Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Learning Cycle Tipe 7E disertai teknik Talking Stick pada materi protista terhadap sikap ilmiah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 8 Bandar Lampung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Eksperimen, dengan Posttest Only Control Design. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan Cluster Random Sampling. Pengambilan data menggunakan instrumen berupa angket dan lembar observasi sikap ilmiah dan analisis data menggunakan Uji-T Polled Varians. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa ttabel 2,437617 > ttabel 1,999624, maka dalam hal ini H0 ditolak dan Hi diterima sehingga dapat dinyatakan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model Learning Cycle Tipe 7E disertai teknik Talking Stick pada materi protista terhadap sikap ilmiah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 8 Bandar Lampung.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemampuan berpikir kritis menggunakan pembelajaran creative problem solving dan roundhouse. Studi ini menggunakan metode quasi experimental design dengan desain penelitian posttest-only control design. Populasi dalam studi adalah peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Al-Huda Jati Agung. Pengambilan sampel penelitian menggunakan cluster random sampling. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII D sebagi kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan pembelajaran CPS dan roundhouse dan kelas VIII E sebagai kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model pembelajaran Direct Intruction (DI). Instrument yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan berpikir kritis. Hasil penelitian uji  tentang kemampuan berpikir kritis diketahui bahwa  karena  maka  ditolak dan  diterima, artinya terdapat pengaruh kemampuan berpikir kritis menggunakan pembelajaran creative problem solving dan roundhouse.

Abstract

This research aimed to investigate the influence of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model assisted by Zoom Cloud Meeting on learners' critical thinking skills. This research employed a quasi-experimental design. The population of the study was all tenth graders of MAN 2 Tulang Bawang Barat. The samples were class X MIA 2 as the experimental class and class X MIA 3 as the control class. Tests were utilized as the data collecting technique. The researchers performed the normality and homogeneity tests on the research data before performing the independent sample t-test as the hypothesis test. Based on the test results on the Pre-test and Post-test data, the N-gain values tested using the t-test obtained a significance value (2-tailed) of 0, 00. The Contextual Teaching and Learning model assisted by Zoom Cloud Meeting improved students' critical thinking skills. Based on the research, the Contextual Teaching and Learning assisted by Zoom Cloud Meeting could improve students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This research aims to develop I-SETS-based LKPD to train critical thinking skills of SMP/MTs students to train critical thinking skills of SMP/MTs students in biology learning. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) according to the ADDIE development steps (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The results of validation tests by language, religion, and media experts stated that the learning media was suitable for use, while material experts stated that the learning media was very suitable for use. The results of the students' attractiveness response test based on small group and large group trials obtained the criteria for interpreting students' responses, namely very interesting. Meanwhile, the results of the effectiveness test of I-SETS-based LKPD to train critical thinking skills of SMP/MTs students on animal and plant breeding material in the learning process could not be implemented due to COVID-19 which occurred globally throughout the world, including the learning process of students in school. So, this research and development is only carried out to the attractiveness response testing stage.ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKPD berbasis I-SETS untuk melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMP/MTs untuk melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMP/MTs pada pembelajaran biologi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Research and Development (R&D) menurut langkan pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation). Hasil uji validasi oleh ahli bahasa, agama, dan ahli media menyatakan bahwa media pembelajaran layak digunakan, sedangkan untuk ahli materi menyatakan bahwa media pembelajaran sangat layak digunakan. Hasil uji respon kemenarikan siswa berdasarkan uji coba kelompok kecil dan kelompok besar memperoleh kriteria interpretasi respon siswa yaitu sangat menarik. Sedangkan hasil uji efektivitas LKPD berbasis I-SETS untuk melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMP/MTs pada materi perkembangbiakan hewan dan tumbuhan dalam proses pembelajaran tidak dapat terlaksana dikarenakan adanya COVID-19 yang terjadi secara global diseluruh penjuru dunia, termasuk proses pembelajaran siswa di sekolah. Sehingga penelitian dan pengembangan ini hanya dilaksanakan sampai tahap uji respon kemenarikan saja.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the Project-Based Learning model assisted by Mind Mapping on Science Process Skills in the field of biology. The research method used is a Quasi-Experimental design with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population for this study consisted of grade XI students and sampling techniques by means of random sampling techniques. The data collection techniques used in the instrument include multiple-choice questions to assess Science Process Skills and then test the validity, reliability, level of difficulty, and discriminatory power so that the instrument is suitable for use. The data analysis technique used was Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), and the results obtained showed a significance value of 0.000 < α = 0.05, indicating that H1 was accepted and H0 was rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the use of the Project-Based Learning model assisted by Mind Mapping on the Science Process Skills of studentABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Project Based Learning berbantu Mind Mapping terhadap keterampilan proses sains peserta didik pada mata pelajaran biologi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Quasy Experimental dengan desain penelitian Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian ini yaitu peserta didik kelas XI. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen berupa soal tes Multiple Choice Keterampilan Proses Sains yang telah dilakukan uji validitas, reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran, dan daya pembeda, sehingga instrumen layak digunakan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji Analysis of varians (Anova), dan didapatkan hasil yang menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < α=0,05, dengan ketentuan H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning berbantu Mind Mapping terhadap Keterampilan Proses Sains peserta didik.

