Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of Sharia compliance and Minangkabau custom in the halal tourism industry in West Sumatra, which is a leading province in Indonesia’s halal tourism sector. The research methodology used in this study is a qualitative descriptive, with in-depth interviews serving as the primary data collection instrument. The Indonesian Ulema Council, the Provincial Tourism Office and the halal tourism managers in the provinces of West Sumatra are the main sources of data for this study and purposive sampling strategies are used in this study to pick informants based on criteria. The findings of this study indicate that the halal tourism industry in West Sumatra substantially complied with the Sharia rules outlined in the fatwa of the Indonesian Ulema Council No. 108 of 2016 due to the implementation of Sharia compliance in halal tourism in this province through the Minangkabau custom adat basandi syarak, syarak basandi kitabullah by combining religious and cultural values that are deeply rooted in society, this saying is ingrained in the life of the Minang people. This is what distinguishes West Sumatra from other provinces in maintaining Sharia compliance within the halal tourism industry.

Abstract

Scheduling nurse duty is one of the problems in health organizations that is quite complicated to solve. Starting from the uncertain number of patients, serious patient illnesses, characteristics of organizational groups, requests for nurses to take time off, and the qualifications and specialization of the nurses themselves are why scheduling in the ER is difficult to optimize. The same thing is being experienced by one of the health institutions, RSUD Dr. Pirngadi. Preparing schedules or determining the number of nurses on duty is still done manually, resulting in a lack of optimization in scheduling and the number of nurses who must be on duty, especially in the emergency department. In solving this problem, an appropriate method is needed so that the process of scheduling and optimizing the number of nurses can be formed properly. This research applies the Genetic Algorithm in optimal emergency department (IGD) nurse duty scheduling. Genetic algorithms, also called search algorithms, are based on the mechanisms of natural selection and genetics. Genetic algorithms are one of the appropriate methods for solving complex optimization problems. This method is good enough to optimize shift scheduling for the Emergency Room Nursing Service in a Hospital. This Genetic Algorithm can be a solution to multi-criteria and multi-objective problems modeled using biological and evolutionary processes. So, the concept of this method can be applied in optimizing the Nursing Service schedule. The results of calculations using the Genetic Algorithm show quite significant comparisons, including several nurses losing their positions and being eliminated by mutation because they could not compete with several other strong individuals.

Abstract

This thesis aims to apply model-based clustering in grouping regencies/cities in North Sumatra based on Community Welfare Indicators to determine the number of groups (clusters) formed based on community welfare indicators in regencies/cities in North Sumatra and to understand the level of community welfare from this grouping in planning and managing community welfare in regencies/cities in North Sumatra, with the hope of achieving equal welfare in every region. The research method used is Model-Based Clustering, which uses 5 research data variables: HDI, Poor Population, Unemployment Rate, GDP, and Health. In this millennial era, the assessment of community welfare requires more attention. Rapid social, technological, and environmental changes have created new dynamics that can affect community welfare. The evaluation of community welfare is not only limited to economic parameters but also considers health, unemployment, and other factors. By using Model-Based Clustering, it is possible to determine the optimal number of groups (clusters) from various and possibly correlated variables, and the results are easier to understand, making the analysis and understanding of the results easier. Readers can learn about the level of community welfare, and the community and government can evaluate their welfare for future improvements. The research results show that among the groups of regencies/cities formed, five cities consistently show lower Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP) and Human Development Index (HDI) than other cities. Therefore, a sustainable approach is needed to improve these cities' economic conditions and social welfare.

Abstract

Gold is an investment with the smallest risk because it can be sold anytime and anywhere. In Indonesia, gold bullion as an investment product is known for its purity level of 99.99%, namely gold bullion produced by PT. Aneka Tambang (Antam) through its Precious Metals business unit. Apart from its pure production, Antam gold bullion is easier to resell anytime and anywhere because it has an official certificate from the international gold standardisation institution, namely LBMA (London Bullion Market Association), to more easily estimate the value of gold bullion when sold. To overcome this, predictions of future gold prices are needed. In this research, one of the prediction methods is Support Vector Regression with the Grid Search Algorithm. In this method this method will be used to predict the price of gold, which aims to predict and find out the price of gold one year in the future to produce a level accuracy (MAPE) of 5.43% and the prediction of gold prices increasing from 2023-June-01 to 2024-March-23 while experiencing a decline starting in 2024-March-24. Research by examining the relationship between variables, which emphasises data consisting of numbers so that it is analysed based on statistical procedures using the Support Vector Regression method with data sourced from the daily price of gold bullion through PT. Gallery 24 Pawnshops, North Sumatra. Where this method is very well used in predicting by choosing the best kernel used is the linear kernel because, from these three kernels, the best hyperparameters were obtained for predicting gold price movements using a linear kernel with a division for training and testing data of 60: 40. The MAPE value obtained was 5.43.

Abstract

Rapid advances in communication and information technology due to globalization have had a significant impact on a number of industries, including the industrial sector. The industry is taking great advantage of the capabilities of this technology to search, store, distribute and present information. The ceramic sector in Indonesia looks increasingly promising every year. One type of building material that functions to cover the floor and beautify its appearance is ceramic. When choosing ceramics, consumers become confused because of the availability of various brands (vendors) with different themes and quality. When deciding on product quality, a decision support system can be implemented to offer a structured evaluation that assists stakeholders in the business and consumers in assessing high-quality ceramic options. DSS The complex proportional assessment method, or COPRAS, is used in system design. In improving the accuracy and efficiency of decision making, the COPRAS approach can evaluate several options and estimate them based on their utility level when attribute values ??are expressed in intervals. Based on the findings of this research, the application of the COPRAS method in the decision-making process to determine the best household ceramics can be used in selecting the best household ceramics by collecting data on ceramic criteria and the alternative used is the type of ceramic. The weights obtained for each criterion are then normalized which are then used to determine the Ui for each alternative, so that based on the results of this research the best household ceramics are obtained, namely Redhorse type ceramics with a Ui value of 100%, Fortuna type with a Ui value of 99.27%. , Prato type with a Ui value of 98.82%, Crystal type with a Ui value of 98.71%, Mulia type with a Ui value of 88.50%, Vancouver type with a Ui value of 88.24%, Murano type with a Ui value of 84.97% and the Virginia type with a Ui value of 79.77%.

Abstract

In running its business, the success of a company is largely determined by the quality of its employees. To obtain quality employees who meet the required qualifications, companies must carry out a selection process in recruiting qualified new employee candidates. PT. Delta Sukses Sejahtera is a private company that operates in the field of recruitment services. This recruitment service serves companies by taking over the job of recruiting candidates. Each assessment is taken into account and considered according to the company's needs. So far, the selection process for prospective employees has experienced difficulties because they are still comparing the test results of prospective employees one by one to determine potential new employees. This process takes a long time. Apart from that, the old employee selection system created an element of subjective assessment. So it is necessary to build a decision support system using the Weighted Product (WP) method as an alternative solution, so that it runs effectively and reduces the occurrence of subjective assessments. Weighted Product (WP) is a method in a decision making system that connects attribute ratings using a multiplication technique, where the rating for each attribute needs to be raised to the power of the relevant attribute weight before calculation, this process is similar to the normalization stage. Based on the results of this research, it shows that from the five orders of candidates for recruiting new employees, it can be seen that the scores obtained by each prospective new employee are not too far apart from first to fifth. In the first and fifth places, they have similarities in the final psychological and educational criteria. Where the first and fifth psychological test criteria have almost perfect scores.
