Abstract

This research examines the Aqidah Akhlak learning process in the fifth grade of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Madinatul Ulum Tembelang Jombang, which is still having difficulty in improving student learning outcomes. The main problem identified is the low enthusiasm of students and the use of conventional learning methods. To overcome this, a learning model is needed that can increase the enthusiasm for learning and understanding of students, one of which is the snowball throwing learning model. This study aims to determine the effect of snowball throwing learning model on Aqidah Akhlak learning outcomes on the material of infaq and sadaqah in the fifth grade of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Madinatul Ulum Tembelang Jombang. This study used an experimental method with a "One-Group Pretest-Posttest" design. In this design, one group of subjects is given a pretest. The experimental group consisted of twenty-four students of class Five B, and the research was conducted for two meetings. The results of descriptive analysis showed an increase in Aqidah Akhlak learning outcomes after the application of the snowball throwing learning model. Inferential statistical analysis using the t test with the help of SPSS 21 software shows that the significance value obtained is 0.000. Because this value is smaller than the significant level of 5% or 0.05 or 0.000, the null hypothesis (HO) is rejected. This shows that the application of the snowball throwing learning model has a positive influence on the learning outcomes of Aqidah Akhlak on the material of infaq and sadaqah in class V MI Madinatul Ulum Tembelang Jombang

Abstract

Students with special needs often face discrimination in formal education, posing a challenge for the Indonesian government to ensure equitable and fair education for all. Inclusive education serves as a strategic approach to providing quality education access for everyone, supporting the achievement of SDG 4 on inclusive and quality education. This study aims to examine inclusive education from the perspective of Lev Vygotsky's constructivist learning theory and Islamic principles to explore their relevance to the principles of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The research employs a library research method. The findings reveal that Lev Vygotsky's constructivist theory, particularly the Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD), significantly contributes to inclusive education. ZPD emphasizes social interaction and teacher guidance as key elements of learning, promoting collaboration, active student engagement, and dynamic learning processes. The implementation of this theory fosters an inclusive learning environment that values diversity. Islamic values, as reflected in QS An-Nisa verse 58 and QS Al-Hujurat verse 13, support justice, trustworthiness, and respect for diversity, aligning with the principles of inclusive education and Vygotsky's theory. These verses underline the importance of justice, social interaction, and collaboration for holistic human development. The implications of this study highlight the need for teacher training to implement collaborative learning based on ZPD and strengthen the values of justice and respect for diversity within the curriculum. This supports the creation of inclusive, fair, and quality education in line with SDG 4.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the religio-paternalistic leadership style adopted by the kiai (Islamic cleric) in Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren) and its relationship with the phenomenon of bullying, which has become increasingly common in several boarding schools recently. Bullying cases in pesantren, particularly those involving physical and psychological violence among students, have raised significant concern due to their high frequency and negative impact on student character development. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design at Al-Muhajirin Ilallah Islamic Boarding School. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews with the kiai, senior and junior students, participatory observation, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the religio-paternalistic leadership style employed by the kiai creates a strong bond between the kiai and the students, grounded in religious values and profound respect for the kiai figure. Although this leadership style successfully fosters student discipline and loyalty, its somewhat authoritarian approach also has the potential to limit student initiative and creativity. Additionally, bullying cases in pesantren are related to the hierarchy of seniority and a lack of effective institutional oversight. In conclusion, the kiai’s religio-paternalistic leadership positively impacts student character and discipline; however, it needs to be complemented with a more inclusive institutional management system to prevent bullying and encourage students' holistic development.

Abstract

Geographically, Asemgede Village, Ngusikan Subdistrict, Jombang Regency, is located at the northernmost part of Jombang, directly bordering Lamongan Regency. Asemgede is a relatively new subdistrict, formed by the division of Kudu Subdistrict, based on Jombang Regency Regulation No. 15 of 2000. The village consists of one hamlet, two RW, and four RT. It is situated in a forested area between Jombang and Lamongan. The majority of its residents are farmers, pandan mat weavers, and charcoal artisans. The farmers in Asemgede Village apply a seasonal planting pattern, cultivating rice during the first planting season (October to March) and corn and tobacco in the second season (March to August). This highlights the village's potential for natural resource development, including the use of corn waste as a raw material for producing bio-briquettes or other products. With its abundant natural resources, Asemgede Village has the opportunity to develop organic material processing activities into economically valuable products. One example is the production of dishwashing soap made from pandan leaves (Pandanus amaryllifolius), which contain natural compounds such as flavonoids, alkaloids, tannins, polyphenols, and saponins, the latter acting as a natural biosurfactant. Saponins in pandan leaves can produce effective foam for cleaning and possess antibacterial properties. Compared to commercial dishwashing soap, pandan-leaf-based soap offers significant advantages, particularly the use of natural ingredients that are safer for skin health, free of harmful chemicals like triethanolamine, triclosan, preservatives, parabens, and SLS surfactants. This community development initiative seeks to empower Asemgede residents by providing training in making dishwashing soap from pandan leaves. The training aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of the village community in processing organic materials into valuable products, thereby improving their economic welfare. The initiative also focuses on increasing women's participation, especially members of the village's Family Welfare Movement (PKK), enabling them to contribute to the community's economic development and fostering innovation

