based evaluations. Every school is required to participate in a national evaluation in the form of a computer-based minimum competency assessment (AKM), carried out online. This activity aims to increase the use of digital technology in schools, including administration, teaching, and learning at SMA Negeri 1 Bengkulu Tengah. Digital utilization is carried out through the use of the i-school application. The activity implementation method consists of (1) preparation and needs analysis, (2) application system design, (3) outreach, (4) implementation of training and use of technology, (5) evaluation and monitoring. The target of the training activities consisted of 30 teachers and staff and 36 students. The result of this activity is creating a digital application to support administration, teaching, and learning activities that can be implemented in the target school. This activity also impacts increasing the teacher's ability to use open materials and online test tools through the i-school application. Students' responses to application usage activities are also at high criteria. Based on the activities carried out, it can be concluded that the use of technology through the i-school application can get a good response from the target of the activity and can be used in other schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model assisted by the Plickers application media on the understanding of mathematical concepts of second-semester students of the Bachelor of Mathematics Education, University of Bengkulu. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study with a non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study were all second-semester students of the Bachelor of Mathematics Education, University of Bengkulu in the 2023/2024 academic year. The sample of this study was taken using a purposive sampling technique where 30 students from the second semester of Class A were taught using the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model assisted by the Plickers application and 32 students from the second semester of Class B were taught using the direct learning model. Data collection was carried out using a mathematical concept ability test instrument. The results of the hypothesis test showed that the sig value (2-tailed) was 0.000 <significant level (α) = 0.05 and supported by an N-Gain of 0.581 with a moderate category. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the Teams Games Tournament model assisted by the Plickers application media on the mathematical concept understanding ability of 2nd semester students of the Bachelor of Mathematics Education program at the University of Bengkulu.

Abstract

Kelurahan Pematang Gubernur di Kota Bengkulu sebagai wilayah pesisir memiliki kekayaan budaya lokal yang belum banyak dikenalkan kepada anak usia dini. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan melatih guru PAUD dalam menciptakan media pembelajaran berbasis budaya lokal melalui hand puppet berkarakter Bujang dan Beteri. Pelatihan melibatkan 20 guru PAUD dari gugus setempat dengan membekali keterampilan membuat cerita masyarakat berbasis wilayah pesisir dan menggunakan media hand puppet berbasis cerita rakyat. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan edukatif partisipatif dengan tiga tahap utama: persiapan, pelatihan inti, dan pendampingan berkelanjutan. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi guru yang signifikan dalam menciptakan media pembelajaran berbasis budaya, dengan rata-rata peningkatan skor Pre-test ke Post-test sebesar 35 poin. Program menghasilkan media pembelajaran hand puppet , buku cerita bergambar, dan video dokumentasi. Dampak yang ditargetkan adalah meningkatnya kreativitas guru, tumbuhnya kecintaan anak terhadap budaya lokal pesisir, serta penguatan pendidikan karakter berbasis kearifan lokal di jenjang PAUD. Program ini juga membuka peluang pengembangan ekonomi kreatif bagi guru melalui produk edukatif berbasis kerajinan tangan. Keberlanjutan program dijaga melalui pelibatan aktif guru dan evaluasi berkala untuk memastikan dampak jangka panjang terhadap pembelajaran dan pelestarian budaya lokal

Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid and reliable numeracy literacy test instrument with the local cultural context of Bengkulu based on an Android application using iSpring Suite integrated with artificial intelligence (AI). This research was a development research (Research and Development) using the Cennamo and Kalk model which consists of five stages: defining, planning, demonstration, development, and evaluation. The research population was eighth-grade students in junior high schools (SMP) in Bengkulu, totaling 90 students. The research sample was determined using purposive sampling technique of 60 students. The numeracy literacy test instrument was developed based on numeracy literacy indicators from PISA and adapted to the local cultural context of Bengkulu such as tin mining, plantation production, and local wisdom of Bengkulu. Instrument validity was tested through expert judgment and empirical validity using factor analysis, while reliability was measured using Cronbach Alpha. The results showed that the numeracy literacy test instrument developed had achieved a valid category (content validity index = 0.89; construct validity = 0.85) and high reliability (α = 0.928) with 28 valid items from 35 initial items. The Android application based on iSpring Suite with AI integration is able to provide automatic and adaptive feedback to users. This instrument can be used as a contextual and technology-based numeracy literacy assessment and learning tool to improve numeracy abilities of junior high school students in Bengkulu.

