Abstract

This study examines the influence of good corporate governance, tax planning, and financial pressure on earnings management in State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) in Indonesia, with internal control as an intervening variable. This study is motivated by the limited research integrating the role of internal Control in the relationship between governance mechanisms and earnings management, particularly in the context of SOEs. The study sample consisted of 20 SOEs listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2018–2023 period, yielding 120 company-year observations selected via purposive sampling. Data analysis was performed using a random-effects model (REM) in EViews 12. The results show that corporate governance and financial pressure do not significantly influence earnings management, although both are negative. Tax planning has a significant negative effect on earnings management. Internal control is proven to have a significant negative effect, but is unable to mediate the relationship between the independent variables and earnings management. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening internal control to suppress earnings management practices and provide an empirical contribution regarding the limited role of governance mechanisms in the context of SOEs.

The interplay between financial literacy, digital financial behavior, and financial decision making creates a crucial synergy in navigating today's economic complexities. Financial literacy and digital financial behavior serve as cognitive foundations, while financial decision making is the manifestation of actions within the technology ecosystem.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non-Performing Financing (NPF), and Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR) on Profitability in Islamic Commercial Banks registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) for the 2020-2024 period. Profitability in this study uses the Return on Assets (ROA) ratio. The population used in this study was 14 Islamic Commercial Banks and a sample of 6 samples was taken using a purposive sampling method. Data analysis techniques used in this study were the results of the model selection test, the results of the panel data regression model estimation, the results of the classical assumption test, and the results of the hypothesis test. The results of the analysis from the tests that have been carried out indicate that the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) affects Return on Assets (ROA), Non-Performing Financing (NPF) does not affect Return on Assets (ROA), and the Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR) affects Return on Assets (ROA). Meanwhile, the results of simultaneous testing showed that the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non-Performing Financing (NPF), and Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR) had an effect on Return on Assets (ROA).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of exchange rates and inflation on the stock prices of companies listed in the IDX-MES BUMN 17 index during the 2020–2024 period. Exchange rate fluctuations and inflation rates are macroeconomic indicators that frequently influence capital market movements, making it important to examine how these variables impact the stock prices of companies that play a strategic role in the national economy. This study uses secondary data in the form of the rupiah exchange rate set by Bank Indonesia. The exchange rate indicator is the rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar (US$). The annual inflation rate was obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the year-end stock prices of each company (closing price) included in the study sample. This research is quantitative. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression using the e-Views software program. The results show that the exchange rate has a significant effect on stock prices. Meanwhile, inflation has no effect on stock prices.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the exchange rate (KURS) and the Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) on stock prices in food and beverage subsector companies in Indonesia. Using panel data for the 2021-2024 period using the Random Effects Model (REM) method, this study aims to demonstrate the partial and simultaneous effects of these two independent variables. The results show that the KURS has a positive and significant effect on stock prices, while the DER has no significant effect partially. However, the results indicate that simultaneously, the KURS and DER have a significant effect on stock prices, with an R-squared value of 16,56%, indicating that most of the stock price variation is explained by factors other than the model. This finding emphasizes the importance of exchange rate stability for capital market performance and suggests that leverage structure is not a primary determinant in investor assessments in the food and beverage subsector.

Abstract

When making an investment, an investor will consider various factors, both internal and external. This study aims to determine the effect of return on equity (ROE) as an internal factor and exchange rates as an external factor on stock prices in the coal industry and coal production sub-industry listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2020-2024. This study uses a quantitative method with a panel data approach processed through the e-views 13 application through descriptive statistical testing, panel data regression model selection, and classical assumption testing. The test results indicate that the best model that can be used is the fixed effects model (FEM). Partially, ROE has no significant effect on stock prices, while exchange rates have a significant effect on stock prices. The independent variables influence the dependent variable with an influence of 88.66%. These findings indicate that exchange rate fluctuations play a role in influencing stock prices in the coal production sub-industry, while profitability performance as measured by ROE is not always a primary consideration for investors in determining investment decisions in the coal production sub-industry.

Abstract

This study analyzes risk management in Uswhoose, a micro enterprise selling thrifted footwear, using a qualitative descriptive approach through interviews and supporting data. The findings reveal four main risk categories: market, operational, human resource, and financial risks, driven by trend changes, inconsistent product quality, limited employee skills, and unstable cash flow. SWOT analysis shows strengths such as competitive pricing and flexible sales channels, while weaknesses include product inconsistency and limited HR capacity. Opportunities arise from the growing thrift market and digital platforms, whereas threats include intense competition. Risk mitigation is strengthened through SOP implementation, employee training, and improved financial control.
