Abstract

ABSTRACTThe resource utilization of mackerel scad (Decapterus spp.) has been increasing in Muna waters which will be able to reduce the fish stock and if it exceeds the carrying capacity, it will lead to "overfishing". This study aims to determine the level of production, fishing effort and the optimal economic chain, both biologically and economically, so that the management of fish resources in Muna waters can be carried out in a sustainable way. The study was conducted by the case study method. The analysis method used in this research is biotechnic; bioeconomy; static and dynamic optimization apprOAch of Walter-Hilbon (WH) estimation model. The results of the study provide an indicator that the mackerel scad in Muna waters has not experienced "overfishing" both biological and economic. MEY condition that is optimal for economic management will be achieved when the maximum effort as many as 213.734 trips, production amounted to 3.117,61 tons and maximum economic chain at IDR 33.434,41 billion. The amount of fishing effort in MSY condition within the model is 248.342 trips whereas the production amounted to 3.179,35 tons with the economic chain of IDR 32.557,81 billion. Results of biotechnic, bioeconomy, static and dynamic optimization showed that actual production is still below the sustainable production indicated by high production, effort and economic chain. Based on this analysis, the business effort of mackerel scad can be increased from the current fishing effort of 128.496 trips to 213.734 trips that will give the maximum economic chain and management of fish resources sustainably.Keywords: bioeconomic, economic optimization, mackerel scad, resource management-------ABSTRAKPemanfaatan sumber daya ikan layang (Decapterus spp.) yang meningkat di perairan Kabupaten Muna dapat menurunkan stok ikan layang dan apabila melebihi daya dukung, maka akan menyebabkan terjadinya “overfishing”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan tingkat produksi, upaya tangkap dan rantai ekonomi yang optimal, baik secara biologi dan ekonomi, sehingga pengelolaan sumber daya ikan layang di perairan Kabupaten Muna dapat dilaksanakan secara berkelanjutan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode studi kasus. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis bioteknis, bioekonomi, optimasi statik dan dinamik menggunakan pendekatan model estimasi Walter-Hilbon (W-H). Hasil penelitian memberikan indikator bahwa ikan layang di perairan Kabupaten Muna belum mengalami “overfishing” baik secara biologi (biological overfishing) dan ekonomi (economic overfishing). Dalam kondisi MEY yang merupakan pengelolaan ekonomi optimal, terestimasi effort sebanyak 213.734 trip, produksi sebesar 3.117,61 ton dan rantai ekonomi maksimum yakni Rp 33.434.410.000. Jumlah effort dalam kondisi MSY adalah 248.342 trip, produksi sebesar 3.179,35 ton dan rantai ekonomi sebesar Rp 32.557.810.000. Hasil analisis bioteknis, bioekonomi, optimasi statik dan dinamik menunjukkan produksi aktual masih berada di bawah nilai produksi lestari baik dari produksi, effort dan rantai ekonomi. Berdasarkan analisis tersebut, effort usaha ikan layang dapat ditingkatkan dari upaya aktual sebesar 128.496 trip menjadi 213.734 trip yang akan memberikan rantai ekonomi maksimum dan pengelolaan sumber daya ikan layang secara lestari.Kata kunci: bioekonomi, optimasi ekonomi, pengelolaan sumber daya, ikan layang

Abstract

Baby fish tilapia is mostly consumed by society in fried the fish and crispy forms, but the information on the nutritional composition of the fish is limited. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the chemical composition and fatty acids of baby fish tilapia harvested in different periods reared under aquaponic system. The research was conducted in factorial design with single factor namely different harvesting periods (14 days, 21 days, 28 days, and 35 days). The parameters measured were morphometric (body weight, total length and body length), chemical composition, and fatty acids. The results showed that the body weight affected the chemical composition. Statistical analysis showed that the proximate analysis was significantly different among the treatments (p<0.05). The highest saturated fatty acid (SAFA) and polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) was palmitate (C6:0) dan linoleat (C18:2n6) respectively obtained at fish harvested in 14 days.

