Abstract

Optical Network Terminal (ONT) devices are the main components in the Fiber to the Home (FTTH) network used by IndiHome to provide fiber optic-based internet services. ONT operates continuously for 24 hours, so the power consumption of this device contributes to household electricity use. In this final project aims to analyze ONT power consumption under various operational conditions and identify its effect on household electricity loads. The research method includes measuring ONT power consumption using a wattmeter in three usage scenarios: idle (no connected devices), normal (1-3 connected devices), and high load (more than 3 active streaming/gaming devices). Data were collected over several days to identify power consumption patterns. Utilization of power saving modes (if available), and selection of ONTs with better energy efficiency. The results of this study are expected to provide insights for IndiHome users to improve energy efficiency in internet use in households.

Abstract

English proficiency at MTs Nadlatut Thalibin, an Islamic boarding school in Tegalwatu Village, Probolinggo Regency, faces significant challenges due to limited exposure and practical use of English in students' daily lives. Conventional teaching methods and the lack of engaging media have resulted in low motivation and skills in English. To address this issue, the KKN Team of Universitas Nurul Jadid implemented the Mini English Village Program, aiming to improve English literacy among students through enjoyable and contextual activity-based learning. This program engaged students in interactive activities such as storytelling, morning talks, English games, and song-based learning. The activities aimed to enhance students' speaking and listening skills while providing them with opportunities to use English practically outside the classroom. Additionally, the program included training for teachers to design more creative and activity-based teaching methods. The evaluation results showed a significant improvement in students' speaking and listening skills. Students, who were previously hesitant, became more active in discussions and quickly absorbed new vocabulary through enjoyable activities. The Mini English Village Program successfully motivated students and provided them with an English learning experience that was applicable and relevant to their daily lives. This program proved to be effective in enhancing English literacy at MTs Nadlatut Thalibin and can serve as a model for other Islamic schools in rural areas.

Abstract

KKNT merupakan bentuk pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan melalui pendekatan lintas keilmuan untuk membantu permasalahan yang ada pada suatu daerah tertentu, dalam konteks ini dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Bonto Langkasa, Kecamatan Minasate’ne, Kabupaten Pangkajene dan Kepulauan, dimana daerah ini dikenal dengan hasil tambak ikan bandeng yang menjadi branding dari ikan bandeng di Kabupaten Pangkajene dan Kepulauan. Ikan bandeng merupakan salah satu jenis ikan potensial yang dapat dibudidayakan dan tidak hanya diminati oleh masyarakat dalam negeri tetapi juga dapat diekspor ke negara lain. Teknologi cabut duri yang telah diterapkan pada komoditas ikan bandeng fillet Baduri menjadi produk unggulan di Kelurahan Bonto Langkasa, Kabupaten Pangkajene dan Kepulauan. Ikan bandeng segar tanpa duri siap diolah menjadi ikan bandeng fillet krispi dan ikan bandeng fillet marinasi dengan tujuan meningkatkan variasi ikan bandeng fillet dan nilai jual produk. Abstract

This Paper described design a fuzzy logic-based temperature control system for Paint Protection Film (PPF) installation workshop spaces. PPF installation requires optimal temperature conditions (20-27°C) to ensure proper adhesion, but workshop environments often experience temperature fluctuations that compromise installation quality. The research method uses computational simulation with a modified Mamdani fuzzy logic approach, incorporating more aggressive membership functions, adaptive aggression factors, and integral control. Simulation was conducted with a setpoint of 20°C, initial temperature of 30°C, and duration of 30 minutes. Results show the system successfully achieved a steady-state error of 1.491°C, overshoot of 45.14%, and settling time of 30.0 minutes, meeting validation criteria with steady-state error < 1.5°C. The system maintained temperature within the manufacturer-recommended range for PPF installation. The research concludes that modified fuzzy logic control strategies effectively enhance system performance for specific PPF workshop applications. The main contribution is the development of a control system tailored to the specific requirements of PPF workshop environments, filling a research gap in intelligent control system applications for this context.

