Abstract

Tourism activities are not supported by technology so that tourism potential is not optimally utilized. The platform designed for tourism in Pulai Anak Air is WebGIS Taourism. The program is carried out by involving the Pulai Anak Air Village Government, POKDARWIS, Homestay Managers, and local MSMEs. The method used is Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and training with WebGIS Tourism data management practices and updates that involve participants directly. The number of participants is 10 people who are representatives of each Institution. The results achieved are that training participants are able to update data in real time according to the needs of tourism, homestays, and MSMEs. Based on the evaluation conducted by the Community Service Team of training participants, it was found that 6 out of 10 participants were able to manage WebGIS Tourism independently. In addition, the sustainability of the program carried out by the team is in the form of regular mentoring related to website management.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran Geografi di SMA Sekolah Rakyat Universitas Negeri Padang dengan pendekatan saintifik berbasis proyek sesuai Kurikulum Merdeka, menganalisis implementasi pembelajaran dalam mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan teknologi dan partisipasi siswa, serta mengevaluasi pembelajaran dalam mengukur kompetensi pemecahan masalah dan kemampuan penerapan konsep Geografi dalam kehidupan nyata. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dengan guru dan siswa, serta dokumentasi perangkat pembelajaran. Analisis data meliputi tahap kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan untuk membangun pemahaman yang komprehensif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran Geografi dilaksanakan melalui tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi yang telah disusun sesuai Kurikulum Merdeka dan terintegrasi dengan Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Namun, dalam implementasinya masih ditemukan dinamika dan tantangan di kelas. Evaluasi dilakukan secara formatif dan sumatif, tetapi belum sepenuhnya berbasis kompetensi. Secara umum, pembelajaran telah menunjukkan upaya inovatif, namun masih diperlukan peningkatan pelatihan guru, sarana digital, dan media pembelajaran interaktif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis potensi objek wisata Taman Panorama Baru di Kota Bukittinggi, mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambat pengembangannya, serta merumuskan strategi pariwisata berkelanjutan berbasis SWOT. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif melalui observasi lapangan, kuesioner skala Likert, dan wawancara dengan pengelola serta pemangku kepentingan, dengan purposive sampling terhadap 98 responden wisatawan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan potensi wisata tergolong tinggi dengan nilai mean aksesibilitas 0,91, amenitas 0,93, auxiliary 0,96, dan promosi 0,84. Uji reliabilitas instrumen memperoleh nilai Cronbach’s Alpha 0,70–0,78 yang menandakan data reliabel. Faktor pendukung utama meliputi akses jalan 93% dan promosi media sosial 91%, sedangkan hambatan utama adalah keterbatasan variasi atraksi serta informasi promosi. Analisis SWOT menempatkan kawasan pada Kuadran I (SO), sehingga strategi yang direkomendasikan adalah strategi pertumbuhan melalui pemanfaatan keunggulan alam, peningkatan atraksi wisata, penguatan promosi digital, dan pelibatan aktif masyarakat lokal secara berkelanjutan. Pendekatan ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan daya saing destinasi sekaligus menjaga kelestarian lingkungan wisata

Abstract

Kegiatan pariwisata memiliki peran penting dalam mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi lokal, terutama di kawasan pesisir. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh aktivitas wisatawan terhadap perekonomian pelaku usaha dan tenaga kerja di kawasan Pantai Padang, Kecamatan Padang Barat, Kota Padang. Metode yang digunakan adalah mixed methods dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 100 responden yang merupakan pelaku usaha dan tenaga kerja yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner dan wawancara, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif serta menggunakan pendekatan Keynesian Local Income Multiplier dan Income Multiplier Ratio. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas wisata di Pantai Padang memberikan dampak ekonomi yang signifikan terhadap masyarakat lokal. Nilai Keynesian Income Multiplier sebesar 1,71 menunjukkan bahwa setiap peningkatan pengeluaran wisatawan mampu meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat sebesar 1,71 kali. Selain itu, nilai Income Multiplier Ratio I sebesar 1,13 dan Ratio II sebesar 1,22 menunjukkan bahwa manfaat ekonomi tidak hanya dirasakan oleh pelaku usaha utama, tetapi juga menyebar kepada tenaga kerja dan sektor pendukung lainnya. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan pariwisata yang terencana dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat lokal secara lebih merata.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application and effectiveness of Spatial.io-based geography learning media in improving critical thinking skills of grade X students at SMAN 1 Batipuh. Critical thinking skills refer to critical thinking indicators quoted from Bagas, namely: interpretation, analysis, evaluation, conclusions, explanations, self-regulation. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a nonequivalent control group design. The research subjects consisted of an experimental class and a control class. Data collection techniques were carried out through critical thinking ability tests in the form of pre-tests and post-tests. Data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and independent sample t-tests. The results showed that students' critical thinking skills in the experimental class experienced a higher increase than the control class. It can be concluded that the application of Spatial.io-based learning media is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills and supporting the creation of innovative geography learning.

