Abstract

Persoalan pendidikan menjadi salah satu persoalan utama di Desa Mira, Pulau Morotai. Pendidikan di Desa Mira masih tertinggal jauh dengan pendidikan di desa-desa lain yang ada di pusat kota. Hal itu dikarenakan jarak antara Desa Mira dengan pusat kota lumayan jauh sekitar ± 42 kilometer, sehingga akses pendidikan terbatas. Salah satu penyebab ketertinggalan pendidikan di Desa Mira yaitu karena tidak terdapat satu pun perpustakaan di sekolah-sekolah desa tersebut. Selain permasalahan pendidikan, di Desa Mira terdapat beberapa kasus pernikahan dini. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah kurangnya pemahaman untuk melanjutkan pendidikan ke tingkat lebih tinggi yaitu merasakan bangku kuliah di kota. Dari segi seni dan budaya, desa ini memiliki seni yang beragam misalnya kerajinan tangan (susiru, tikar, dll). Solusi yang ditawarkan adalah program segitiga (Seni, Ekonomi, Literasi, Teknologi dan Agama). Pusat kegiatan program segitiga berupa tempat atau ruang yang terbuka yang dapat dimanfaatkan pelaksanaan berbagai kegiatan yaitu pengajaran baca tulis, pengajaran matematika, pelatihan susiru, pelatihan konten video, perlombaan pentas malam seni, budaya dan agama. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah adanya perubahan fisik berupa pojok baca. Selain itu adanya publikasi media masa dan media elektronik. Keberlanjutan program Segitiga dengan melakukan penunjukan pengurus di tahun berikutnya.

Abstract

The objective of this article is to offer a general overview of how face-to-face learning can be utilized in the context of the new normal era and to identify potential learning models that teachers can employ in addressing educational challenges within this era. In the process of developing this article, a literature review method was employed. The data collection process included a comprehensive review of various references from national and international journals that are pertinent to the subject matter under discussion. Upon conducting thorough research, the author will then select, analyze, and present results in a systematic manner. The learning model represents a significant element within the context of learning. As an individual occupying a pivotal role in the learning process, the teacher is responsible for applying an optimal learning model to ensure the successful attainment of learning objectives. A selection of models that can be utilized for learning within the new normal era includes: Three learning models are worthy of mention: Blended Learning, Flipped Classroom, and Hybrid Learning. In applying any of the aforementioned models to the learning process, it is important to consider the specific characteristics of each learner and the abilities of the instructor.

Abstract

Abstract. Mira Village is famous for its strong culture. The culture of Mira Village is the result of inheritance from ancestors, such as marriage culture, celebrations and handicrafts. The craftsmen in Mira Village produce a variety of crafts that are culturally valuable and also authentically typical of North Maluku. One of them is a typical North Maluku handicraft made from bamboo, namely susuru. Based on the importance of preserving local culture and the need for suriu craftsmen which are becoming increasingly scarce, training activities for making susiru handicrafts were initiated by Khairun University. This activity received funding from the Ministry of Education and Culture for Community Service in 2023 through the Community Empowerment by Students (PMM) scheme. The training will be held in August 2023 in 5 meetings. The initial activity location was at the Mira Village hall and the next meeting was at the residents' homes. The target of this activity is Mira Village housewives. The aim of this activity is to provide basic training in making susiru so that it is hoped that public interest can increase and increase the number of susiru craftsmen in Mira Village. The result of this activity is an increase in community understanding and skills. After this activity was completed, there were 5 craftsmen who were active in making susuru handicrafts.Abstrak. Desa Mira terkenal dengan budaya yang kental. Budaya Desa Mira merupakan hasil warisan dari nenek moyang seperti budaya perkawinan, hajatan sampai dengan kerajinan tangan. Para pengrajin di Desa Mira menghasilkan beragam kerajinan yang bernilai budaya dan juga otentik khas Maluku Utara. Salah satunya adalah kerajinan tangan khas Maluku Utara yang terbuat dari bambu yaitu susiru. Berdasarkan pentingnya melestarikan budaya lokal dan kebutuhan dari pengrajin suriu yang semakin hari semakin sedikit, maka kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan kerajinan tangan susiru diinisiasi oleh Universitas Khairun. Kegiatan ini memperoleh pendanaan Kemdikbudristek Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat tahun 2023 melalui skim Pemberdayaan Masyarakat oleh Mahasiswa (PMM). Pelatihan dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus 2023 sebanyak 5 kali pertemuan. Tempat kegiatan perdana di balai Desa Mira dan pertemuan berikutnya di rumah warga. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah ibu- ibu rumah tangga Desa Mira. Tujuan dilaksanakan kegiatan ini adalah memberikan pelatihan dasar pembuatan susiru sehingga diharapkan ketertarikan masyarakat dapat meningkat dan menambah pengrajin susiru di Desa Mira. Hasil kegiatan berdasarkan hasil evaluasi adalah adalah pemahaman dan skill yang meningkat. Setelah kegiatan ini selesai, ada 5 pengrajin yang aktif membuat kerajinan tangan susiru.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the evaluation and supervision of the learning process as an effort to increase teacher professionalism in schools. The method used is a qualitative research method with a type of field research. The research locations in this study were MA Darul Hikmah Jember, MA Fatihul Ulum Al Mahfudz, MAN 1 Jember, and MAN 2 Jember. The findings in this study are that, in general, the implementation of academic supervision at MA Darul Hikmah Jember, MA Fatihul Ulum Al Mahfudz, MAN 1 Jember, and MAN 2 Jember has been going well. School supervisors have an adequate understanding of academic supervision and can carry out their supervisory duties and functions properly. Second, there are still limitations in the aspects targeted for academic supervision by Madrasah supervisors at MA Darul Hikmah Jember, MA Fatihul Ulum Al Mahfudz. Not all aspects of academic supervision are the focus of school supervisors. Whereas in MAN 1 Jember and MAN 2 Jember, all aspects have been carried out by the madrasa supervisor. Supervised aspects include lesson planning, teaching and learning implementation, class management, and follow-up on learning outcomes. Third, Madrasa supervisors have developed various academic supervision techniques that are quite varied at MA Darul Hikmah Jember, MA Fatihul Ulum Al Mahfudz, MAN 1 Jember, and MAN 2 Jember. The techniques used include individual supervision, such as class visits, observations, and individual meetings; group supervision, such as teacher meetings/supervision meetings, committees, and group work, as in the MGMP. The approaches used in supervision activities include the official, partner, and family approaches.