Abstract

Students' lack of ability to answer questions that do not match the examples is the background for carrying out community service activities in addition to students' lack of motivation in learning. Students' fixation on examples causes students to have difficulty when given questions that are slightly different. There are several causes of students' difficulties in answering questions based on the results of analysis with the teacher, namely students' critical thinking abilities and students' numeracy literacy. These two abilities are the basis for students to solve problems using the information provided from the questions and concepts they have studied. This community service activity is carried out with the aim of providing stimulus to students to strengthen students' critical thinking and numeracy literacy skills. The stimulus is provided in the form of simple and non-routine questions using Pisa questions and questions related to third-dimensional material in the form of essays. Apart from that, it is also interspersed with math games to motivate students to learn.This activity was carried out at SMK Ma'arif NU Martapura.The results of the service show that there are five indicators of critical thinking skills and three indicators of numeracy literacy that are met. Apart from that, students also begin to have the courage to speak and show a positive attitude in learning. This can be a recommendation for teachers to provide more stimulus for non-routine questions so that students' critical thinking skills and numeracy literacy are further honed.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kinerja motor induksi tiga fasa dengan memodifikasi resistansi stator menggunakan rheostat dan mensimulasikan dampaknya melalui software Automation Studio. Modifikasi dilakukan dengan menambahkan rheostat pada salah satu fase stator untuk menciptakan ketidakseimbangan arus. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa penambahan rheostat menyebabkan penurunan RPM motor dari 1430 menjadi 1387 RPM, sementara torsi meningkat dari 5,16 N.m menjadi 5,58 N.m. Tegangan pada fase dengan rheostat menurun dari 399,78 volt menjadi 258,3 volt, dan arus menurun dari 1,95 A menjadi 0,9 A. Daya motor menurun dari 1080,08 watt menjadi 498,83 watt, dan efisiensi turun dari 98,25% menjadi 45,35%. Ketidakseimbangan arus akibat modifikasi resistansi terbukti berdampak signifikan terhadap kinerja motor induksi tiga fasa, mencakup penurunan putaran, peningkatan torsi, penurunan tegangan dan arus, serta penurunan daya dan efisiensi motor.

Abstract

The training Using Android Apps to Improve Teachers’ Skills in Electric Motor Installation Engineering at SMK-TR Sinar Husni Labuhan Deli was conducted to address this issue. The training aims to improve teachers' understanding of Android applications, the benefits of information technology, and its application in designing electric motor installation circuits. The training method includes theoretical and practical sessions. The theoretical sessions included an introduction to Android applications, basic principles of information technology, and renewable energy. Practical sessions involved hands-on simulations of the use of Android apps, interactive discussions, and case studies. The training results showed a significant increase in teachers' knowledge and skills in using Android apps. Teachers were also more creative in developing learning materials and motivated to innovate. The positive impact is felt on students, with more interactive learning methods, increasing their interest in learning and preparing them for the world of work. The training also strengthened the collaboration between Universitas Pembangunan Panca Budi and SMK-TR Sinar Husni, improving teacher competence and the relevance of graduates to industry needs. Overall, the training provided great benefits for teachers, students, and educational institutions, and contributed significantly to advancing the quality of vocational education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive research with a type of library research and uses primary and secondary sources. The results of this study indicate that the expressions of al-Ta'rif and al-Tankir used in the verses of the Koran have a very significant influence on the meaning of the verses of the Koran that contain these forms of expression. The use of these two forms of expression has a deep meaning and so that the verses of the Qur'an can be understood in accordance with the true intentions desired by Allah Swt. The verses of the Koran have a specific purpose, so that the interpretation of the verses of the Koran that use these two forms of expression can be fully understood as the meaning desired by the giver of revelation, namely Allah SWT. The purpose of this study is to reveal the hidden meaning of the use of the expressions al-Ta'rif and al-Tankir in the verses of the Qur'an that use these forms of expression. Apart from that, it is also to give Muslims an understanding of the influence of the forms of al-ta'rif and al-tankir in relation to the meaning of a verse.

Abstract

Automatic door opening system with facial recognition is an application that is widely used to improve security and comfort in various fields, such as offices, homes, and other limited areas. This study implements the Local Binary Pattern Histogram (LBPH) algorithm in an ESP32-based automatic door opening system integrated with an OV2640 camera. LBPH was chosen because of its superiority in recognizing faces even with varying lighting conditions and imperfect image quality. This system works by capturing facial images through an OV2640 camera, then processing the image using the LBPH algorithm to extract facial features. The results of facial recognition are then sent to the ESP32 which controls the automatic door locking system. In this implementation, the ESP32 is used as a microcontroller to connect the camera, data processing, and control the door actuator. Tests were conducted to measure the accuracy of facial recognition and system performance in opening the door. The test results show that the system can recognize faces with a high level of accuracy and open the door automatically in a short time, thereby increasing the efficiency and security of the system.

Abstract

Pentingnya perlindungan dan pemeliharaan motor listrik di lingkungan industri yang rentan terhadap beban lebih atau overloading. Overloading terjadi ketika motor listrik dioperasikan dengan beban melebihi kapasitas normal, berpotensi menyebabkan kerusakan dan risiko kebakaran. Sebuah program pelatihan teknisi industri di PT. Prima Multi Peralatan diinisiasi untuk mengajarkan implementasi dan pemeliharaan sistem proteksi motor listrik. Metode dalam pelatihan meliputi sesi teori dan praktik, membekali peserta dengan pengetahuan tentang konsep dasar proteksi, komponen sistem proteksi, dan cara mengatur serta mengimplementasikan proteksi pada motor listrik. Hasil dari pelatihan ini termasuk peningkatan pengetahuan mendalam tentang proteksi motor listrik, keterampilan dalam implementasi sistem proteksi, dan kemampuan pemeliharaan. Para peserta mampu mengidentifikasi risiko beban lebih dan menerapkan sistem proteksi yang tepat. Hal ini membantu mengoptimalkan penggunaan energi, meningkatkan efisiensi operasional perusahaan, dan mengurangi kerusakan dan gangguan produksi.
