Abstract

ABSTRACT The management of teacher performance at SD Muhammadiyah Sukorejo Kendal is carried out through four key stages: planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation. This study aims to analyze how the teacher performance management process is applied at the school and to understand how evaluation and coaching are conducted by the principal and management team. A descriptive approach was used, with in-depth interviews conducted with the principal, teachers, and management team. The findings show that performance planning is carried out through an annual work meeting, involving the entire management team and aligning with the school's vision and mission. Teacher performance organization involves task allocation based on the teachers' educational background. The implementation of teacher performance includes professional development through seminars, workshops, and teacher workgroups (KKG), as well as providing motivation in the form of incentives. Performance evaluation is conducted through evaluation meetings, supervision, and Teacher Performance Appraisal (PKG), providing feedback to improve teacher performance. Although various efforts have been made to improve the quality of teaching, there are still shortcomings in lesson planning, particularly related to the preparation of lesson plans (RPP). This study suggests strengthening lesson planning and further developing teacher professional skills. Keywords: performance management, performance evaluation, teacher development ABSTRAK Manajemen kinerja guru di SD Muhammadiyah Sukorejo Kendal dilakukan melalui empat tahap penting, yaitu perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi kinerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana proses manajemen kinerja guru diterapkan di sekolah tersebut dan untuk mengetahui bagaimana evaluasi serta pembinaan dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah dan tim manajemen. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif dengan wawancara mendalam terhadap kepala sekolah, guru, dan tim manajemen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan kinerja dilakukan melalui rapat kerja di awal tahun, melibatkan seluruh tim manajemen dan disesuaikan dengan visi dan misi sekolah. Pengorganisasian kinerja guru dilakukan dengan membagi tugas sesuai dengan latar belakang pendidikan guru. Pelaksanaan kinerja guru meliputi pembinaan profesionalisme guru melalui seminar, workshop, dan KKG, serta pemberian motivasi berupa insentif. Evaluasi kinerja dilakukan melalui rapat evaluasi, supervisi, dan PKG yang memberikan umpan balik untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru. Meskipun sudah ada berbagai upaya untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran, masih terdapat kekurangan dalam hal perencanaan pembelajaran, terutama terkait pembuatan RPP. Penelitian ini menyarankan untuk lebih memperkuat perencanaan pembelajaran dan pengembangan profesionalisme guru. Kata Kunci: manajemen kinerja, evaluasi kinerja, pembinaan guru

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of self-confidence on students' critical thinking skills in the subject of Fiqh at MTs Bustanul Ulum Jayasakti. A quantitative method with a correlational design was used in this research. The sample consisted of 35 eighth-grade students, with data collected through questionnaires to measure self-confidence and tests to assess students' critical thinking skills. Simple linear regression, normality test, linearity test, and homogeneity test were used to analyze the data. The results showed that self-confidence had a positive and significant effect on students' critical thinking skills, with a contribution of 74%. Based on the hypothesis test, the significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 means that the alternative hypothesis is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that increasing students' self-confidence has the potential to improve their critical thinking skills. This study recommends the development of teaching strategies that can enhance students' self-confidence as an effort to support the improvement of their critical thinking skills in the future. Keywords: Self-Confidence, Critical Thinking Skills, Learning ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh rasa percaya diri terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada mata pelajaran Fiqih di MTs Bustanul Ulum Jayasakti. Dalam penelitian ini, digunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 35 siswa kelas VIII, dengan pengumpulan data melalui angket untuk mengukur rasa percaya diri dan tes untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Uji regresi linear sederhana, uji normalitas, uji linearitas, dan uji homogenitas digunakan untuk menganalisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rasa percaya diri memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, dengan kontribusi sebesar 74%. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis, nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, yang berarti hipotesis alternatif diterima. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa meningkatkan rasa percaya diri siswa berpotensi memperbaiki kemampuan berpikir kritis mereka. Penelitian ini menyarankan perlunya pengembangan strategi pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan rasa percaya diri siswa, sebagai upaya untuk mendukung peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis mereka di masa mendatang. Abstract

