Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the principal's efforts to prevent student deviant behavior at SMP Negeri 11 in Gorontalo City and identify the triggering factors. The study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with the principal as the key informant, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman interactive model through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the principal implemented a multidimensional approach through discipline enforcement, character development based on religious activities and positive habits, and strengthening collective supervision within the school environment. Student deviant behavior is influenced by internal factors such as low self-control and adolescent psychological conditions, as well as external factors such as family environment, peer influence, and weak school social control. This study concludes that preventing deviant behavior requires a holistic and collaborative approach, with the principal as the primary driver in building a conducive and character-based school culture. The primary contribution of this study is emphasizing the principal's role as an integrator of policies, value reinforcement, and school culture in creating an educational environment that supports the development of positive student behavior.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to analyze the strengthening of student character through the value of Huyula local wisdom that emphasizes the spirit of gotong royong at elementary school 21 Telaga Biru, Gorontalo. Methodology: The method used was qualitative case study with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and document analysis, involving teachers, principals, parents, and traditional leaders. Main Findings: The results showed that huyula values are applied in thematic learning, extracurricular activities, and student social interactions, and form attitudes of empathy, tolerance, and responsibility. However, implementation is still constrained by low teacher understanding, exclusivity of student friendships, and minimal participation. Teacher training and strengthening learning methods that encourage active participation and inclusive interactions are needed. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this study is that it reveals how Huyula's local wisdom values are not only taught as theory, but actually applied in daily life in elementary schools. This research shows that if local cultural values are incorporated into students' learning and activities, then character education can be built more strongly and relevant to the environment where children grow up

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to analyze the use of local wisdom as a means of constructing the character of responsibility of elementary school students and the factors that hinder these efforts. Methodology: Using descriptive qualitative methods, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies from various sources such as teachers, principals, parents, Karawo craftsmen, as well as traditional leaders, with purposive sampling techniques and data validity was maintained through triangulation of sources, techniques, and time. Main Findings: The research findings show that Karawo local wisdom is able to construct students' responsibility character through a learning process that emphasizes perseverance, thoroughness, and commitment in completing tasks. These values are integrated in various subjects, so students learn responsibility contextually and thoroughly. Embroidery activities encourage students to be disciplined, thorough, and consistent, while fostering a sense of responsibility for the preservation of local culture that they inherit and are proud of. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this study lies in the utilization of Karawo as a medium of character education. So far, Karawo has been seen more as an economic source, it has not been maximally utilized in the realm of education, especially for student character building

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan penguatan karakter disiplin melalui Program Tujuh Kebiasaan Anak Indonesia Hebat (7KAIH) serta faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi pelaksanaannya di SDN 06 dan SDN 09 Buntulia, Kecamatan Buntulia, Kabupaten Pohuwato. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kedisiplinan peserta didik, seperti keterlambatan, kurangnya tanggung jawab terhadap tugas, dan pelanggaran tata tertib sekolah. Program 7KAIH dipandang sebagai strategi pembiasaan positif dalam membentuk karakter disiplin peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sumber data terdiri atas kepala sekolah, guru, peserta didik, dan orang tua. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles, Huberman, dan Saldana melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data dilakukan dengan triangulasi sumber, metode, dan teori. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan program 7KAIH telah terintegrasi dalam kegiatan sehari-hari di sekolah melalui kebiasaan bangun pagi, beribadah, berolahraga, makan sehat dan bergizi, gemar belajar, bermasyarakat, dan tidur cepat. Program ini mampu membentuk karakter disiplin peserta didik dalam aspek ketepatan waktu, tanggung jawab, kepatuhan terhadap aturan, dan pengendalian diri. Faktor yang memengaruhi pelaksanaan program meliputi kesadaran siswa, perhatian orang tua, dan lingkungan sekolah maupun keluarga.

Abstract

Rendahnya minat belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila menjadi permasalahan yang dihadapi di kelas VIII-C SMP Negeri 13 Gorontalo. Dominasi metode pembelajaran konvensional yang bersifat satu arah menyebabkan siswa cenderung merasa pasif, mudah bosan, dan kurang bersemangat selama proses belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa melalui penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran interaktif. Penelitian menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII-C yang berjumlah 21 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, angket minat belajar, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Pendekatan pembelajaran interaktif diterapkan melalui diskusi kelompok, lembar kerja peserta didik, presentasi, dan penggunaan media digital berupa kuis interaktif berbasis platform Wayground. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan pada tiga aspek utama. Aktivitas guru meningkat dari 80,9 persen pada Siklus I menjadi 95 persen pada Siklus II. Aktivitas siswa meningkat dari 71,4 persen pada Siklus I menjadi 85,7 persen pada Siklus II. Minat belajar siswa meningkat secara signifikan dari 65,7 persen pada Siklus I menjadi 95,2 persen pada Siklus II. Seluruh indikator keberhasilan penelitian telah tercapai dan melampaui target minimal 75 persen. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan pembelajaran interaktif terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila di SMP Negeri 13 Gorontalo.
