Abstract

General Background: The youth are pivotal for national development and are increasingly required to navigate the complexities of a technologically advanced world. Specific Background: Despite this necessity, many young individuals are ill-prepared for technological engagement and often misuse these tools, which adversely affects their character. Character education is critical and must be integrated into both formal and non-formal educational systems. Knowledge Gap: While the role of Islamic boarding schools in character education is acknowledged, the specific contributions of teachers within this context remain underexplored. Aims: This research aims to elucidate the role of teachers in fostering a generation of religious professionals at the Wali Barokah Islamic Boarding School in Kediri, East Java. Results: Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation, revealing that teachers serve as facilitators, motivators, and role models. Findings indicated that teachers received a high observation score of 91%, highlighting their effectiveness in character formation. Novelty: This study provides a comprehensive examination of how teacher involvement directly influences the development of religious character among students, emphasizing the multifaceted role teachers play in Islamic education. Implications: The results underscore the necessity for enhanced teacher training and support to strengthen character education in Islamic boarding schools, thereby equipping the next generation with the moral framework needed to successfully navigate contemporary challenges and contribute positively to society. Abstract

The general background school finance management is a crucial aspect of ensuring the effectiveness and sustainability of educational institutions. Specific Background In pesantren-based schools, financial management is often hindered by limited resources, lack of transparency, and weak human resource capacity. Knowledge Gap There is limited research on optimizing financial management in pesantren-based educational settings, particularly in Muhammadiyah-affiliated institutions. Aims This study aims to explore and develop a model for optimizing school finance management in a pesantren-based educational institution. Results The findings indicate that financial optimization can be achieved through transparent and accountable management systems, the integration of information technology, and enhanced human resource capacity through training and education. Active participation from the school committee and parents in financial oversight is also critical. Additionally, integrating pesantren values such as honesty and responsibility fosters a culture of ethical and integrity-based financial management. Novelty This research introduces the application of pesantren values in financial management as a distinctive approach to enhancing transparency, accountability, and efficiency in school finance. Implications The study’s findings have significant implications for similar institutions, suggesting that the adoption of technological tools and the involvement of key stakeholders can improve financial management. Furthermore, diversifying funding sources through donations, partnerships, and optimizing school assets can ensure the sustainability of educational programs, supporting the institution's mission and vision. Specific Background: This study investigates the leadership development of high school students in the Basic Leadership Training (LDKS) program through direct observation. Abstract

Islamic educational institutions face the challenge of integrating information technology into their programs to enhance their long-term sustainability and effectiveness. However, there is limited research on how tahfidzul Qur'an programs can incorporate technological advances for improved school development. This study addresses this gap by exploring the development of an information technology-based tahfidzul Qur'an school program at Al Azhar International Islamic Boarding School. Utilizing an exploratory descriptive qualitative method, the research gathers insights from the school's founder to identify key strategies. The results indicate that careful planning, monitoring, and evaluation are essential for achieving long-term educational goals. Human resource development, seen as a valuable institutional asset, must be prioritized through regular training. Additionally, optimizing information media is crucial to increase the institution's visibility and attract prospective students. The novelty of this study lies in its focus on integrating technology into religious education management. The implications suggest that effective use of technology in tahfidzul Qur'an school programs can align graduate outcomes with the institution's vision and mission, setting a model for similar educational programs seeking sustainable development. Highlights: Strategic long-term planning is vital for program success. Human resource quality is crucial for institutional growth. Abstract

BTQ learning is directed to improve students' ability to read and write the Qur'an well, understand the content of the verses of the Qur'an, and be able to write it with good and correct writing. The function of learning to read and write the Qur'an (BTQ) functions, among others, is to develop the ability of students to read and write the Qur'an. Encourage, guide, foster willpower and passion. Embed understanding, understanding, appreciation and practice the content of the verses of the Qur'an in the behavior of students everyday. Providing knowledge to take education at a level that is more than one level. BTQ subjects at SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Gempol aim that students have the ability to read and write the Qur'an well, apply the rules of recitation in reading the Qur'an, memorize short letters in the Qur'an, write verses - verses of the Qur'an with good and correct writing. The aim is to encourage and encourage students or children easily, now they are more active in learning and understanding BTQ lessons. Abstract

