Abstract

Keterbatasan media pembelajaran berkualitas, khususnya pada mata kuliah Listrik dan Elektronika, sering menghambat pemahaman mahasiswa. Penelitian ini mengembangkan media video pembelajaran penggunaan osiloskop untuk mendukung peran pendidik dan meningkatkan ketercapaian pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model 4-D, melibatkan 75 mahasiswa, ahli materi, dan ahli media. Validitas dan kepraktisan media diukur menggunakan kuesioner berbasis skala Likert dan dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan media memenuhi kriteria validitas (rata-rata ≥0,85) dan praktikalitas (rata-rata ≥87%), sehingga layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Media ini memungkinkan pembelajaran fleksibel, interaktif, dan efektif, serta berpotensi meningkatkan pemahaman konsep teknis secara signifikan. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi praktis bagi pengembangan media digital di pendidikan vokasi, khususnya bidang teknik otomotif.  The limited availability of high-quality learning media, particularly in the Electricity and Electronics course, often hinders students’ comprehension. This study developed video-based learning media for teaching oscilloscope operation to support educators and improve learning outcomes. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the 4-D model, involving 75 students, content experts, and media experts. The validity and practicality of the media were assessed through Likert scale–based questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods. Results indicate that the media met the validity criteria (average ≥ 0.85) and practicality criteria (average ≥ 87%), making it feasible for instructional use. The developed media enables flexible, interactive, and effective learning, significantly enhancing students’ understanding of technical concepts. These findings provide practical contributions to digital media development in vocational education, especially in automotive engineering.

Abstract

Tingginya ketergantungan pada bahan bakar fosil di Indonesia mendorong eksplorasi energi alternatif yang lebih ramah lingkungan, salah satunya adalah bioetanol. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan ECU programmable dan busi iridium dengan campuran bioetanol 30% dan pertalite 70% terhadap durability mesin sepeda motor empat langkah. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan tiga perlakuan: standar (tanpa modifikasi), perlakuan 1 (injection timing 350°, ignition timing 5°), dan perlakuan 2 (injection timing 350°, ignition timing 9°). Uji durability dilakukan selama 20, 40, dan 50 jam. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan 2 menghasilkan deposit karbon paling rendah, yakni 150 mg dengan volume 83 mm³, dibandingkan perlakuan standar sebesar 680 mg dan 378 mm³. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa optimasi sistem pengapian dan pencampuran bahan bakar bioetanol mampu mengurangi pembentukan kerak karbon, meningkatkan efisiensi pembakaran, serta memperpanjang usia mesin. The heavy reliance on fossil fuels in Indonesia has accelerated the search for renewable and eco-friendly alternatives, such as bioethanol. This study aims to analyze the effect of using a programmable ECU and iridium spark plug with a 30% bioethanol–70% Pertalite fuel blend on the durability of four-stroke motorcycle engines. An experimental method was applied with three treatments: standard (no modification), treatment 1 (350° injection timing, 5° ignition timing), and treatment 2 (350° injection timing, 9° ignition timing). Durability tests were conducted for 20, 40, and 50 hours. The results indicate that treatment 2 produced the lowest carbon deposit, 150 mg with a volume of 83 mm³, compared to the standard treatment (680 mg and 378 mm³). These findings highlight that optimizing ignition timing and using bioethanol fuel blends can reduce carbon deposits, improve combustion efficiency, and extend engine lifespan.

Abstract

Rendahnya hasil belajar siswa dikarenakan proses pembelajaran masih berpusat pada guru. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning pada mata pelajaran pemeliharaan sasis dan pemindah tenaga kendaraan ringan kelas XI SMK N 5 Padang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah menggunakan metode eksperimen semu (Quasi Experimental Design). Dengan rancangan pretest dan posttes. Teknik pemilihan sampel penelitian ini adalah Teknik total sampling dengan jumlah 52 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada ranah kognitif, hal ini terlihat dari hasil hipotesis didapatkan nilai signifikansi 0.000< 0,05 yang menandakan H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, dinyatakan model problem based learning berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik di SMK N 5 Padang The low student learning outcomes are because the learning process is still teacher-centered. The aim of this research is to find out whether there is an effect of implementing the Problem Based Learning learning model on the subjects of chassis maintenance and power transfer for class XI SMK N 5 Padang. This type of research uses a quasi-experimental method (Quasi Experimental Design). With a pretest and posttest design. The sample selection technique for this research was a total sampling technique with a total of 52 students. The results of the research show that there is an influence of the application of the Problem Based Learning Model on student learning outcomes in the cognitive domain. This can be seen from the results of the hypothesis which shows a significance value of 0.000<0.05 which indicates that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, it is stated that the problem based learning model has a significant effect on student learning outcomes at SMK N 5 Padang

