Abstract

This research aims to gain knowledge regarding the influence of teacher readiness in implementing the Merdeka curriculum and parental support on student learning outcomes in class VIII social science subjects at Taman Siswa Pematang Siantar Private Middle School. This type of research is quantitative research with a quantitative descriptive data analysis approach with the testing media used is SPSS 21. The population in this study was 76 people, and the sample used was 76 people. The sample collection technique used was a saturated sample. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire. The hypothesis data collection technique uses multiple regression analysis and the coefficient of determination (R2).The results of this research state that: 1) there is a positive influence of teacher readiness on student learning outcomes. This result can be seen in the t test where the t value of teacher readiness (3.270) > t table value (1.993). 2) there is a positive and significant influence of parental support on student learning outcomes. This result can be seen in the t test where the t value of parental support (2.942) > t table value (1.993) which means this variable is significant. 3) parents' income and social style jointly influence financial behavior. This result can be seen in the F test where the Fcount value (8.730) > Ftable value (3.12). The R Square coefficient of determination test was found to be 0.493, which means that 49.3% of the variables of teacher readiness and parental support had an influence on learning outcomes and 86% was the influence of other variables not examined in this research.

The total population in this study was 76 people, and the sample used was 76 people. The sampling technique used was a saturated sample. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire. The hypothesis data collection technique uses multiple regression analysis and the coefficient of determination (R2).The research results state that: 1) there is a positive influence of interest in learning on student achievement. This result can be seen in the t test where the t value of interest in learning (3.289) > t table value (1.665). 2) there is a positive and significant influence of learning motivation on student achievement. This result can be seen in the t-test for learning motivation (4.446) > t table value (1.665) which means the variable is significant. 3) interest in learning and motivation to learn together influence student achievement. This result can be seen in the F test where the fcount value (37.625) > ftable value (31.221). The R Square coefficient of determination test was found to be 33.53, which means that 33.5% of the variables of interest in learning and motivation to learn have an influence on the achievement of class VIII students in Taman Siswa for the 2023/2024 academic year and 66.47% is the influence of the variables. others not examined in this research.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of learning independence and learning motivation on the learning outcomes of grade XI students in economic subjects at Tamansiswa Pematangsiantar Private High School. The variables in this study are learning independence and learning motivation as independent variables and learning outcomes as the dependent variable. This type of research is quantitative research, with a population of all XI social studies students at Tamansiswa Pematangsiantar Private High School and a research sample of XI social studies students of Tamansiswa Pematangsiantar Private High School consisting of 96 students selected using simple random sampling (slovin formula). Data collection techniques using instruments: (1) learning independence questionnaire, (2) learning motivation questionnaire, and (3) learning outcomes in the form of even semester T.A 2023/2024 UTS scores. The results of this study indicate that: (1) there is a positive and significant effect of learning independence on learning outcomes, this result can be seen in the t test where the tcount value of learning independence (2.377)> ttable value (1.985802) which means that the variable is significant. (2) There is a positive and significant effect of learning motivation on learning outcomes, this can be seen in the t test where the tcount value of learning motivation (2.098)> ttable value (1.985802) which means that the variable is significant. (3) Learning independence and learning motivation together affect learning outcomes, this result can be seen in the F test where the Fcount value (5.569)> Ftable value (3.094337). The R Square coefficient of determination test is known to be 0.107, which means that 10.7% of the learning independence and learning motivation variables affect student learning outcomes at the Tamansiswa Pematangsiantar Private High School, and the remaining 80.3% is the influence of variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of educational financial assistance (KIP-Kuliah) on the Grade Point Average (GPA) of students at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas HKBP Nommensen Pematangsiantar. The research applied a quantitative approach with a causal associative design. The population consisted of 135 students receiving KIP-Kuliah assistance, and all were selected as the sample using the total sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation and analyzed using validity and reliability tests, simple linear regression analysis, t-test, and coefficient of determination analysis. The results showed that the research instrument was reliable with a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.966. The regression analysis produced the equation (Y = 1.962 + 0.016X ), indicating a positive relationship between educational financial assistance and students’ GPA. The t-test result showed that the calculated t-value was higher than the t-table value (13.552 > 1.656) with a significance level of 0.001 < 0.05. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.580, meaning that educational financial assistance contributed 58% to students’ academic achievement. Therefore, educational financial assistance (KIP-Kuliah) has a positive and significant effect on students’ GPA. Keywords: KIP-Kuliah, educational financial assistance, student financial aid, academic achievement, higher education