This research focuses on the analysis of Islamic spiritual extracurricular activities at SMA Negeri 13 Semarang, exploring their role in shaping students' religious character, tolerance, and social harmony. The main purpose of this article is to evaluate how these extracurricular activities contribute to the internalization of religious moderation, particularly in a pluralistic society like Indonesia. The research is motivated by the growing importance of fostering tolerance and preventing radicalism through educational programs. The study employs qualitative methods, including observation, interviews with teachers, and document analysis of extracurricular activities. The hypothesis is that Islamic spiritual extracurriculars enhance students' religious understanding and promote interfaith cooperation. The findings reveal that activities such as weekly religious studies (ta‘lim/kiss), community services like mosque cleaning, and interfaith charity work significantly improve students' understanding of moderation, tolerance, and social responsibility. Furthermore, these activities contribute to a positive school culture that strengthens unity among students of different religious backgrounds. This research contributes to the broader field of education by demonstrating how extracurricular programs can be effectively used to promote religious moderation and prevent radicalization. In conclusion, the study emphasizes the vital role of extracurricular activities in fostering a balanced and tolerant mindset among students, making a significant contribution to peace-building and social harmony in schools.

Abstract

Memory ability plays an important role in achieving optimal results in cognitive aspects, especially in the context of education which is measured through learning achievement. One of the methods used to hone memory is through memorizing the Qur'an. A study was conducted to examine the effect of the ability to memorize the Qur'an on improving cognitive aspects in tahfidz class students at Bustanul Ulum High School in Central Lampung. The research method used was quantitative involving 33 participants. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires to assess the ability to memorize the Qur'an, and documentation of students' report cards. The results showed that the ability to memorize the Qur'an had a significant effect on improving students' cognitive aspects, with an R Square value of 29.7%. That is, about 29.7% of the improvement in cognitive aspects can be explained by the ability to memorize the Qur'an. Other factors outside the method of memorizing al-Qur'an also contribute to the increase.

Abstract

This research is aiming to examine the process of Islam's adaptation to local culture in Indonesia, which is creating a distinct and unique Islamic identity. Islam, which is arriving in Indonesia as a global religion, is experiencing dynamic interaction with local traditions and cultures, resulting in syncretism in various aspects of society. Through a qualitative approach using literature study method, this research is finding that Islam in Indonesia is not only being passively accepted, but is undergoing deep negotiation and transformation, both in religious practices, social structures, arts, and law. One of the main findings is the integration between Islamic teachings and local cultural practices, such as in religious rituals, performing arts, and architecture, which is showing a strong influence of local culture on the form of Islam developing in Indonesia. However, this research is also revealing the tensions between more universal Islamic teachings and the more particular local cultural values, which are sometimes creating challenges in maintaining harmony between the two. This research is concluding that Islam in Indonesia is the result of a complex adaptation process, involving cultural syncretism that is not only creating harmony but also sometimes generating tensions. For further research, it is being suggested to explore more the regional differences in the acceptance of Islam and how this adaptation process is unfolding in different areas of Indonesia. Abstract