Abstract

Penelitian dilatar belakangi kurangnya media pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran pemeliharaan kelistrikan kendaraan ringan di SMK Negeri 1 Bukittinggi. Tujuan penelitian merancang media pembelajaran berupa simulator sistem pengisian IC Regulator yang digunakan oleh guru dan siswa dalam proses belajar. Penelitian ini memakai metode penelitian dan pengembangan model (4-D). Hasil Penelitian dilihat dari hasil uji validitas dan pratikalitas yang diperoleh dari ahli dan responden. Berdasarkan hasil uji validitas dari ahli media tingkat pencapaian skor sebesar 93% pada kategori “sangat valid. Ahli materi 91% pada kategori “sangat valid. Hasil uji praktikalitas oleh guru didapatkan tingkat pencapaian skor 94% pada kategori “sangat praktis” dan dari siswa 88% pada kategori “praktis”. Disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran simulator sistem pengisian IC Regulator yang telah dibuat pada kategori sangat valid dan praktis. This research was motivated by the lack of learning media on the subject of light vehicle electrical maintenance at SMK Negeri 1 Bukittinggi. The aim of the research is to design learning media in the form of an IC Regulator charging system simulator that is used by teachers and students in the learning process. This research uses research and model development methods (4-D). The research results were seen from the results of validity and practicality tests obtained from experts and respondents. Based on the results of media expert validity tests, the score achievement level was 93% in the "very valid" category. Material experts 91% in the "very valid" category. The results of the practicality test carried out by the teacher showed an achievement level of 94% in the "very practical" category and 88% of students in the "practical" category. It was concluded that the IC Regulator charging system simulator learning media that had been created was in the very valid and practical category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang seberapa efektif penggunaan aplikasi google meet terhadap hasil belajar siswa dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran normal.yang mana penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada kelas XII TKR di SMK N 2 Solok. Adapun yang menjadi sampel penelitian yaitu sebanyak 48 siswa yang mana 24 siswa untuk sampel kelas kontrol dan 24 siswa untuk sampel kelas eksperimen. Metode yang di pakai didalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan Quasi Eksperiment. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui pemberian berupa soal pre-test dan post-test serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menyatakan aplikasi google meet efektif dalam pembelajaran PKKR pada kelas XII TKR. Hal ini terlihat jelas di kelas eksperimen, di mana aplikasi Google Meet digunakan untuk mendapatkan nilai pembelajaran yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol. This study discusses how effective the use of the Google Meet application is on student learning outcomes compared to normal learning.where this research was carried out in class XII TKR at SMK N 2 Solok. The research sample was 48 students, of which 24 students were for the control class sample and 24 students for the experimental class sample. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a Quasi-Experimental approach. Data collection techniques through providing pre-test and post-test questions and documentation. The results of the study stated that the google meet application was effective in learning PKKR in class XII TKR. This was evident in the experimental class, where the Google Meet app was used to score higher compared to the control group.

Abstract

Keterbatasan alat praktik pada sistem bahan bakar, pengapian, dan pendinginan di SMKN 1 X Koto Diatas berdampak pada rendahnya pengalaman praktik siswa dalam mata pelajaran Pemeliharaan Mesin Kendaraan Ringan (PMKR). Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan modul interaktif sebagai media pembelajaran alternatif untuk meningkatkan efektivitas praktik siswa. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model 4-D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Modul dirancang dalam format PDF interaktif yang dapat diakses melalui perangkat digital dan divalidasi oleh ahli materi, ahli media, serta guru pengguna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa dari 65,7 menjadi 86,8 setelah penggunaan modul. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa pengembangan modul interaktif berbasis digital learning dapat menjadi solusi atas keterbatasan sarana praktik di SMK serta berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar pada pendidikan vokasi.  The limited availability of practical tools in the fuel, ignition, and cooling systems at SMKN 1 X Koto Diatas has reduced students’ hands-on experience in the Light Vehicle Engine Maintenance (PMKR) subject. This study aims to develop an interactive module as an alternative learning medium to enhance students’ practical skills. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The module was designed in an interactive PDF format accessible through digital devices and validated by material experts, media experts, and subject teachers. The findings revealed a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes, with the average score increasing from 65.7 to 86.8 after using the module. These results confirm that interactive digital learning modules can effectively overcome the limitations of school practice facilities and contribute to improving learning outcomes in vocational education.