Abstract

Capture fisheries are inherently risky considering the resources used are shared, open management, and dependent on weather, seasons, migration patterns, and fish characteristics. This uncertainty can cause income fluctuations both in terms of time and quantity, which have a significant impact on the quality of life of fishing communities, including in the research location. With this background, research related to the analysis of factors that influence the income of tuna fishermen is very important. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with a snowball sampling technique totaling 11 people. The data collection instrument uses observation sheets, documentation and open interviews as primary data sources in this study. Based on the results of research conducted by researchers in Galala Village, it was found that in sequence the most influential factors were fishermen's working capital, followed by fuel oil, tuna prices, fishermen's labor, fishermen's work experience on their income. Weather factors, fish prices, tend to fluctuate so that it is difficult to predict the catch that fishermen will get after going to sea. However, other factors can be managed well through investment in operational costs and adequate fishing equipment by the government so that the volume of catch increases.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan Literacy, Orientation, Collaboration, Reflection (LOC-R) terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMPN 7 Kota Ternate dan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMPN 7 Kota Ternate dengan menggunakan pendekatan Literacy, Orientation, Collaboration, Reflection (LOK-R). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode pre-experimental design, jenis One-Shot Case Study. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 32 siswa kelas VIIIC dengan menggunakan teknik convenience sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes hasil belajar siswa dan lembar observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan One sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan pembelajaran LOCR efektif terhadap hasil belajar siswa, hal ini terlihat dari nilai Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,011, 0,05 maka H0 ditolak, sehingga rata-rata hasil belajar siswa lebih besar dari 75. Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada topik geografi berada pada kategori sangat baik sebesar 31%, baik 56%.