Abstract

A low understanding of mathematical concepts can affect a student's learning process. In overcoming this problem, teachers must pay attention to students’ self-efficacy. This quasi-experimental study aimed to determine the effect of the RME-based Krulik-Rudnick Heuristics learning model on understanding mathematical concepts regarding students' self-efficacy. The samples were obtained using the cluster random sampling technique. The data collection technique used was a test of description questions. Hypothesis testing was performed using two-way ANOVA. The research found that Fa was  F(0.05;1.45); therefore, H0A was rejected. Furthermore, Fb was lower than F(0.05;2;45), so H0B was accepted, and Fab was lower than F (0.05;2.45), so H0AB was accepted. It can be concluded that there was an effect of the learning model used on understanding mathematical concepts, there was no effect of self-efficacy (high, medium, and low) on mathematical concept understanding, and there was no interaction between learning models and self-efficacy (high, medium and low) on students' mathematical concepts understanding. It is recommended that further researchers apply RME-based Krulik-Rudnick Heuristics to other learning materials.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the SETS (Science, Environment, Technology, and Society) learning model based on Vee diagrams on the critical thinking skills and self-regulation of students. The type of research used is quantitative with the quasi-experimental method. Data collection techniques used tests, non-tests, interviews, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using the normality test, homogeneity, and hypothesis testing using the MANOVA test. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using the MANOVA test, a significant level of 0.000 < α = 0.05 was obtained. So that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the SETS (Science, Environment, Technology, and Society) learning model based on the Vee diagram on critical thinking ability and self-regulation of students. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode kuasi-eksperimental. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, non-tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji MANOVA. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji MANOVA, diperoleh tingkat signifikan 0,000 < α = 0,05. Sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh dari model pembelajaran SETS (Science, Environment, Technology, and Society) berdasarkan diagram Vee pada kemampuan berpikir kritis dan regulasi diri.

Abstract

Creative thinking is a crucial skill that involves generating and synthesizing new ideas by analyzing existing concepts and transforming them into innovative solutions. This ability is particularly important in education, where students must apply theoretical knowledge to real-world problems. However, not all students possess strong creative thinking skills. This study aims to analyze the creative thinking abilities of Biology Education students at UIN Raden Intan Lampung, focusing on 2021. The study evaluates students' creative thinking skills using Torrance's indicators: fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, with data collected through purposive sampling. The findings indicate that Biology Education students fall under the "quite creative" category. Specifically, fluency scored 57%, flexibility 48%, originality 43%, and elaboration 47%, all classified as "quite creative". The results suggest that while students demonstrate moderate creative thinking skills, there is room for improvement. Educators should integrate pedagogical strategies that enhance creativity, such as problem-based learning and open-ended assignments, to foster higher-level creative thinking in biology education. This study highlights the need for further targeted interventions to develop students' creative potential.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are pivotal in science education, enabling students to comprehend complex concepts, solve problems effectively, and excel in academic assessments. This study aims to determine the effect of TPACK-based PBL in improving students' critical thinking skills in human anatomy. Using a quasi-experimental design with unequal control groups, the study involved 60 students from two classes (experimental and control groups) in East Lampung, Indonesia. Data analysis via one-way ANOVA revealed a statistically significant difference between the groups (p < 0.001), with the experimental group demonstrating superior performance (mean score: 86.02 vs. 50.10). The large effect size (Cohen's d = 6.13) underscores the transformative potential of TPACK-PBL in fostering analytical reasoning and cognitive flexibility. The integration of digital tools within the PBL framework bridges pedagogical strategies, technology applications, and content mastery, enabling students to engage with authentic real-world problems. These findings align with constructivist theory, which emphasizes the active construction of knowledge through problem-solving contexts. These findings contribute to a new pedagogical model that synergizes TPACK and PBL, offering actionable insights for curriculum developers and educators seeking to foster critical thinking in complex biology topic.

Abstract

During practical work, students tend to have difficulty describing the objects they are observing. This research aims to analyze the relationship between visual representation and students' factual knowledge on plant anatomy material. This type of research is descriptive correlational. The sample in this study included 33 students from a biology education study program at one of the universities in Bandung. The instruments used in this research include image analysis rubrics and tests. The image analysis rubric instrument is used to obtain data related to image representation abilities, while the test instrument is used to obtain data on students' factual knowledge. Before the correlation test is carried out, a prerequisite test is carried out first to obtain normal distribution results and linear regression. Based on the results of the correlation test, results were obtained with a significance of 0.031 < 0.05. Based on these results it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the two variables, namely between visual representation and factual knowledge. Furthermore, an r value of 0.377 was obtained, indicating that the relationship between visual representation and students' factual knowledge was categorized as low
