Abstract

Curriculum 2013 aims to encourage students to think critically in the learning process, but the results of UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) in 2010 showed critical thinking skills in Indonesia is still low. This research aims to produce worksheets and supporting media that can stimulate students critical thinking skills. This type of research is the development of models ASSURE (Analyze Learners, State Objectives, Select methods, media, and materials, Utilize Material, Requires Participation Learners, Evaluate and revise). Test subjects were students of grade IX SMP Negeri 1 Aluh-Aluh. Implementation research is to develop the initial design and media supporting worksheets, reviewed by experts (faculty) and practitioners (junior high science teacher) and tested in grade IX students of SMP Negeri 1 Aluh-Aluh. Data obtained from the test results, observations, questionnaires, and documentations. Data analyzed in descriptive and qualitative. Analysis results of students critical thinking skills after using worksheets and supporting media, there is a very good category 12.5% of students, 59.4% good students, good enough 25% of students, and 3% poor students. Students response to LKS categorized 78.9% good, and the students response to the media at 82.9% well categorized. As conclution the developed worksheet and the media support material of the solar system is able effective to stimulate critical thinking skills of junior high school students.

Abstract

Rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA khususnya fisika dikarenakan kurangnya keterlibatan atau keaktifan siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan meningkatkan hasil belajar melalui model generatif learning. Jenis penelitian ini adalah PTK model Hopkins yang terdiri dari 2 siklus. Data diperoleh melalui THB, observasi, angket, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) keterlaksanaan RPP pada siklus I pertemuan pertama 76,39% (baik), siklus I pertemuan kedua 79,86%     ( baik) dan siklus II 99,47% (sangat baik), (2) ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa secara klasikal siklus I pertemuan pertama 55,56% (tidak tuntas), siklus I pertemuan kedua 58,33% (tidak tuntas), pada siklus II 85,71% (tuntas), (3) miskonsepsi siklus I untuk pertemuan pertama 16,67%, siklus I untuk pertemuan kedua 16,67% dan pada siklus II 14,28%, sebagian siswa sulit menganalisis soal penjelasan dan hitungan, (4) respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran generatif learning, dimana rata-rata attention (perhatian) siswa 72,07% dengan kategori baik, relavace (keterkaitan) siswa 71,37% dengan kategori baik, confidence (keyakinan) siswa sebesar 72,30% dengan kategori baik, dan satisfaction (kepuasan) siswa 72,07% dengan kategori baik. Diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa penerapan model generatif learning efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VII G SMP Negeri 9 Banjarmasin pada pokok bahasan wujud zat dan perubahannya.

Abstract

 The low student’s achievement in physics is supposed because of the lack of variation in teacher learning model used. It has an impact on students social skills. Their skills are lower and  the students tend to be passive. For that reasons the writer conducts this research and aims to improve student learning result through cooperative learning type TPS on the subject of elasticity and Hookes law. The data analysis was used through descriptive, qualitative, and quantitative. The results of this research were: (1) teachers skills in cycle I, II and III respectively 80,11%, 88,07%, and 96,59% are very good category (2) increase students social skills each cycle in good category, (3) completeness student learning results in the classical also increased each cycle respectively 47,06%, 76,47%, and 97,06%, (4) student responses during the learning process is good categorized, for interest of 3,86 while the motivation by 3,94. It appears on result average for every statement in the good category. According to the results, it can be concluded that the student learning result of grade XI IPA 3 MAN 2 Model Banjarmasin at elasticity and Hookes law subject are increasing after the application of cooperative learning model type TPS.

Abstract

Hopkins Model Classroom Action Research as much as 3 cycles are done to improve student learning outcomes. This study describes (1) lesson plan, (2) learning outcomes, (3) social skills, (4) student responses. The results showed (1) lesson plan cycle I 80.00% (good), cycle II 85.00% (very good), and cycle III 91.99% (very good), (2) students mastery first cycle 62.50%, 75.76% second cycle and third cycle of 87.88%, (3) the students social skills first cycle 67.18% (good), cycle II 81.77% (very good), and cycle III 97.91% (very good), (4) the response of students in the learning using TGT type of cooperatif learning in good categori too. Retrieved conclusion that cooperative learning model type TGT can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Rendahnya keterampilan proses sains siswa diduga karena terbatasnya penggunaan LKS dan media yang dapat melatihkan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan pengembangan LKS berbasis inkuiri terbimbing untuk melatihkan keterampilan proses sains siswa dan multimedia pembelajaran pada pokok bahasan kalor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) kelayakan LKS, (2) kelayakan multimedia pembelajaran, (3) keterampilan proses sains siswa ketika menggunakan LKS, (4) respon siswa terhadap LKS, dan (5) respon siswa terhadap multimedia pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan Front-end System Design oleh Bates. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi LKS dan media, lembar pengamatan keterampilan proses sains, dan angket respon. Analisis data menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) LKS berbasis inkuiri terbimbing sangat layak digunakan dengan rata-rata 3,88 dan reliabilitas 96,77%, (2) multimedia pembelajaran sangat layak digunakan dengan rata-rata 3,90 dan reliabilitas 98,22% pada aspek tampilan dan 3,87 dengan realibilitas 97,44% pada aspek pembelajaran, (3) keterampilan proses sains siswa dengan kategori terampil sebesar 77,98%, (4) respon siswa terhadap LKS dengan kategori sangat baik sebesar 85,90, dan (5) respon siswa terhadap media dengan kategori baik sebesar 83,88%. Diperoleh simpulan bahwa LKS dan multimedia pembelajaran yang dikembangkan efektif dapat melatihkan keterampilan proses sains siswa.