Abstract

The present research aims to demonstrate the enhancement of students' learning outcomes through the utilization of a smart trainer in conjunction with a QR code. This intelligent trainer is designed to display the voltage output values of each sensor on the motorcycle. Additionally, each sensor is designated a QR code, enabling students to comprehend the function of each sensor's performance and verify the theoretical principles linked with the corresponding QR code during practice. The educational method is implemented offline, comprising four sessions in phase F of the Merdeka curriculum. The cohort comprised 20 participants, consisting of 5 educators and 15 learners. The assessment results indicate that student learning outcomes enhanced following the provision of materials.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the effect of the implementation of Educational Field Practices (PLK) on readiness to become professional teachers. This research is included in quantitative research because this research uses a lot of numbers, starting from data collection, interpretation of the data, and the appearance of the results of this study which are manifested in numbers. The research was conducted in the Automotive Engineering Department, State University of Padang, with a population of 109 students of Automotive Engineering Education. The results showed that the correlation coefficient value (Rxy) was 0.935 and the determination coefficient value (R2xy) was 0.874 This indicates that there is a positive influence between Educational Field Practices and Readiness to Become Professional Teachers, which means that the longer Educational Field Practices are carried out. students, the higher the Readiness to Become a Professional Teacher. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh pelaksanaan Praktik Lapangan Kependidikan (PLK) terhadap kesiapan menjadi guru porfesional. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian kuantitatif karena penelitian ini banyak menggunakan angka-angka, mulai dari pengumpulan data, penafsiran terhadap data tersebut, serta penampilan dari hasil penelitian ini diwujudkan dalam angka. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Jurusan Teknik Otomotif Universitas Negeri Padang dengan Populasi penelitian sebanyak 109 mahasiswa Pendidikan Teknik Otomotif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai koefisien korelasi (Rxy) sebesar 0,935 dan nilai koefisien determinasi (R2x,y) sebesar 0,874 Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif antara Praktik Lapangan Kependidikan dengan Kesiapan Menjadi Guru Profesional yang berarti bahwa semakin lama Praktik Lapangan Kependidikan yang dilakukan mahasiswa maka akan semakin tinggi Kesiapan Menjadi Guru Profesional.

Abstract

Research-based on problems in applying the learning model at SMKN 3 Bungo. This study aims to see the effectiveness of using the Problem Solving learning model at SMKN 3 Bungo. The learning model used is centered on the teacher, so student activity is still low. This type of research is a pre-experimental study using a one-group pretest post-test design. The research subjects were 24 students of class XI TKR 2 SMKN 3 Bungo. The research instrument is in the form of test questions in the form of objective questions. the data is analyzed through analysis of student learning completeness, effect size, and N-Gain. The results of this study indicate that the Problem Solving learning model effectively improves student learning outcomes in class XI TKR 2 at SMKN 3 Bungo, where 91.67% of students are declared to have completed it based on the KKM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat keefektifan pengunaan model pembelajaran Problem Solving di SMKN 3 Bungo. Penelitian berdasarkan permasalahan dalam penerapan model pembelajaran yang diterapkan di SMKN 3 Bungo. Model pembelajaran yang digunakan terpusat pada guru, sehingga keaktifan siswa masih rendah. Jenis penelitian merupakan penelitian pre experimental menggunakan desain one group pretest posttest. Subjek penelitian merupakan siswa kelas XI TKR 2 SMKN 3 Bungo yan berjumlah 24 orang. Instrumen penelitian dalam bentuk soal tes dalam bentuk soal objektif. Data yang terkumpul, dianalisis melalui analisis ketuntasan belajar siswa, effect size dan N-Gain. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Problem Solving efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI TKR 2 di SMKN 3 Bungo dimana sebesar 91,67 % siswa dinyatakan telah tuntas berdasarkan KKM.

Abstract

This study will look for optimal results from using the type of spark plug, oil, and gasoline ethanol mixture to increase the temperature and mileage of a 4 stroke motorcycle using the Taguchi method, which this research can also be used as a reference for further researchers. The object of research in this study is a Yamaha Vega ZR 2010 modified injection system. Data collection is done directly, such as the temperature test is carried out with an engine speed of 5000 rpm with a span of 2 minutes each run, while for the mileage test using the full to full method. Based on the results of the research that has been done, the increase in temperature gets an optimal response, namely A1 (Nickel Spark Plug) SNR response (36.2803), B3 (Shell Advance Oil) SNR response (37.8012), C2 (Ethanol gasoline 75%: 25 %) SNR response (36,4388). As for the optimal response to mileage, the factors are A2 (Iridium Spark Plug) SNR response (28.5501), B2 (Federal Racing Oil) SNR response (28.5446), C3 (Ethanol Gasoline 80%:20%) SNR response (28, 5446).
