Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tantangan dan strategi pedagogis dalam pendidikan agama Islam bagi anak dari pernikahan beda agama. Anak-anak tersebut menemui tantangan menginternalisasi ajaran Islam dan norma lingkungan sosial dan nilai keluarga. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, di lembaga hometutoring MuslimSmart di Jakarta. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan pengelola lembaga dan tutor. Hasil penelitian mengidentifikasi empat tantangan utama: (1) ketakutan anak terhadap pendekatan tradisional, (2) ketidaksesuaian antara doktrin agama dan lingkungan, (3) kebingungan dengan doktrin eskatologi, dan (4) potensi memilih keluar dari Islam saat dewasa. Sebagai respons, lembaga mengembangkan empat strategi pedagogis inovatif: (1) pendekatan sensitif budaya, (2) fokus pada nilai inti agama, (3) pengajaran berbasis konteks, dan (4) penyesuaian dengan nilai keluarga. Strategi-strategi ini menunjukkan pergeseran dari pendidikan agama yang dogmatis ke pendekatan yang lebih fleksibel, adaptif, dan berpusat pada kebutuhan psikologis serta sosiologis anak. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada khazanah keilmuan pendidikan agama Islam dan dapat menjadi panduan praktis bagi praktisi dan orang tua dalam merancang metode pengajaran yang efektif dan peka terhadap kebutuhan anak dari keluarga multikultural. Abstract This study aims to analyze the challenges and pedagogical strategies in Islamic religious education for children from interfaith marriages. These children face difficulties in internalizing Islamic teachings alongside the norms of their social environment and family values. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study method, the research was conducted at the MuslimSmart hometutoring institution in Jakarta. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the institution’s administrators and tutors. The findings identify four main challenges: (1) children’s fear of traditional religious approaches, (2) misalignment between religious doctrine and social environment, (3) confusion over eschatological teachings, and (4) the potential for leaving Islam in adulthood. In response, the institution has developed four innovative pedagogical strategies: (1) culturally sensitive approaches, (2) emphasis on the core values of Islam, (3) context-based instruction, and (4) alignment with family values. These strategies represent a shift from dogmatic religious education to a more flexible, adaptive, and child-centered approach that attends to both the psychological and sociological needs of children. This research contributes to the academic discourse on Islamic education and offers practical guidance for educators and parents in designing effective and sensitive teaching methods for children from multicultural families.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengaktualisasikan nilai-nilai akhlakul karimah peserta didik melalui pembiasaan salat dhuha berjamaah di SMP Negeri 26 Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi untuk memahami pengalaman dan persepsi individu terkait fenomena yang diteliti. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembiasaan salat dhuha berjamaah di SMP Negeri 26 Surabaya efektif dalam mengaktualisasikan nilai-nilai akhlakul karimah seperti kedisiplinan, tanggung jawab, ketakwaan, ketawadhuan, keimanan, dan kebersamaan. Proses ini diawasi dan dibimbing oleh guru, serta didukung oleh orang tua, sehingga peserta didik tidak hanya disiplin dalam beribadah di sekolah tetapi juga di rumah dan lingkungan masyarakat. Kesimpulannya, program pembiasaan salat dhuha berjamaah di SMP Negeri 26 Surabaya berhasil meningkatkan akhlak peserta didik meskipun masih terdapat beberapa hambatan. Dengan dukungan yang konsisten dari guru dan orang tua, nilai-nilai akhlakul karimah dapat terinternalisasi dengan baik dalam diri peserta didik.

Abstract

This paper aims to explain why we need to rethink the fiqh approach in fostering a sakinah marriage. To date, in various discussions about the concept of a sakinah family, both in the community in the form of religious lectures and on various social media platforms, fiqh discourse has dominated. The fiqh discourse that is the focus of this paper is the rights versus obligations of husband and wife, the age of marriage, and the ijbar rights of parents towards their daughters. In response, this study proposes an “Integrative-Mubadalah Fiqh Framework”, a paradigm that bridges the normative dimension of classical fiqh with the relational ethics of mubadalah through the epistemology of knowledge integration. This framework redefines fiqh as a dialogical and ethical discourse that promotes equality, reciprocity, and marital harmony. As a solution, the approach of knowledge integration with the principle of mubadalah or mutuality is urgent to be disseminated as a mainstream discourse in the effort to foster a sakinah marriage. Integration of knowledge in the context of marriage means synthesizing various knowledge, perspectives, data, and experiences to form a more complete picture of the issue. Therefore, one approach ,  fiqh, for example ,  cannot be enough, because other fields such as psychology, psychiatry, sociology, philosophy, and law also address the themes of marriage. The principle of mutuality allows the married couple to have an equal voice in decision-making and to share marital and family responsibilities fairly based on their respective capacities. Mutuality in marriage also increases well-being in conjugal relationships, finances, childcare, sexual satisfaction, and relationships with in-laws. Meanwhile, mainstreaming these latest concepts is vital given that marriage is the core of the social system ,  the failure of marriage will undermine the larger social system.