Abstract

Low activity of students during the learning is caused by lack of instructional media. It is necessary to develop an insctructional media which is fun to make students active and motivated. The purpose of this research is to produce playing cards and handout which are proper for learning model type make a match to train students activity during the learning. This study is a research and development that used ADDIE (analysis, design, develop, implement, evaluate) as a development model. The subject of this research is students at seventh grade of SMPN 24 Banjarmasin. The instrument of collecting data are the sheet of validity media, activity assessment instrument, and questionnaire responses. The result of this research shows that (1) the playing cards developed is valid used as instructional media for learning model type make a match by a little revision, (2) handout which is developed is valid used as instructional media by a little revision, (3) the average of students activity in every meeting include visual, verbal, motor and emotional aspect give activity level of very active, (4) students give excellent response to the quality aspects of media, the influences of media and studying acting and also a good respons to the material.

Abstract

The low of student learning outcomes in learning physics, because learning process tense, students interest to learning in science is low yet. It is necessary for research that aims to describe the effectiveness of the quantum teaching-learning development to improving student learning outcomes. The aim, in particular, are described: (1) the feasibility of the device, (2) implemented RPP, (3) student activities, (4) student learning outcomes, and (5) the students interest. Learning refers to the development using of Dick & Carey model. Data collection techniques used observation, achievement test, and questionnaire. Data obtained by descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The results showed: (1) a device in the effective category to be used, (2) implemented RPP at a meeting I, II, III are goods category, (3) each meeting student activity are increased in the excellent category, (4) increase every classical completeness meeting with percentages respectively 71.18%, 81.25% and 84.37%, (5) the students interest towards learning well categorized. The retrieved conclusion that the effectiveness of the quantum teaching-learning teaching materials elasticity in the effective category.

Abstract

The purpose of education in Indonesia is creating someone who is not only qualified but also has character. This is consistent with the base conceptual of the curriculum 2013which based on competency and character. To support this research was conducted to develop teaching material based character education that specifically aimed to: (1) describe the validity of developed teaching material, (2) describe the achievement of students on the desired character, and (3) describe the response of students to the developed teaching material. This research is a research and development which is referred to the model of learning development Kemp. The subject of this research are 32 students of VII D class in Junior High School 31 Banjarmasin. Data is collected using the result of pretest, validity paper of teaching-learning, observation paper for the character, and student’s response questionnaire. The teaching material on the thermal expansion based character education is valid with little revision and can made the students achieve the desired character and also got the positive response by students with the category is very well. This case be brace that the teaching material developed able to support the implementation of curriculum 2013, which is curriculum based character and competency.

Abstract

Kurangnya motivasi belajar siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar yang disebabkan karena pembelajaran yang membosankan tanpa adanya variasi penggunaan model pembelajaran mendorong peneliti untuk melakukan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan model cooperative learning tipe TPS dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada pokok bahasan listrik dinamis. Hasil penelitian  menunjukkan bahwa persentase keterlaksanaan RPP pada siklus I sebesar 73,5%, siklus II sebesar 88%, dan siklus III sebesar 93,5%, ini berarti secara keseluruhan untuk pengelolaan kelas dalam KBM tergolong sangat baik. Motivasi belajar siswa pada siklus I , siklus II, dan siklus III meningkat dan berada pada kategori baik dan sangat baik. Ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa meningkat dari siklus I sebesar 66,67% menjadi 83,33% pada siklus II dan meningkat lagi menjadi 90% pada siklus III. Keterampilan sosial siswa yang teramati pada siklus I semua berada pada kategori kurang baik. Pada siklus II dan III keterampilan sosial siswa dalam kategori baik. Respon siswa berada pada kategori baik dan sangat baik. Diperoleh simpulan bahwa model cooperative learning tipe TPS dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa Kelas X-4 SMA Negeri 12 Banjarmasin.

Abstract

Lack of student learning outcomes in science subjects especially physics due to the lack of involvement or the involvement of the student during the learning process. Therefore, research aimed at improving learning outcomes through learning generative models with the contextual approach. The specific objectives of the study to describe: (1) lesson plan implementation, (2) student learning outcomes, (3) student misconceptions, (4) students response to learning generative models with the contextual approach. This research is a model TOD Hopkins consisting of three cycles. The results showed an increase (1) in the first cycle lesson plan implementation meeting 1sebesar 87% (good), the first cycle of meetings 2 by 81% (good), the second cycle is 95% (very good), the third cycle of 96.00% ( very good), (2) mastery learning outcomes of students in the classical cycle I encounter 1sebesar 54.05% (not finished), I cycle 2 meeting at 81.57% (complete), on the second cycle of 83.78% (complete) and the third cycle of 86.48% (complete), (3) misconceptions cycle I for one meeting at 27.02%, the first cycle for the meeting 2 at 52.26%, on the second cycle of 18.91%, and cycle III amounted to 13.51%, most students are difficult to analyze sums and examples, (4) students response to generative learning contextual learning approach, where the average attention (attention) amounted to 79.31% of students with a category quite well, relavace (linkage ) amounted to 77.93% of students with good category, confidence (confidence) of 71.60% of students with both categories, and satisfaction (satisfaction) for 74.13% of students with either category. Retrieved conclusion that through learning generative models with the contextual approach to improving student learning outcomes of class VII H SMP Negeri 9 Banjarmasin on the subject of heat.
