Abstract

The implementation of diagnostic assessments in the Independent Curriculum is a crucial step in mapping students' initial abilities and designing appropriate learning strategies. This study aims to identify obstacles to the implementation of diagnostic assessments in deep learning-based biology learning in public senior high schools in Bandar Lampung City, encompassing the planning, implementation, and follow-up stages. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a purposive sampling technique. The sample consisted of three public senior high schools, four biology teachers, and 69 tenth-grade students studying Biodiversity. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the implementation of diagnostic assessments was not optimal. Only two schools had implemented cognitive and non-cognitive diagnostic assessments, while one school had not implemented them at all. The main obstacles lay in limited school facilities and the low level of socialization regarding the Independent Curriculum, particularly the implementation of diagnostic assessments in innovative, deep learning-oriented biology learning. However, limited understanding and institutional support remained a significant obstacle. This study recommends improving teacher training, providing supporting facilities, and implementing more systematic assessment follow-up policies

Abstract

Peningkatan keterampilan digital pada peserta didik di sekolah dasar menjadi semakin penting di era Revolusi Industri 4.0. Tujuan artikel ini untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) dalam pelatihan coding menggunakan platform Scratch, yang diterapkan pada siswa kelas 5 di SDN Manahan. Pada pelatihan ini menyampaikan konsep dasar pemrograman dengan cara yang menyenangkan dan mudah dipahami. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan sumber data berupa partisipasi siswa dalam pelatihan coding. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung terhadap pelaksanaan pelatihan di kelas dan wawancara mengenai pengalaman siswa dalam belajar coding. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis induktif. Model PjBL dipilih untuk mendorong keterampilan pemecahan masalah dan berpikir kritis melalui pembuatan proyek seperti "Jumping Game". Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep pemrograman dasar dan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Meskipun terdapat tantangan dalam perbedaan kecepatan belajar, strategi diferensiasi yang diterapkan membantu mengatasi tantangan tersebut yang dapat mendorong kolaborasi dan rasa percaya diri siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran science, environment, technology, and society (SETS) berbasis Etnosains terhadap sikap ilmiah siswa Sekolah Menengah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experiment dengan desain posttets-only control design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 19 Bandar Lampung yang berjumlah 300 siswa dan terdistribusi pada 10 kelompok. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling dan diperoleh dua kelas yaitu kelas ekserimen (kelas VIII D) dan kelas kontrol (kelas VIII C). Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik angket. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket sikap ilmiah. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan uji ANCOVA dengan menggunakan SPSS-20. Sebelum dilakukan analisis, terlebih dahulu dilakukan uji normalitas dengan Uji One-Sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov dan uji homogenitas menggunakan Uji Levene. ANCOVA digunakan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran SETS berbasis Etnosains terhadap sikap ilmiah siswa Sekolah Menengah. Hasil penelitian diperoleh berdasarkan uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan independent uji MANOVA diperoleh tingkat signifikan . Sehingga  ditolak. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran SETS berbasis Etnosains terhadap sikap ilmiah siswa sekolah menengah pada materi sistem pernapasan pada manusia.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of STEM-fishbone diagram learning on critical thinking skills and self-efficacy of high school (SMA) students. This type of research is Quasi-Experimental Design. The population in this study were all students of class XI SMA Al-Kautsar Bandar Lampung. The sampling technique used cluster random sampling, obtained class XI MIPA 5 (experimental class) and class XI MIPA 7 (control class). The collection technique used is in the form of tests and questionnaires. The research instrument used was a test of the ability to think critically and self-efficacy. The technique uses the MANOVA test. The results of the study stated that there was an influence of STEM-fishbone diagram learning on the critical thinking skills and self-efficacy of high school students in Bandar Lampung, besides that it was also known that there was an influence of STEM-fishbone diagram learning on the critical thinking skills of high school students in Bandar Lampung and there was an influence on learning STEM-fishbone diagram on self-efficacy of high school students in Bandar Lampung.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop a teaching material in the form of an electronic magazine in mathematics learning. This study uses research and development methods. The development procedure used is the ADDIE (Annalyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model procedure. Data collection techniques used were observation, questionnaires and tests. The sample used was class VII SMP (Junior High School). The data analysis technique used is the t test. Based on the results of the validation carried out the media developed obtained very appropriate criteria by experts (media experts and material experts). Judging from the attractiveness of the results obtained from 2 large-scale trials and small-scale electronic magazines that were obtained obstained very interesting criteria. Based on the results of the t-test it was found that the learning outcomes of students using electronic electronic magazines were better than the learning outcomes of students who did not use mathematical electronic magazines. Based on this, it can be concluded that electrochemical magazines in mathematics learning developed can be used as mathematical learning aids.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi tren riset terkait pendekatan STEM (Sains, Teknologi, Rekayasa, dan Matematika) berbasis teknologi digital dalam pembelajaran biologi yang terindeks di Google Scholar selama periode 2020–2025. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis bibliometrik deskriptif kuantitatif dengan memanfaatkan perangkat lunak Publish or Perish (PoP) dan VOSviewer. Data dikumpulkan dari Google Scholar menggunakan kata kunci "STEM berbasis teknologi digital" dan diseleksi berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi yang ketat. Dari 997 artikel yang ditemukan, 985 artikel berhasil diidentifikasi, dan 270 artikel dinyatakan layak untuk dianalisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tren peningkatan jumlah publikasi secara signifikan, dengan puncak tertinggi pada tahun 2024. Visualisasi bibliometrik melalui VOSviewer menghasilkan pemetaan dalam bentuk jaringan, overlay, dan densitas yang mengelompokkan topik menjadi empat klaster utama, seperti pembelajaran abad 21, literasi digital, pandemi COVID-19, dan pendekatan STEM. Topik-topik seperti “sains”, “biologi”, dan “pembelajaran biologi” memiliki tingkat keterkaitan tinggi, sedangkan topik seperti “kajian pustaka sistematis” dan “keterampilan berpikir kreatif” muncul sebagai tren baru. Visualisasi densitas juga menunjukkan bahwa istilah “sains”, “teknologi”, dan “matematika” merupakan topik yang paling sering digunakan, sementara istilah seperti “pandemi” dan “meta-analisis” mulai jarang ditemukan. Studi ini memberikan gambaran menyeluruh mengenai perkembangan riset STEM berbasis teknologi digital dalam pendidikan biologi, serta membantu peneliti dan praktisi pendidikan untuk mengidentifikasi arah dan celah riset masa depan.