Abstract

Minat belajar memiliki pengaruh yang sangat besar dalam proses pembelajaran. Dengan adanya minat, semangat belajar siswa cenderung meningkat, sehingga dapat berdampak positif pada hasil belajar mereka. Sebaliknya, jika seorang siswa tidak memiliki minat terhadap suatu mata pelajaran, mereka cenderung tidak termotivasi untuk belajar dengan baik. Akibatnya, siswa mungkin merasa bosan dan kurang terlibat dalam pembelajaran. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh minat belajar terhadap hasil belajar Kosmografi. Jenis penelitian yaitu ex post facto dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Geografi yang mengontrak matakuliah kosmografi dengan sampel penelitian berjumlah 29 orang. Pengambilan data dengan menggunakan angket dan Hasil tes UAS. Hasil Penelitian diperoleh persamaan Ŷ=0,074+59,669x berarti bahwa setiap kenaikan satu unit variable minat belajar akan menyebabkan peningkatan pada hasil belajar sebesar 59,669 unit. Kekuatan pengaruh dari minat belajar terhadap hasil belajar juga ditunjukkan dengan hasil perhitungan koefisien jalur sebesar 2,8% yang berkategori rendah. Hal ini berarti minat belajar mahasiswa memberi kontribusi sebesar 2,8% terhadap hasil belajar cosmografi, sedangkan 97,2% hasil belajar matematika dipengaruhi faktor-faktor lain. Perlu adanya penelitian lanjutan untuk mengetahui factor apa saja yang dapat mempengaruhi hasil belajar mahasiswa program studi pendidikan geografi selain minat belajar.Learning interest has a huge influence on the learning process. With interest, students' enthusiasm for learning tends to increase, so it can have a positive impact on their learning outcomes. Conversely, if a student has no interest in a subject, they are less likely to be motivated to learn well. As a result, students may feel bored and less engaged in learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of learning interest on Cosmography learning outcomes. The type of research is ex post facto with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were Geography Education Study Program students who contracted cosmography courses with a research sample of 29 people. Data collection using questionnaires and UAS test results. The results of the study obtained the equation Ŷ = 0.074 + 59.669x means that each increase of one unit of learning interest variable will cause an increase in learning outcomes by 59.669 units. The strength of the influence of learning interest on learning outcomes is also indicated by the results of the calculation of the path coefficient of 2.8% which is categorized as low. This means that student learning interest contributes 2.8% to cosmography learning outcomes, while 97.2% of math learning outcomes are influenced by other factors. Further research is needed to find out what factors can affect the learning outcomes of students of geography education study programs other than learning interes.

Abstract

This community service aims to instill awareness of the importance of protecting the environment in grade 5 students of SD Islamiyah 1 Ternate City through plastic waste recycling activities. This activity involves providing material on waste management, waste sorting practices, and making accessories from plastic waste. The results showed a significant increase in students' knowledge about waste and their skills in recycling. Students enthusiastically participated in the activities and succeeded in creating valuable products from waste that was previously considered useless. This not only increases students' knowledge and skills, but also fosters an attitude of caring for the environment. This activity is in line with the independent learning curriculum which emphasizes character development and student independence. By integrating waste management into the curriculum, schools can create a learning environment that supports environmentally friendly living habits. As with the goals of the SDGs, namely quality education, responsible consumption and production, and action against climate change. Overall, this study succeeded in instilling a spirit of love for the environment in students from an early age. This activity is not only beneficial for students, but also contributes to environmental conservation efforts. Through this activity, it is hoped that students can become agents of change and invite the surrounding environment to participate in preserving the environment.

Abstract

The lack of use of learning models makes teaching and learning activities less effective and interesting. The lecture learning model commonly used by teachers in teaching and learning activities is often considered boring by students and student learning activities are low. The purpose of this study was to determine the activities of students with the application of the Literacy, Orientation, Collaboration and Reflection Learning Model (LOC-R) at SMP Negeri 7 Ternate City. The research method is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The research sample was VIIc SMP Negeri 7 Ternate City. The number of samples selected was 35 students consisting of 23 girls and 12 boys. The sample in this study was class VIIc students, the sample was selected by purposive sampling by taking into account the characteristics of students. Collecting data using observation sheets and study documentation. Analysis of the data used is the percentage formula with categorization criteria. The results obtained by student activities at the appreciative stage were 79.9%, literacy stage was 82.8%, orientation stage was 88.4%, collaboration stage was 85.4% and reflection stage was 94.4%. Student learning activities using the LOC-R learning model are very effectively implemented in the classroom

Abstract

An engaging, enjoyable, and comfortable learning method is presented in this study. A research method emphasizing literature reviews of scholarly books and journals was used in this study. For teachers seeking to improve instructional methods in elementary schools, the results of this study can be a valuable resource. This research identifies methods, characteristics, and factors that can optimize students' ability to learn and motivate, resulting in a fun, comfortable, and enjoyable learning experience. Through the consideration of individual differences in the classroom and the school, it is hoped that this research will increase the learning motivation of students. The study demonstrates the importance of the role of the teacher in using effective learning techniques so that students can develop their potential in a comfortable and pleasant learning environment. The purpose of this research is to identify the teacher's role in enhancing students' learning activities through the use of engaging teaching methods and learning principles. Schools should provide a comfortable learning environment where students can explore new, life-relevant ideas.