Abstract

Following the enactment of Ministerial Regulation (PMA) Number 32 of 2020, Ma’had Aly faces a dilemma between maintaining its academic independence and adapting to institutional standards set by the government. In this context, two Ma’had Aly institutions located in Jombang — Ma’had Aly Hasyim Asy’ari Tebuireng and Ma’had Aly Tarbiyatunnasyi’in Pacul Gowang — have shown different responses to the policy. Hasyim Asy’ari emphasizes a systematic academic management in the field of hadith, while Tarbiyatunnasyi’in adopts a cultural and spiritual approach in the cultivation of tasawwuf. As an Islamic higher education institution rooted in the pesantren tradition, Ma’had Aly serves to preserve the continuity of classical Islamic scholarly traditions through the study of turath (classical texts). Unlike conventional Islamic boarding schools, Ma’had Aly has a more structured educational system, complete with academic levels, tracks, and specific fields of specialization. This study aims to examine how Ma’had Aly responds to the demands of formal regulations and the challenges of globalization in the education sector, without losing its identity as an institution devoted to tafaqquh fi al-din (deep understanding of religion).

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how the application of the Talaqqi method improves memorization at the Putra Roudhotul Tahfidzil Qur'an Islamic Boarding School. This study uses qualitative research and a case study approach. Data collection using observation, interviews, and documentation. Interviews were conducted with 5 informants. Data analysis techniques are done through data reduction, data presentation, then concluding. Checking the validity of the data is done by extending observation, continuous observation, and triangulation. The results of this study include; 1) Learning the Qur'an at the Roudhotul Tahfidzul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School uses the Talaqqi method, technically the students deposit their memorization to the ustadz ba'da maghrib, then the ustadz reads the maqro` memorization that will be memorized by the students and the students listen well, then the students read the maqro` that the ustadz has read bin nadhor. 2) Roudhotul Putra Islamic Boarding School's efforts to maintain the tradition of mutqin Qur'an memorization by forming a Qur'an learning management consisting of Pre tahfidz, and Tahfidz. The evaluation of learning, namely Tasmi`, and the Pre Tahfidz and Tahfidz Exams are held every semester. In dealing with obstacles when students experience broken memories, Roudhotul Tahfidzil Qur`an Putra Islamic Boarding School provides solutions through individual management from ustadz. 3) Students can target memorization achievements; students are accustomed to consistency in murojaah so maintaining the quality of student memorization is prioritized over the quantity of memorization in a period of time.

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in human life, as it allows individuals to develop their potential and solve various life challenges. According to the National Education System Law Number 20 of 2003, education aims to develop spiritual abilities, self-control, personality, intelligence, noble character, and the skills needed by individuals and society. However, the limited use of educational media often hinders the achievement of these educational goals, as observed in several educational institutions in the village of Asemgede. The use of lecture methods and minimal teaching aids have resulted in a lack of student enthusiasm for learning. To address this issue, the KKN team organized a training session on creating educational evaluation media using the Wordwall platform. This training aimed to enhance teachers' skills in creating interactive and engaging learning materials and to increase student participation and motivation. Wordwall offers various interactive games that can be used as tools for learning evaluation, which have proven effective in increasing student engagement. The results of the training showed that teachers in Asemgede village were enthusiastic about learning and implementing Wordwall in their teaching practices. Although there were some technical challenges, overall, the training successfully improved the teachers' creativity in evaluating students and stimulated students' enthusiasm for learning. The use of Wordwall media is expected to be further developed in the learning process to improve the quality of education in Asemgede village.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology in the globalization era has impacted various aspects of life, including business. In the context of marketing, e-marketing has become essential to expanding market reach and increasing product competitiveness. In Asem Gede Village, pandan leaf weavers—mostly women—face limitations in marketing their products widely. Currently, their pandan leaf crafts are only sold through middlemen and traditional markets, resulting in limited income. This socialization and training program aims to provide an understanding of product diversification and digital marketing strategies, with the goal of increasing the income of these weavers. The results of this activity show a significant increase in participants' understanding of product management and the use of e-marketing strategies. Before the training, many participants were unfamiliar with e-marketing concepts. However, after the socialization, their interest and readiness to adopt digital promotion strategies increased dramatically. Products that were previously limited to mats have now expanded to include bags, tissue boxes, and other high-value items. This socialization has positively impacted the local economy and empowered the community, especially women, by increasing income and preserving traditional skills.
