Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the REACT Learning Model (Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, Transferring) on the geography learning outcomes of grade X.E students at SMA Negeri 1 Salimpaung. The type of research used is a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method. Sampling using the Cluster random sampling technique, and two classes were selected, namely class X.E 2 (experiment) with 32 students, and class X.E3 (control) with 32 students. The research instrument is in the form of a 20-point test question. The average learning outcomes of students in the experimental class were 86.87, the control class was 82.96. In the experimental class, an increase in N-Gain knowledge of 0.76 was obtained in the high category. While in the control class, an increase in knowledge or N-Gain of 0.69 was obtained in the medium category. The results of the analysis of both groups used the t test at a significant level and obtained tcount = 2.315 and ttable = 1.998 so that tcalculate > ttable, then Ha is accepted meaning that there is an influence of the REACT Learning Model on student geography learning outcomes.

The research method used in this research is the Quasi Experiment Method with the research design of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampling was done by Random Sampling technique. The samples in this study were students of class X.1 as an experimental class using the Creative Problem Solving learning model and class X.3 as a control class using Conventional learning media. Data collection uses pretest and posttest instruments in the form of multiple choices that have been tested for validity, reliability. The results of the study explained that 1) The application of the Creative Problem Solving model to improve students' creative thinking skills at Pertiwi 1 Padang High School in class X.1 as an experimental class is declared quite effective to be applied, this is evidenced by documentary evidence and observations related to the activeness of students in applying the Creative Problem Solving model, which of the 4 indicators of creative thinking ability, there are 3 indicators that students understand best including Fluency (the ability to express many ideas fluently and confidently related to atmospheric problems), flexibility (diversity, being able to produce many diverse ideas regarding solutions to reduce the impact of air pollution in the surrounding environment), originality (creating an answer from the direction of one's own views related to atmospheric problems in the environment) The success of this application is supported by school facilities and infrastructure such as internet connections (Wi-Fi), and students are allowed to use laptops and mobile phones. 2) The effect of the Creative Problem Solving learning model on students' creative thinking skills in class X.1 SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang with the average posttest of the experimental class of 87.24 and the average posttest of class X.3 as the control class of 71.94. Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited research on the socioeconomic conditions of recipients of the Kartu Keluarga Sejahtera (KKS; Prosperous Family Card) in Nagari Pilubang, Sungai Limau District, Padang Pariaman Regency, despite the significant implications of this phenomenon for the effectiveness of KKS as an instrument of poverty alleviation. The study aims to describe the conditions of income, fulfillment of basic needs, health, and education among KKS beneficiary households in Nagari Pilubang. A descriptive quantitative design was employed with a population comprising all 691 KKS recipients, from which a sample of 87 respondents was determined using the Slovin formula and selected through proportional random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation and analyzed using percentage techniques. The findings show that, in terms of income, household income levels of KKS recipients do not yet meet the expected criteria, although the types of employment of heads of households are in accordance with the categories stipulated by the program. The fulfillment of basic needs is considered to meet the criteria, as indicated by housing conditions (home ownership status, wall type, floor type, and water sources), clothing (purchase of clothing at least once a year), and food consumption (animal protein intake dominated by fish). Health conditions are also deemed to meet the criteria because most community members utilize primary health care (puskesmas) services through government-subsidized BPJS health insurance. In terms of education, the conditions of KKS recipients are aligned with program criteria, as the last educational level of heads of households and mothers is generally completed primary school or no schooling. Overall, the results indicate that although KKS recipients remain in the low-income category, their basic needs fulfillment, access to health services, and minimum educational conditions are consistent with KKS eligibility criteria, thereby providing input for local governments to improve targeting policies and design family empowerment programs for beneficiary households.

Abstract

This study originates from the need to develop agrotourism destinations based on local potential, particularly in the context of Melky Strawberry Farm in Agam Regency. The objectives of the research are to: (1) analyze the potential of Melky Strawberry Farm as an agrotourism destination; (2) evaluate the level of accessibility to the location; and (3) assess the condition of available facilities and infrastructure. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Informants included the farm owner, visitors, local community members, and village government officials. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with data validity ensured through source and method triangulation. The findings indicate that Melky Strawberry Farm holds significant potential for development as a nature-based and educational agrotourism destination, offering key attractions such as scenic natural views, a cool climate, and strawberry-picking activities. Its strategic location along the Bukittinggi–Sicincin route via Malalak offers strong accessibility advantages. However, the development of the destination faces challenges, including limited supporting facilities, the absence of formal institutional structures, and an unstructured promotional strategy. The study recommends strengthening institutional governance, improving tourism infrastructure, and optimizing digital promotion to establish Melky Strawberry Farm as a leading agrotourism destination in Agam Regency.

Abstract

The development of engaging and interactive instructional media is necessary to support students’ understanding of the topic of Indonesia’s strategic position at the senior high school level. This study aimed (1) to implement Monopoly game–based instructional media for the topic of Indonesia’s strategic position in Grade XI Phase F at SMAN 1 Sutera and (2) to analyze the influence of Monopoly media on students’ creativity and learning outcomes. A quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design was employed, involving an experimental class using Monopoly media and a control class receiving conventional instruction. Data were analyzed using JASP v0.95.4 through a series of validity, reliability, normality, and homogeneity tests. Students’ creativity was analyzed using an independent-samples t-test, while learning outcomes were analyzed using the non-parametric Mann–Whitney test. The results show that (1) the implementation of Monopoly-based instructional media proceeded well and received positive responses from students; (2) Monopoly media had a significant effect on students’ creativity, with a p-value of 0.012 and a t-value of 2.572; and (3) Monopoly media had a significant effect on learning outcomes, as indicated by a higher normalized gain score in the experimental class (0.70, medium category) compared with the control class (0.28, low category), as well as a U-value of 1128. These findings confirm that the use of Monopoly-based instructional media can enhance students’ creativity and learning outcomes on the topic of Indonesia’s strategic position.