Abstract

Flipped classroom pedagogy has emerged as an innovative approach in mathematics education, promising to enhance student engagement, deepen conceptual understanding, and improve learning outcomes. This study aimed to map the research landscape of flipped classrooms in mathematics education from 2022 to 2024 through a bibliometric analysis of 253 publications retrieved from the ERIC database. The bibliometric analysis, using Biblioshiny, revealed a significant disparity in author productivity, with a small group of researchers contributing a disproportionate share of publications. Furthermore, the study identified key journals and analyzed the co-occurrence of keywords, revealing two major research clusters: core pedagogical themes and the integration of technology and contemporary challenges. The analysis highlighted the influence of high-impact journals, particularly those from the United Kingdom and the United States, on the field. These findings underscore the need to encourage collaboration among researchers, diversify funding sources, and promote equitable access to research publications to ensure a more inclusive and impactful research landscape in flipped classroom mathematics education.

Abstract

The Minimum Competency Assessment (MCA) is Indonesia’s national instrument for measuring foundational competencies, including numeracy literacy. However, findings from the Programme for International Student Assessment and the MCA indicate that many students still perform at low levels, partly because test items rely on limited, less contextualized problem settings. This study developed an Android-based numeracy literacy test using iSpring Suite by embedding items within the historical heritage context of the Bengkulu Coast to support students’ assessment preparation. The instrument was designed using the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation) and piloted with ninth-grade students in Bengkulu City, Indonesia. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, documentation, and item try-outs, and analyzed for content validity, reliability, practicality, item difficulty, and discrimination. The expert review confirmed the feasibility of the content, construct, and language. Empirical results for 10 items showed acceptable to strong validity, high reliability (0.781), difficulty levels ranging from easy to moderate, and discrimination indices from moderate to very good. The practicality score reached 84.7% (very practical), indicating that contextualized mobile-based assessment is a valid and practical alternative for numeracy learning.

Abstract

Pengabdian pada masyarakat ini merupakan pengabdian berbasis riset. Kajian ini mengangkat isu perlindungan anak, ketidakadilan gender yang marak terjadi di dalam masyarakat bahkan dalam kelompok terkecil masyarakat yaitu keluarga. Pengabdian berbasis riset ini menjadi suplemen bagi orang tua dalam memperoleh pemahaman dan keterampilan melalui posko mitra keluarga responsive gender sehingga pemberian perlindungan kepada anak menjadi optimal. Program pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan tahapan pendampingan, mulai dari identifikasi kebutuhan masalah perlindungan anak responsive gender, analisis masalah, merumuskan solusi, implementasi, dan evaluasi program. Tahap akhir program ini adalah meningkatnya kompetensi orang tua dalam perlindungan anak serta berdampaknya posko mitra keluarga sebagai sarana belajar orang tua untuk belajar dan berbagi praktik baik dalam perlindungan anak. Pengabdian ini diselenggarakan secara intensif, yaitu selama bulan April-Mei. Hasil pengabdian ini ditemukan informasi bahwa berdasarkan identifikasi kasus kekerasan fisik, verbal, psikis, labelling kepada anak masih kerap terjadi, dan perlindungan kepada anak yang responsif gender belum dapat terealisasi sepenuhnya. Orang tua bahkan belum memahami hak dan kebutuhan anak sehingga perkembangan anak menjadi tidak optimal. Kebutuhan akan kelas belajar orang tua dalam rangka mengedukasi konsepsi perlindungan responsive gender terselenggara dengan menerapkan cara belajar dewasa bena. Pemahaman orang tua selama pendampingan intensif mengenai perlindungan responsive gender meningkat. Pengembangan pos mitra keluarga responsive gender menjadi solusi bagi SPNF- SKB Bengkulu Tengah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman orang tua dalam memberikan perlindungan kepada anak yang responsive gender.