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) development of  the  types of superior commodity of marine and fisheries, (2) instrument in implementing economic development and the economic acceleration of coastal areas and  marine in Kolaka district. The sampling method used random sampling. The results of the analysis of fisheries of brackish water aquaculture, the types of superior commodity are vaname shrimp, windu shrimp and  milkfish. For fisheries of marine aquaculture, the kinds of superior commodity are seaweed, grouper and sea cucumbers. While for brackish water bargain, goldfish commodity becomes the superior followed by tilapia and catfish. Overview of the three commodity groups are based on several supporting aspects of a leading commodity: (1) Aspects of the availability of fish resources. (2) Aspects of productivity. (3) Aspects of market opportunities, three groups of fish resources, namely tuna and mackarel tuna, small pelagic and demersal/coral fish, the three groups can enter the market between regions. (4) Aspects of price, in terms of price per kilogram from the fishermen, demersal/coral fish especially reef fish, consumption which are marketed in the traders have greater sale value, followed by tuna and mackarel tuna, then small pelagic fish. (5). Aspect capital, fishing effort of a small pelagic fish and tuna more require huge capital. (6). Aspects of business systems, the marketing chain is not too long but it takes long time for transportation.Keywords : Coastal Areas, Superior Commodities, The Economy

Abstract

Seaweed is one source of foreign exchange and a source of income for coastal communities. In addition, it can be used as an ingredient of food, beverages and medicines, some of the processed seaweed such as agar-agar, alginate and carrageenan are a compound that  important in the industry and the amount of carbohydrate and crude fiber contained in seaweed has the potential processed to be bioethanol. This study aims to determine the potential of seaweed cultivation, the amount of seaweed production, the characteristics of the type of seaweed as a potential feedstock into bioethanol, postharvest handling and marketing of seaweed in Buton. Research using network design method APM (Academics, Government, Society). The results showed that for the raw material and the seaweed industry still facing obstacles, especially the quality still low because of the cultivation and post-harvest handling. Nevertheless, the seaweed has been able to contribute to the welfare of local people. Additionally, seaweed Eucheuma cottonii potentially be used as the raw material of bioethanol.Keywords: Bioethanol, Seaweed, Industry, Potential

Abstract

This research aimed to determine degradation and depreciation rates of scads fish resources in the waters of Muna Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. The research was conducted using a case study method. Sampling used was purposive sampling method. Data were analyzed using degradation and depreciation rates. Result showed that degradation and depreciation was yet to occur and still on tolerable limits with the averages of 0.19 and 0.17, respectively

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan usaha pengasapan ikan dari aspek finansial diantaranya biaya, penerimaan, keuntungan dan revenue cost rasio di Kelurahan Wasolangka Kabupaten Muna Sulawesi Tenggara.  Penelitian dilaksanakan selama ± 3 bulan.  bertempat di Kelurahan Wasolangka Kecamatan Parigi Kabupaten Muna. Pemilihan lokasi penelitian ditentukan secara sengaja (purposive), dengan pertimbangan bahwa lokasi ini merupakan salah satu lokasi usaha pengasapan ikan. Teknik penentuan sampel menggunakan sensus dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 13 orang pelaku usaha ikan asap. Analisis Data yang digunakan adalah  Analisis biaya terdiri dari biaya tetap (fixed cost), biaya tidak tetap (variable cost) dan total biaya (total cost), serta analisis penerimaan, keuntungan dan Revenue Cost Ratio (R/C). Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang diperoleh bahwa  R/C rasio bagi  pelaku usaha ikan asap yang berada di Kelurahan Wasolangka Kecamatan Parigi Kabupaten Muna memperoleh nilai 1,55 R/C rasio > 1, artinya usaha pengasapan ikan layak dan menguntungkan untuk dikembangkan. Kata Kunci : Analisis Kelayakan, Pengasapan  Ikan

Abstract

Penelitian ini di laksanakan di Desa Terapung Kecamatan Mawasangka Induk Kabupaten Buton Tengah terhadap nelayan penangkap ikan teri pada Bulan Februari 2021. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji pola saluran pemasaran ikan teri kering hasil tangkapan nelayan, jumlah margin, farmer share, dan efisiensi pemasaran. Data yang di kumpulkan berupa data primer dan data sekunder dengan metode wawancara dan dokumentasi selanjutnya di analisis dengan cara deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pola saluran pemasaran ikan teri kering di Desa Terapung ada 3, yaitu Pola saluran pemasaran I dari nelayan ke konsumen. Pola saluran II dari nelayan ke pengumpul kemudian ke konsumen.  Serta pola saluran pemasaran III dari nelayan ke pengumpul kemudian ke perusahaan. Saluran Pemasaran I Jumlah margin Rp. 0, Farmer share 100% dan keuntungan Rp.0. Pola pemasaran II Jumlah margin Rp.10.000, Farmer share 60% dan keuntungan Rp.9.880. Pola pemasaran III jumlah margin Rp.19.500, Farmer share 56 % dan keuntungan Rp.17.650 Pola Saluran I,II dan II tergolong efisien karena memiliki farmer share lebih dari 50% yaitu 100%, 60% dan 56%.   Kata Kunci : Pola pemasaran, farmer share dan efisiensi

