Abstract

Sarapan merupakan salah satu waktu makan yang penting, terutama bagi mahasiswa yang menjalani aktivitas akademik dan sosial yang padat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi kebiasaan sarapan di kalangan mahasiswa serta pengaruhnya terhadap kesehatan dan produktivitas mahasiswa. Dengan menggunakan metode survei, data dikumpulkan dari beberapa mahasiswa di universitas Haluoleo untuk menganalisis pengetahuan mahasiswa tentang pentingnya sarapan, kendala yang mereka rasakan sehingga tidak sarapan, dan pengaruh terhadap produktivitas mereka. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa meskipun sebagian besar mahasiswa menyadari pentingnya sarapan, banyak dari mereka yang melewatkan waktu makan ini karena keterbatasan waktu, kesibukan, atau pilihan makanan yang tidak sehat. Menu sarapan yang umum terdiri dari karbohidrat sederhana dan kurang mengandung protein serta serat, yang dapat mempengaruhi energi dan konsentrasi selama kegiatan belajar. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan menu sarapan simple dan sehat melalui media sosial dengan cara memposting video pembuatan sarapan sehat dan nilai gizi yang di peroleh untuk meningkatkan kesadaran tentang pentingnya sarapan yang seimbang, serta menyediakan beberapa pilihan menu yang lebih sehat yang mudah dibuat. Dengan demikian, diharapkan mahasiswa dapat meningkatkan kesehatan dan kinerja akademik mereka melalui kebiasaan sarapan yang lebih baik.

Abstract

Breakfast plays a significant role in enhancing the academic performance of students, as it can affect concentration, memory, and mental health. Research shows that students who regularly have breakfast tend to have better levels of concentration and memory compared to those who skip breakfast, as well as experiencing lower levels of stress and anxiety. Education about the importance of a healthy breakfast is key to raising student awareness, and the use of educational media such as videos has proven effective in conveying information and motivating behavioral changes. Therefore, educational institutions are advised to provide healthy breakfast facilities and implement ongoing educational programs to support students in adopting good breakfast habits to improve their academic performance.

Abstract

Dengue fever is a disease that kills a lot of people and attacks the community, so it's important to pay attention to this intense outbreak. Different endeavors have been made to defeat this episode, yet there are as many individuals who don't know about the dangers. Aromatherapy candles are one option for repelling mosquitoes. Aromatherapy candles can be made from the abundant lemongrass that grows in the yard. Aromatherapy candles with lemongrass in them repel mosquitoes and can help alleviate stress. This act of community service involves teaching members of the community, particularly cadres in Puasana village, about the dangers of dengue fever and how to get it. In addition to counseling, instructions were given on how to make aromatherapy candles. In this way, people will learn more about the dangers of dengue fever and how living plants can be turned into valuable objects

Abstract

Campaign The purpose of the "Love the Earth and Yourself, by Bringing Your Own Lunchbox" campaign is to educate students about the dangers of using plastic as food containers and to encourage the use of non-plastic food containers among students. An initial survey was conducted to obtain information on the pattern of single-use plastic use among students with a questionnaire developed using the Health Belief Model (HBM) theory approach. The campaign developed educational posters and appointed anti-single-use plastic ambassadors. Through this initiative, it is hoped that Halu Oleo University can become a pioneer in the movement to reduce plastic usage and create a more sustainable campus environment

Abstract

Introduction: Introduction: Climate change has significant impacts on human health and has the potential to trigger the emergence of various diseases by changing temperature, rainfall, wind patterns, and sunlight exposure. These changes create environmental conditions that support the survival, reproduction, and spread of disease-causing agents, such as viruses and bacteria. Adaptation of disease agents to these changes increases the risk of disease spreading in the community. In addition, climate change also expands the range of some disease agents, which were previously limited to certain areas, thus having a wider impact. Low temperatures (10–25°C), high humidity (?70%), and limited sunlight (UV index <6) promote the environmental persistence of the monkeypox virus, whereas high temperatures (>30°C) and UV exposure (290–320 nm) accelerate its degradation, influencing transmission patterns and infection risk in humans and animals. Methods: This study examines the climate conditions that may support the development of monkeypox in Jakarta. The main focus of this study is to identify climate factors, such as temperature, humidity, and rainfall patterns, that allow the spread of monkeypox virus. Climate data are analyzed to understand how these conditions play a role in increasing the risk of monkeypox virus transmission, both from animals to humans and between humans. Results: Our findings indicate a minimum temperature of 27.96°C, a maximum of 33.74°C, and an average of 30.11°C. The average humidity was 74.21%. The duration of sunlight ranged from a minimum of 7.30 hours to a maximum of 9.60 hours. Conclusion: Climate factors are key triggers in the development of Monkeypox within the environment. Specific temperature and humidity levels can create favorable conditions for the spread of the Monkeypox virus in certain regions. Additionally, extreme climate fluctuations may influence the spread patterns and severity of the disease, underscoring the importance of understanding how environmental conditions affect the transmission of diseases like Monkeypox.

Abstract

Eating a variety of foods is very important to prevent nutritional deficiencies, especially micronutrients. Low dietary diversity results in vulnerability to nutritional deficiencies. Malnutrition in pregnancy can adversely affect the mother and fetus. This study aims to evaluate the adequacy of dietary diversity and food group consumption patterns of pregnant women in the Lambai Health Centre working area. This type of research is a descriptive study with a cross-sectional design. This study was conducted from November to December 2024 in the working area of Lambai Health Centre, Lambai District, North Kolaka. The sampling technique in this study used total sampling so that the sample size was 47 pregnant women. The level of dietary diversity was evaluated using the Minimum Dietary Diversity for Women (MDD-W) with the criteria of consuming at least five food groups categorized as adequate. The results showed that the majority of pregnant women met the MDD-W criteria (93.6%), and only 6.4% had inadequate dietary diversity. The most consumed food groups were staple foods (100%), namely carbohydrate sources of cereals, tubers, and bananas, meat (95.7%), and green leafy vegetables (93.6%). However, there was no consumption of nuts and seeds. This suggests the need for nutrition education regarding the importance of food variety to support adequate micronutrients during pregnancy.