Abstract

Creative thinking skills are widely discussed in science education research, yet their conceptualization, pedagogical treatment, and measurement still show methodological diversity. This study systematically synthesizes recent studies on creative thinking skills in science education, focusing on learning strategies, learning media, and assessment instruments. A systematic literature review (SLR) using the PRISMA framework was conducted on 23 Scopus-indexed publications from 2019–2022. The results indicate that most studies position creative thinking skills as a learning outcome embedded in instructional innovation rather than as an independent construct. STEM-oriented learning, technology-assisted learning, problem-based learning, and inquiry-based learning are the most frequently explored contexts. However, the literature is dominated by qualitative and descriptive research, with limited comparative or experimental evidence. Variation in definitions and measurements also persists, often overlapping with related constructs such as critical thinking. Overall, this review reveals rich pedagogical innovation but limited methodological consistency and analytical rigor. The findings highlight the need for clearer construct boundaries, more robust research designs, and better alignment between learning strategies and validated instruments. This review contributes to mapping research patterns and identifying gaps for future empirical studies in creative thinking skills in science education

Abstract

Creativity is an essential 21st-century skill; however, observations and interviews revealed that students’ creativity in biology learning remains low. This study aimed to analyze the development procedures, feasibility, teachers’ and students’ responses, and the effectiveness of a project-based learning e-module integrated with ClassPoint.io gamification. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D model, involving two subject-matter experts, two media experts, one language expert, teachers, and 30 tenth-grade senior high school students. Validation results indicated very high feasibility (media 91%, content 91%, language 93%). Teachers’ responses reached 85%, while students’ responses were 88% (limited scale) and 91% (large scale). The t-test results showed a significant effect (0.000 < 0.05), indicating that the e-module is effective in enhancing students’ creativity. Membina Kreativitas Siswa : Melalui E-Modul Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek dengan Gamifikasi ClassPoin.Io ABSTRAK : Kreativitas merupakan keterampilan penting abad ke-21, namun observasi dan wawancara menunjukkan kreativitas peserta didik dalam pembelajaran biologi masih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis prosedur pengembangan, kelayakan, respons pendidik dan peserta didik, serta keefektifan e-modul berbasis project-based learning dengan gamifikasi ClassPoint.io. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) model 4D dengan subjek 2 ahli materi, 2 ahli media, 1 ahli bahasa, pendidik, dan 30 peserta didik kelas X SMA. Hasil validasi menunjukkan kelayakan sangat tinggi (media 91%, materi 91%, bahasa 93%). Respons pendidik mencapai 85%, respons peserta didik 88% (skala terbatas) dan 91% (skala luas). Uji t-test menunjukkan hasil signifikan (0,000 < 0,05), sehingga e-modul dinyatakan efektif meningkatkan kreativitas peserta didik.