Abstract

The use of teaching materials that were not optimal was one of the causes of students' low ability to understand concepts. The teaching materials used were not fully able to facilitate students' ability to understand concepts, and have not integrated learning approaches or models. Based on these problems, this study aims to determine the effectiveness of STEM-based LKPD assisted by GeoGebra on students' ability to understand mathematical concepts in grade X of senior high school. The research method used in this study was a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental research design. This study used a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest experimental design, because it only involves one group without a control group. The data collection technique used was a test of concept comprehension ability in the form of pr-test and post-test. The results showed that the use of GeoGebra-assisted STEM-based LKPD met the effectiveness criteria based on the Paired Sample t-Test and the N-Gain value. The Paired Sample t-Test shows a value of Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05 so that H₀ was rejected and H₁ was accepted, which means that there was a significant difference between  the pre-test and post-test scores  of students after using the LKPD. In addition, based on the N-Gain value, an average of 0.54 was obtained in the medium category. Based on these results, it could be concluded that STEM-based LKPD assisted by GeoGebra was effective in improving students' ability to understand mathematical concepts.

Abstract

Abstrak:Pendampingan guru SD dalam mengembangkan instrumen tes literasi numerasi berbasis HOTS berbantuan aplikasi Kahoot bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman guru-guru SD Negeri 42 Kota Bengkulu dalam mengembangkan instrumen tes literasi numerasi berbasis HOTS berbantuan aplikasi Kahoot. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian adalah metode ceramah, demonstrasi dan pendampingan. Metode ceramah untuk menyampaikan konsep literasi numerasi berbasis HOTS, sedangkan metode demonstrasi dan pendampingan untuk memberikan kesempatan berlatih kepada peserta mengembangkan instrumen tes literasi numerasi berbasis HOTS berbantuan aplikasi Kahoot. Kegiatan pengabdian secara keseluruhan dapat dinilai baik, dilihat dari keberhasilan target jumlah peserta workshop dinilai baik (80persen), ketercapaian tujuan workshop dinilai baik (75persen), ketercapaian target materi yang telah direncanakan dinilai baik (80persen), dan kemampuan peserta dalam penguasaan materi dinilai baik (80persen).

Abstract

Based on the results of PISA, Indonesian students' mathematical literacy process skills—particularly in the aspects of representation and using symbolic, formal, and technical language and operations—are still relatively low. This study aimed to analyze students' abilities in mastering the components of the PISA mathematical literacy process. The research employed a descriptive method. The subjects were students of classes IX-1 and IX-2 at SMP Negeri 4 Kota Bengkulu during the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The instruments and data collection techniques used in this study included test sheets and interviews. The results showed that 45.45% of students demonstrated proficiency in the representation process, while 49.82% showed ability in using symbolic, formal, and technical language and operations. These results indicate that less than 50% of students in classes IX-1 and IX-2 of SMPN 4 Kota Bengkulu possess adequate skills in these two aspects. Therefore, these abilities still need to be improved.Berdasarkan hasil PISA, kemampuan proses literasi matematika siswa Indonesia dalam aspek representation dan using symbolic, formal and technical language and operation masih tergolong rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan siswa dalam menguasai komponen proses literasi matematika PISA. Penelitian ini merupakan  penelitian deskriptif (Descriptive Research). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX 1 dan IX 2 SMP Negeri 4 Kota Bengkulu semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Instrumen dan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar tes dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, kemampuan proses siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal literasi matematika PISA 2012 sebanyak 45,45% siswa  memiliki kemampuan proses representation dan sebanyak 49,82% siswa  memiliki kemampuan proses using symbolic, formal and technical language and operation. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa kurang dari 50% siswa kelas IX 1 dan IX 2 SMPN 4 Kota Bengkulu memiliki kemampuan representation dan using symbolic, formal and technical language and operation. Oleh karena itu, kemampuan tersebut masih perlu ditingkatkan.