Dunia pendidikan di Indonesia secara konsisten mengalami kemerosotan sejak 15 tahun terakhir. Keadaan tersebut semakin diperburuk dengan terjadinya wabah pandemi Covid-19. Berbagai langkah strategis telah dilakukan pemerintah guna menanggulangi persoalan tersebut, salah satunya melalui sosialisasi tentang urgensi penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka. Namun ironisnya, sampai saat ini masih banyak lembaga pendidikan, khususnya lembaga pendidikan Islam yang diketahui masih belum menerapan Kurikulum Merdeka. SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Taman Sidoarjo merupakan dua lembaga pendidikan Islam yang diketahui telah menerapkan kebijakan Kurikulum Merdeka pada satuan pendidikan masing-masing. Guna mengetahui penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka, serta apa yang menjadi faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya, maka perlu dilakukan penelitian terhadap kedua lembaga pendidikan Islam tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan penggunaan teknik analisis data yang dipopulerkan Milles dan Hubberman. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, teknik dokumentasi dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwasanya SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Taman Sidoarjo dan telah menerapkan Kurikulum Merdeka dengan baik.  Yang menjadi faktor penghambat adalah ketersedian informasi dan pendanaan, adapun yang menjadi faktor pendukung yakni kondisi sumber daya dan struktur birokrasi.

Abstract

Islamic religious education (PAI) is very much needed for the moral and religious development of Generation Z. Today's teenagers prefer to spend their time playing gadgets rather than listening to lectures in a place of worship. So that many content creators innovate to attract the interest of Generation Z by conveying Islamic religious knowledge online through social media. One of the social media that attracts Generation-Z's interest is the TikTok application. This study aims to determine the use of the features of the TikTok application in creating a method of delivering PAI material to Generation-Z during the covid-19 pandemic. The PAI material presented included fiqh, moral creed, Al-Qur'an Hadith, and the history of Islamic culture. This study uses a qualitative approach with virtual ethnographic methods. Data is obtained by researchers through the process of observation and documentation. The data analysis used includes the stages of data reduction, data display, and concluding. The results of the study show that: 1) The use of the TikTok social network as a medium for delivering PAI teaching materials is considered quite effective and brings a lot of new things in the form of experiences, innovations, knowledge, and methods that are different from before. 2) The most interesting and interesting features and methods for Generation Z in learning PAI on the TikTok social network are the feature "Add Text & Add Sound" and the method "Impersonate or Role Play”.

Abstract

Pimpinan Daerah ‘Aisyiyah Kabupaten Sidoarjo menghadapi sejumlah tantangan utama, terutama terkait kurangnya pemahaman, komitmen, dan kinerja anggota serta para pemimpinnya, sebagaimana terlihat hingga tahun 2022. Untuk menjawab permasalahan ini, program pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan dengan tujuan merancang model gerakan berbasis solusi atas tantangan tersebut. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode penerapan Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi (IPTEKS) dalam penguatan pada tiga bidang utama: hukum, ekonomi, dan keluarga. Langkah-langkah yang diambil mencakup pendampingan bagi pelaku Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) dalam pembuatan Nomor Induk Berusaha (NIB), fasilitasi sertifikasi halal produk, serta penyelenggaraan pelatihan manajemen waktu dan peningkatan komitmen berorganisasi. Hasil dari program ini menghasilkan model gerakan yang disebut Gerakan PSP (Problem Solver dan Purpose). Model ini memperlihatkan bahwa ‘Aisyiyah Kabupaten Sidoarjo mampu menjadi organisasi perempuan yang efektif dalam memecahkan masalah internal demi mencapai visinya. Dengan penerapan model ini, tantangan yang dihadapi dapat diatasi, sehingga mendukung pencapaian tujuan organisasi secara berkelanjutan.