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji besaran biaya dan penerimaan dan mengkaji  besaran keuntungan usaha bisnis para nelayan  setiap kali produksi. Penelitian ini di Laksanakan pada bulan Oktober sampai bulan November 2019. Penelitian ini di laksanakan pada bulan Oktober sampai bulan November 2019 di Desa Liya Togo Kecamatan Wangi-Wangi Selatan Kabupaten Wakatobi. Metode dalam penelitian ini mengunakan Meode kuantitatif dengan  menghitung mengunakan rumus TC = TVC + TVC dan menghitung keuntungan usaha nelayan budidaya Rumput Laut mengunakan rumus (π) =TR-TC. Analisis data yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis R/C rasio dan keuntungan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan rata-rata (TC) sebesar Rp 4.814.457.Rata-rata pendapatan (TR) sebesar Rp6.048.000. dan rata-rata Keuntungan (π) sebesar Rp1.233.543.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa usaha budidya rumput laut layak untuk di kembangkan di lihat dari aspek finansial. Kata kunci :Kelayakan finansial, Budidaya Rumput Laut

Abstract

The determinants of the income of crab fishermen are production results and prices. The purpose of this study was to examine how much the income changes of crab fishing fishermen in Lampopala Village, Rumbia District, Bombana Regency, Southeast Sulawesi during the Covid-19 pandemic which was carried out in January 2021. Respondents in this study were determined through themethod, cluster random sampling namely selecting fishermen who using traps and nets with a sample size of 10 trap fishermen and 10 net fishermen. Furthermore, themethod was census applied to all respondents by interview to obtain primary data on capture fishermen, namely name, age, education, business experience, amount of fuel, catch, fishing time, cost, and bait based on a structured questionnaire. The data obtained is then calculated using the formula for total costs, revenues, and revenues. The fishing process carried out by fishermen with traps and nets is the same, namely the preparation of fishing gear, including engines, boats, fuel, consumption, and bait as well as the selection oflocations fishing ground. The income of bubu fishermen is an average of Rp.4,030,449/month during Covid-19. Meanwhile, the average income of net fishermen is Rp. 3,183,813/month during Covid-19. The production of trap fishermen during Covid-19 remained at 180 kg/month but with increased profits to Rp. 5,429,652. On the other hand, the production of net fishermen has decreased to 120 kg/month with a profit of Rp. 3,204,766 during Covid-19. The thing that causes a decrease in the profits of fishermen catching nets is the reduced amount of production caused by constraints such as torn nets and restrictions on activities by the government. The crab fishermen have increased the selling price of the crab which was originally between Rp.30,000 before Covid-19 to Rp.35,000 during Covid-19. Most of the crabs are sold to companies/collectors so that they can increase the income of crab fishermen. Keywords: Traps, Nets, Income, Crabs, Covid-19

Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan di Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu Kelautan Universitas Halu Oleo pada Bulan Juni 2019 sampai Februari 2020. Siklus pertama terjadi pada Bulan Juli - Oktober 2019, siklus kedua terjadi pada Bulan November 2019-februari 2020. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui efisiensi biaya usaha budidaya Ikan Nila berbasis teknologi akuaponik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan jumlah responden 1 orang. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara menggunakan kuesioner, observasi, dokumentasi, dan studi literatur. Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi total biaya yang dikeluarkan, jumlah produksi dalam dua siklus, harga jual. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Analisis Biaya dihitung dengan rumus TC = (TFC+TVC), Analisis efisiensi dihitung dengan rumus (E) = TC/Q, Penerimaan dihitung dengan rumus TR = P.Q sedangkan Keuntungan dihitung dengan rumus π = TR – TC. Total biaya yang dikeluarkan pada siklus pertama pada usaha budidaya akuaponik adalah sebesar Rp25.342.789/siklus sedangkan total biaya pada siklus kedua adalah Rp23.107.789/siklus. Total penerimaan usaha budidaya akuaponik siklus pertama sebesar Rp39.590.000/siklus sedangkan pada siklus kedua sebesar Rp47.310.000/siklus. Keuntungan pembudidaya akuaponik pada siklus pertama sebesar Rp14.247.211/siklus, sedangkan keuntungan pada siklus kedua sebesar Rp24.202.211/siklus. Berdasarkan analisis efisiensi biaya pada siklus pertama diperoleh Rp24.943/Kg, sedangkan hasil analisis efisiensi pada siklus kedua sebesar Rp18.650/Kg, sehingga efisiensi biaya usaha budidaya ikan nila berbasis teknologi akuaponik di Kolam Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu Kelautan Universitas Halu Oleo Kendari terdapat pada siklus kedua yaitu sebesar Rp18.650/Kg.Kata Kunci: Efisiensi; Budidaya Akuaponik, Ikan Nila