ABSTRACT Education plays a crucial role in the advancement of a nation, including Indonesia, which continuously updates its curriculum to align with the demands of the times and student needs. In the context of Akidah Akhlak learning at Madrasah Aliyah Bustanul Ulum Jayasakti, student learning motivation remains a significant challenge due to monotonous teaching methods and limited use of technology. This study aims to enhance students’ learning motivation by implementing technology-based learning media such as interactive PowerPoint, Wordwall, and game-based learning. The research employed a classroom action research method with a quantitative approach, involving 36 students of class X-1 as research subjects. The study was conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through observation, tests, and interviews, then analyzed descriptively using statistical methods. The results showed an increase in students’ learning motivation exceeding 80%, evidenced by greater active participation and enthusiasm during the learning process. In conclusion, integrating technology in Akidah Akhlak learning effectively improves student motivation while positively impacting their engagement and understanding of the material. This study recommends further development of technology-based teaching methods to enhance the quality of religious education and overall learning motivation in the future. ABSTRAK Pendidikan yang maju menjadi kunci kemajuan sebuah negara, termasuk Indonesia yang terus melakukan pembaruan kurikulum untuk menyesuaikan dengan perkembangan zaman dan kebutuhan siswa. Dalam konteks pembelajaran Akidah Akhlak di Madrasah Aliyah Bustanul Ulum Jayasakti, motivasi belajar siswa masih menjadi tantangan utama akibat metode pembelajaran yang cenderung monoton dan minimnya pemanfaatan teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa melalui penerapan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi, seperti PowerPoint interaktif, Wordwall, dan game-based learning. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan pendekatan kuantitatif yang melibatkan siswa kelas X-1 sebanyak 36 orang sebagai subjek penelitian. Pelaksanaan penelitian terdiri dari dua siklus dengan tahap perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, tes, dan wawancara, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa hingga mencapai lebih dari 80%, terbukti dari peningkatan partisipasi aktif dan antusiasme siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Kesimpulannya, integrasi teknologi dalam pembelajaran Akidah Akhlak efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa, sekaligus memberikan dampak positif terhadap keterlibatan dan pemahaman materi. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan metode pembelajaran berbasis teknologi untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan keagamaan dan motivasi belajar secara umum di masa depan.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The phenomenon of Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) has become increasingly prominent among adolescents, particularly due to the intensive use of social media. FOMO negatively impacts mental health, leading to issues such as anxiety, academic stress, and impaired concentration in learning. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of classroom guidance services based on psychoeducation in reducing FOMO symptoms among high school students. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, consisting of two cycles. The research subjects were 25 eleventh-grade students at Alwashliyah Senior High School in Medan, who exhibited moderate to high levels of FOMO based on pretest results. Data collection instruments included a FOMO questionnaire adapted from the scale developed by Przybylski et al. (2013), participatory observation, and informal interviews. The results showed a decrease in FOMO scores from 72.4 (high category) before the intervention, to 61.2 (moderate category) after the first cycle, and 50.8 (low category) after the second cycle. This reduction indicates that psychoeducational-based classroom guidance services are effective in raising students’ awareness of the impacts of FOMO and equipping them with self-management strategies for social media use. These findings support the importance of integrating psychoeducational approaches into school counseling programs to enhance students’ psychological well-being in the digital era. ABSTRAK Fenomena Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) menjadi isu yang semakin menonjol di kalangan remaja, terutama akibat penggunaan media sosial yang intensif. FOMO berdampak negatif terhadap kesehatan mental, seperti kecemasan, stres akademik, dan gangguan konsentrasi belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas layanan bimbingan klasikal berbasis psikoedukasi dalam mengurangi gejala FOMO pada siswa sekolah menengah. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan McTaggart yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah 25 siswa kelas XI SMA Alwashliyah Medan dengan tingkat FOMO sedang hingga tinggi berdasarkan hasil pretest. Instrumen pengumpulan data mencakup angket FOMO yang dimodifikasi dari skala Przybylski et al. (2013), observasi partisipatif, dan wawancara informal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya penurunan skor FOMO dari 72,4 (kategori tinggi) sebelum tindakan, menjadi 61,2 (kategori sedang) setelah siklus I, dan 50,8 (kategori rendah) setelah siklus II. Penurunan ini menunjukkan bahwa layanan bimbingan klasikal berbasis psikoedukasi efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran siswa mengenai dampak FOMO dan membekali mereka dengan strategi pengelolaan diri dalam penggunaan media sosial. Temuan ini mendukung pentingnya integrasi pendekatan psikoedukatif dalam program bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan psikologis siswa di era digital.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Speaking skill (Mah?rah al-Kal?m) in Arabic is becoming an essential aspect in mastering Islamic knowledge, especially for students in the pesantren environment. However, the reality in the field is showing that many students are experiencing difficulties in developing this skill because the teaching methods being used are not stimulating oral activities optimally. This study is aiming to analyze the effectiveness of the Hiw?r method (dialogue) in improving the Mah?rah al-Kal?m of grade XI students at Madrasah Aliyah Bustanul Ulum Jayasakti. This research is using a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach conducted in two cycles, with 37 students as the subjects. Each cycle is consisting of the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques are including observation, documentation, and demonstration, with data being analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods. The results of the study are showing that students’ Mah?rah al-Kal?m ability is increasing significantly from 40% in the pre-cycle to 64% in cycle I, and reaching 84% in cycle II. This improvement is indicating that the implementation of the Hiw?r method is giving a positive impact on students' Arabic speaking skills. In addition to increasing students’ confidence and active participation, this method is also creating a more communicative and contextual learning atmosphere. Therefore, the Hiw?r method is being recommended as an effective learning strategy in developing Mah?rah al-Kal?m, and it is having promising application prospects across various levels of Islamic education. ABSTRAK Kemampuan berbicara (Mah?rah al-Kal?m) dalam bahasa Arab merupakan aspek penting dalam penguasaan ilmu keislaman, terutama bagi siswa di lingkungan pesantren. Namun, realitas di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa banyak siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam mengembangkan keterampilan ini karena metode pembelajaran yang digunakan belum mampu menstimulus aktivitas lisan secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas metode Hiw?r (dialog) dalam meningkatkan Mah?rah al-Kal?m siswa kelas XI di Madrasah Aliyah Bustanul Ulum Jayasakti. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 37 siswa. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, dokumentasi, dan demonstrasi, dengan analisis data secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan Mah?rah al-Kal?m siswa mengalami peningkatan signifikan dari pra-siklus sebesar 40% menjadi 64% pada siklus I, dan mencapai 84% pada siklus II. Peningkatan ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode Hiw?r memberikan dampak positif terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa dalam bahasa Arab. Selain meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dan partisipasi aktif siswa, metode ini juga menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang lebih komunikatif dan kontekstual. Dengan demikian, metode Hiw?r dapat direkomendasikan sebagai strategi pembelajaran yang efektif dalam pengembangan Mah?rah al-Kal?m, serta memiliki prospek aplikatif untuk diterapkan di berbagai jenjang pendidikan keislaman lainnya.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The transformation of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum within the Merdeka Belajar policy context represents a strategic effort to address educational challenges in the era of globalization and Indonesia’s socio-cultural dynamics. This study focuses on analyzing the dynamics of implementing the Merdeka curriculum in PAI, emphasizing changes in teaching methods, the role of teachers, the utilization of technology, and the integration of the Indonesian Student Profile values. The research employs a qualitative approach through a literature review of primary and secondary sources from the past ten years. The research stages include data collection via document analysis, comparative analysis, and synthesis of empirical and conceptual findings. Results indicate that the PAI curriculum transformation occurs in a complex context, with major challenges including teacher readiness, infrastructure limitations, and resistance to traditional learning cultures. However, significant potential exists through the application of innovative teaching methods and digital technology to enhance contextual and humanistic religious education quality. The study concludes that a holistic approach to PAI curriculum development is necessary—not only adjusting content but also the learning culture and systems to align with the values of Merdeka Belajar and the Indonesian Student Profile. This research recommends strengthening teacher capacity and equitable provision of facilities as strategic steps to support the sustainable transformation of religious education in Indonesia. ABSTRAK Transformasi kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dalam konteks kebijakan Merdeka Belajar merupakan upaya strategis untuk menjawab tantangan pendidikan di era globalisasi dan dinamika sosial budaya Indonesia. Fokus penelitian ini adalah menganalisis dinamika implementasi kurikulum Merdeka pada PAI, dengan menyoroti perubahan metode pembelajaran, peran guru, pemanfaatan teknologi, dan integrasi nilai Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi literatur dari sumber-sumber primer dan sekunder terkini selama sepuluh tahun terakhir. Tahapan penelitian meliputi pengumpulan data melalui kajian dokumentasi, analisis komparatif, serta sintesis temuan empiris dan konseptual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa transformasi kurikulum PAI berjalan dalam konteks yang kompleks, dengan kendala utama pada kesiapan guru, keterbatasan infrastruktur, dan resistensi budaya pembelajaran tradisional. Namun, terdapat potensi besar melalui penerapan metode pembelajaran inovatif dan teknologi digital untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan agama yang kontekstual dan humanis. Kesimpulan penelitian menegaskan perlunya pendekatan holistik dalam pengembangan kurikulum PAI, yang tidak hanya menyesuaikan konten, tetapi juga budaya dan sistem pembelajaran secara menyeluruh agar selaras dengan nilai-nilai Merdeka Belajar dan Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi untuk penguatan kapasitas guru dan pemerataan sarana-prasarana sebagai langkah strategis dalam mendukung keberlanjutan transformasi pendidikan agama di Indonesia.

Abstract

In the rapidly evolving digital era, MTs 1 Lampung Tengah faces significant challenges in enhancing its competitiveness amid increasingly tight competition. One of the primary issues is how the institution can effectively manage educational quality to meet the demands of the digital age. This study aims to analyze the implementation of madrasah quality management in efforts to improve institutional competitiveness in the digital era. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The primary respondents include the head of the madrasah, teachers, and administrative staff involved in quality management. The findings indicate that the implementation of quality management at MTs 1 Lampung Tengah encompasses several key aspects, such as enhancing the competencies of teaching staff through information and communication technology (ICT) training, utilizing an integrated information management system, and applying stringent assessment standards. This quality management implementation has proven effective in improving educational quality, as reflected in the increased student achievements and parent satisfaction with educational services. Additionally, the quality management practices allow the madrasah to be more responsive to technological changes and the dynamic demands of the education market. The implications of this study suggest that quality management in madrasahs, which focuses on enhancing digital skills and technology adaptation, plays a crucial role in boosting institutional competitiveness. As a result, MTs 1 Lampung Tengah is able to compete with other educational institutions and remain relevant in the digital era. The study recommends continuous development in quality management and the enhancement of technological infrastructure to support more effective learning processes.