Abstract

Previous studies on digital addiction in children have predominantly focused on urban or digitally advanced regions, leaving a gap in understanding how digital behaviors manifest in rural contexts, especially among elementary-aged children. This study aims to describe the level of digital addiction, including screen time and game addiction, among elementary school children in a rural area of Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia. A descriptive cross-sectional design was applied involving 50 students from State Elementary School 2 Wakorumba Selatan, selected through proportional random sampling. Data were collected using a screen time questionnaire and the Game Online Addiction Scale, then analyzed univariately using SPSS. The results revealed that 54% of children had daily screen time exceeding three hours and 66% were classified as addicted to games. Notably, digital addiction was more prevalent among children over nine years old and among girls. Despite limited personal gadget ownership, many children still accessed digital content, with a recurring habit of playing games before bedtime. These findings highlight the urgent need for targeted digital literacy programs and parental guidance in rural communities. This study contributes to public health by offering evidence to inform community-based interventions and educational policies aimed at preventing digital addiction and promoting healthy digital behaviors among children

Abstract

Produktivitas kerja tenaga kerja pada dasarnya dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, baik yang berhubungan dengan tenaga kerja itu sendiri maupun faktor lain diluar tenaga kerja yang mempengaruhi produktivitas kerja seseorang. Dinas Pemadam Kebakaran Kota Kendari memiliki keseluruhan tenaga kerja sebanyak 239 orang, PNS (Pegawai Negri Sipil) berjumlah 50 orang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan status gizi dan masa kerja produktivitas kerja karyawan di Dinas Pemadam Kebakaran dan Penyelamatan (DPKP) Kota Kendari. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Desain Cross Sectional merupakan suatu penelitian untuk mempelajari dinamika korelasi antara faktor-faktor resiko dengan efek, dengan cara pendekatan, observasi atau pengumpulan data sekaligus pada suatu saat (point time approach). Hasil uji chi square  diperoleh nilai p value=1.571 (p>0.05) yang berarti tidak ada hubungaan antara status gizi dan produktivitas kerja dan hasil uji chi square  diperoleh nilai p value=18.055 (p>0.05) yang berarti tidak ada hubungaan antara masa kerja dan produktivitas kerja karyawan di Dinas Pemadam Kebakaran  dan Penyelamatan (DPKP) Kota Kendari. Kesimpulan penelitian bahwa tidak ada hubungan status gizi dan masa kerja dengan produktivitas kerja.

Abstract

Air susu ibu (ASI) dan makanan pendamping ASI (MP-ASI) merupakan komponen penting dalam pemenuhan gizi bayi, terutama pada enam bulan pertama kehidupan. Namun, pada ibu hamil usia muda, pemahaman dan praktik pemberian ASI dan MP-ASI masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan, khususnya di daerah dengan angka pernikahan dini yang tinggi seperti Kabupaten Buton Utara. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi pandangan dan rencana ibu hamil usia muda terkait ASI eksklusif dan MP-ASI dalam konteks sosial budaya lokal. Jenis penelitian adalah kualitatif dengan desain fenomenologis yang melibatkan sepuluh ibu hamil berusia 19–22 tahun di Kecamatan Kulisusu yang diwawancarai secara mendalam menggunakan panduan semi-terstruktur. Analisis data dilakukan dengan pendekatan tematik dan in-vivo coding. Hasil menunjukkan lima tema utama: pemahaman yang beragam tentang ASI eksklusif dengan miskonsepsi umum, rencana pemberian ASI yang bervariasi, pengaruh kuat kebiasaan masyarakat terhadap praktik menyusui campuran, perencanaan MP-ASI yang lebih dipengaruhi faktor kepraktisan daripada pemahaman gizi, serta keterbatasan akses informasi formal dan dominasi sumber informal. Diperlukan intervensi edukatif yang kontekstual, penguatan kapasitas tenaga kesehatan, dan pendekatan berbasis komunitas serta norma sosial untuk meningkatkan literasi dan praktik pemberian makan bayi.

Abstract

Tuberkulosis (TBC) merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang masih menjadi perhatian, dengan status gizi sebagai faktor yang berkontribusi terhadap kerentanan terhadap infeksi. Edukasi gizi yang tepat dapat berperan sebagai strategi promotif dan preventif dalam upaya penanggulangan TBC. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat mengenai pentingnya gizi seimbang dalam pencegahan TBC melalui media infografis edukatif. Kegiatan edukasi dilakukan melalui tiga tahap, yaitu: penyusunan materi berbasis referensi ilmiah, perancangan infografis menggunakan aplikasi Canva, serta diseminasi melalui media sosial (Instagram dan TikTok) dan ruang publik di lingkungan kampus. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui survei daring terhadap 61 responden. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa seluruh responden (100%) menilai infografis menarik dan mudah dipahami, sementara 65,6% responden mengaku memperoleh pengetahuan baru mengenai hubungan antara gizi dan TBC. Infografis yang disebarkan melalui Instagram menunjukkan jangkauan dan interaksi audiens yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan TikTok. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa media visual dan digital efektif digunakan dalam edukasi gizi serta berpotensi meningkatkan literasi kesehatan masyarakat. Strategi ini dapat dikembangkan lebih lanjut sebagai pendekatan preventif dalam upaya pengendalian TBC.