Abstract

This study originates from the need to develop agrotourism destinations based on local potential, particularly in the context of Melky Strawberry Farm in Agam Regency. The objectives of the research are to: (1) analyze the potential of Melky Strawberry Farm as an agrotourism destination; (2) evaluate the level of accessibility to the location; and (3) assess the condition of available facilities and infrastructure. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Informants included the farm owner, visitors, local community members, and village government officials. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with data validity ensured through source and method triangulation. The findings indicate that Melky Strawberry Farm holds significant potential for development as a nature-based and educational agrotourism destination, offering key attractions such as scenic natural views, a cool climate, and strawberry-picking activities. Its strategic location along the Bukittinggi–Sicincin route via Malalak offers strong accessibility advantages. However, the development of the destination faces challenges, including limited supporting facilities, the absence of formal institutional structures, and an unstructured promotional strategy. The study recommends strengthening institutional governance, improving tourism infrastructure, and optimizing digital promotion to establish Melky Strawberry Farm as a leading agrotourism destination in Agam Regency.

Abstract

Student learning outcomes in Geography at SMA Negeri 1 Ampek Nagari remain relatively low, partly due to the use of conventional, teacher-centered instructional methods that are monotonous and provide limited opportunities for critical thinking and deeper understanding of the material. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model on student learning outcomes in Geography. The research employed a quantitative experimental method with a Quasi-Experimental Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The sample consisted of two classes an experimental class and a control class, each comprising 33 students selected through total sampling. Data were collected using tests, observation, and documentation, and analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistics, including normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis testing using paired-sample t-tests and independent-sample t-tests in SPSS. The results show a significant improvement in the experimental class, with mean scores increasing from 50.30 (pre-test) to 74.85 (post-test), compared to the control class, which improved from 51.06 to 63.94. The paired-sample t-test yielded p < 0.001, indicating a significant effect of the Jigsaw model on student learning outcomes. The study concludes that the Jigsaw cooperative learning model has a positive and significant impact on the Geography learning outcomes of Grade XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Ampek Nagari.

Abstract

The limited implementation of mobile-based geospatial technology in Geography education forms the background of this study, despite its significant potential to enhance students' creativity and learning outcomes. This research aims to (1) analyze the effect of using QField for QGIS integrated with the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) model on students' creativity, and (2) describe its impact on learning outcomes in the topic of basic mapping at SMAN 6 Solok Selatan. A quantitative approach was used with a quasi-experimental design. The sample was selected through purposive sampling, involving two classes—E2 as the experimental group and E4 as the control group. Data were collected through tests, questionnaires, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using normality and homogeneity tests, t-tests, and N-Gain calculations. The results indicate that integrating QField for QGIS with the TAI model significantly improves students' creativity (p < 0.05), shifting from the "moderately creative" to the "creative" category. N-Gain analysis shows an average learning outcome increase of 0.71 (high category) in the experimental class and 0.51 (moderate category) in the control class. The study concludes that integrating mobile-based geospatial applications with cooperative learning models is effective in enhancing students' creativity and academic performance in basic mapping materials. The findings support the implementation of adaptive technological innovations in Geography education in response to digital advancements.

Abstract

The development of engaging and interactive instructional media is necessary to support students’ understanding of the topic of Indonesia’s strategic position at the senior high school level. This study aimed (1) to implement Monopoly game–based instructional media for the topic of Indonesia’s strategic position in Grade XI Phase F at SMAN 1 Sutera and (2) to analyze the influence of Monopoly media on students’ creativity and learning outcomes. A quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design was employed, involving an experimental class using Monopoly media and a control class receiving conventional instruction. Data were analyzed using JASP v0.95.4 through a series of validity, reliability, normality, and homogeneity tests. Students’ creativity was analyzed using an independent-samples t-test, while learning outcomes were analyzed using the non-parametric Mann–Whitney test. The results show that (1) the implementation of Monopoly-based instructional media proceeded well and received positive responses from students; (2) Monopoly media had a significant effect on students’ creativity, with a p-value of 0.012 and a t-value of 2.572; and (3) Monopoly media had a significant effect on learning outcomes, as indicated by a higher normalized gain score in the experimental class (0.70, medium category) compared with the control class (0.28, low category), as well as a U-value of 1128. These findings confirm that the use of Monopoly-based instructional media can enhance students’ creativity and learning outcomes on the topic of Indonesia’s strategic position.