Abstract

Abstract This study explores community-based marital education practices implemented by the Reconciliation School (SR), an initiative designed to help individuals heal emotional wounds caused by dysfunctional family systems. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The SR program adopts therapeutic frameworks developed by John Bradshaw and Virginia Satir, emphasizing family systems theory, inner child healing, and identity reconstruction. Data analysis was conducted using thematic coding and triangulation to ensure validity. Findings reveal significant improvements in participants’ interpersonal relationships and self-perception after completing the program. Participants reported enhanced emotional awareness, improved communication skills, and greater resilience in managing family dynamics. These results underscore the potential of community-based marriage education as a strategic alternative for strengthening family systems in Indonesia, particularly amid rising divorce rates, which currently range between 15–20 percent annually. Furthermore, SR’s hybrid model—integrating psychotherapy principles, adult learning theory, and spiritual reflection—creates a safe and transformative space for personal growth without requiring formal clinical intervention. The study recommends scaling similar programs through policy support and cross-sector collaboration to broaden accessibility. Ultimately, community-based family education offers a preventive approach to mitigating family dysfunction and its social consequences, fostering healthier relationships and sustainable family well-being. Abstrak Penelitian ini mengkaji praktik pendidikan perkawinan berbasis komunitas yang dilaksanakan oleh Sekolah Rekonsiliasi (SR), sebuah inisiatif yang bertujuan membantu individu memulihkan luka emosional akibat keluarga disfungsional. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Program SR mengadopsi metode terapeutik dari John Bradshaw dan Virginia Satir yang menekankan pemahaman sistem keluarga, penyembuhan luka batin, serta penguatan identitas diri. Analisis data dilakukan melalui pengkodean tematik dan triangulasi untuk menjamin validitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perubahan positif pada hubungan interpersonal dan persepsi diri peserta setelah mengikuti program. Peserta melaporkan peningkatan kesadaran diri, kemampuan mengelola emosi, serta keterampilan membangun komunikasi yang sehat dalam keluarga. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pendidikan perkawinan berbasis komunitas dapat menjadi alternatif strategis untuk memperkuat sistem keluarga di Indonesia, khususnya di tengah meningkatnya angka perceraian yang mencapai 15–20 persen per tahun. Selain itu, model SR yang mengintegrasikan pendekatan psikoterapi, pembelajaran orang dewasa, dan refleksi spiritual menunjukkan efektivitas dalam menciptakan ruang aman bagi proses transformasi personal. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan program serupa dengan dukungan kebijakan dan kolaborasi lintas sektor agar dapat menjangkau lebih banyak masyarakat. Dengan demikian, pendidikan keluarga berbasis komunitas berpotensi menjadi solusi preventif terhadap disfungsi keluarga dan dampak sosial yang ditimbulkannya.

Abstract

slamic Religious Education learning is still often teacher-centered, limiting students’ active participation and the development of 21st-century skills. This study aims to analyze how the Marketplace Activity (MPA) model and variations in grouping strategies foster the four Cs (communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity) in Islamic Religious Education classrooms. Using a qualitative case study design at a public senior high school in Sidoarjo, data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model. The findings show that MPA promotes dynamic and meaningful learning interactions. Heterogeneous groups encourage diverse ideas, dialogic exchange, and critical reflection, while homogeneous groups support task efficiency and clarity of roles. The four Cs emerged as Islamic value-based learning outcomes: value-driven collaborative communication, spiritual-intellectual collaboration, reflective faith-based reasoning, and integrative Islamic creativity. This study concludes that MPA has strong potential as an integrative learning model that connects cognitive skill development with spiritual character formation, making Islamic Religious Education more relevant to the competence and morality demands of the 21st century. Practically, teachers are encouraged to design student-centered activities, apply flexible grouping structures aligned with learning objectives, and integrate faith-based values with higher-order thinking to strengthen both academic and spiritual outcomes.

Abstract

This research is driven by the interaction between teachers and students in the contemporary era, which is associated with the content of the book Adabul Alim wal Muta'allim. For instance, the disappearance of etiquette, both between teachers and their students and vice versa. In the contemporary era, this seems to be considered irrelevant to the contents of the book Adabul Alim wal Muta'allim, possibly due to cultural influences and the surrounding environment. In this contemporary era, most teachers and students do not often study the book Adabul Alim wal Muta'allim and lack an understanding of what a teacher and a student should ideally do. This aspect is essential for researchers to investigate, aiming to understand the reasons why the interaction between teachers and students in this contemporary era is considered irrelevant to the contents of Adabul Alim wal Muta'allim. The method used is library research, collecting data in the form of documentation, such as documents from various sources like journals, theses, and websites, which are gathered and observed for careful selection. The conclusion drawn from this research is that the interaction between teachers and students in the contemporary era is not yet considered relevant to the content of Adabul Alim wal Muta'allim. This could potentially lead to further research on how the content of Adabul Alim wal Muta'allim could become relevant to education, especially in terms of teacherstudent interactions
