Abstract

One crucial activity for a company’s long-term sustainability is establishing an effective production planning policy. Currently, CV Lembah Melintang relies on consumer demand to determine its production process, which often leads to suboptimal resource utilization. This research aims to develop an optimal production plan using a Multi-Goal Programming (MGP) model to maximize resource use and increase company income. The MGP model, an extension of the goal programming method, allows for multiple objectives by incorporating deviation variables to handle conflicts between goals. In this study, the objectives are: maximizing total production, minimizing production costs, and maximizing profit, subject to relevant resource constraints. Data analysis and computation were carried out using POM-QM v5 software. The results indicate that the production plan successfully met the company’s targets: sales volume was achieved, production costs remained below the target limit of IDR 922,105,662.4, and profit reached the target of IDR 564,080,764 for the 2023 period. The study concludes that the MGP model is an effective decision-support tool for improving production planning policies and aligning multiple strategic goals in manufacturing environments.

Abstract

Currently the crime rate is very alarming and reported in various mass and electronic media. The high crime rate in the Province of Nort Sumatra is very unsettling for the community. The purpose of this research is to get the result of forecasting the crime ratel in the 2021 - 2024 using Automatic Clustering And Fuzzy Logic Relationship (ACFLR) method. The advantage of this method is that the method has a high level of accuracy because the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) value is relative small and the results of forecasting analysis obtained in 2021 there are 31522 cases, in 2022 are 31533 cases, in 2023 are 31574 cases and the last one in 2024 was 31602 cases. In addition, the prediction error rate MAPE obtained is 0,35 % Keywords: Crime rate, Automatic Clustering And Fuzzy Logic Relationship.

Abstract

In the current era of modernization, the development of the need for medical devices is increasing,g so that the companies need goods distribution system with criteria that have speed, safety, and convenience to distribute various kinds of products according to optimal distribution routes. The aim of this study is to overcome the problem of the distribution route for medical devices from PT Alkes Medan because the number of demand for goods varies for each consumers, vehicle capacites, delivery time limits, average speed that can be reached on certain routes and times and the existence of the different conditions of multiple trips at the customer's location. A heuristic algorithm named Clarke-Wright Algorithm is applied in this problem. This algorithm will be later provide an optimal solution to route problem in the distribution of medical devices and provide effectiveness in finding the shortest optimal route of medical device goods distributed to consumers. The optimal route will be described in the results section of this study

Abstract

The goal achieved in the preparation of production planning is more than one. UD Rezeki Berkah is a small business medium-sized enterprise engaged in the production of building materials. UD Rezeki Berkah aims to meet market demand and must consider the costs used during production to maximize profit. Because of these problems, it will be solved with a goal programming model where this method can solve more than one goal to get a model with optimal goal priority. This research provides an optimal solution, namely achieving the target sales volume and production costs within the Rp limit target. 929,128,971, and profit targets reached Rp. 562,751,890 for a period of one year.

Abstract

Abstract:  The female labor force participation rate (LFPR) describes the percentage of the female population of working age who are engaged in economic activities. In this condition, the problem that often arises is that the LFPR of women is still lower than the LFPR of men, and the gap between the two is quite far. The purpose of this study is to find out what factors affect the LFPR of women in North Sumatra Province. The method used is binary probit regression method. The data revealed that 45.5% of districts/cities in North Sumatra Province were classified as low LFPR category. The results showed that the level of education (X1) and the informal sector (X5) had a significant effect on female TPAK with a classification accuracy value of 93.9%, indicating that the binary probit regression model used was able to classify the data correctly with a high level of accuracy.Abstrak: Tingkat partisipasi angkatan kerja (TPAK) wanita menggambarkan persentase populasi wanita pada usia kerja yang terlibat dalam kegiatan ekonomi. Dalam kondisi ini, masalah yang sering muncul adalah TPAK wanita masih lebih rendah dari TPAK laki-laki, dan kesenjangan antara keduanya cukup jauh. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu  untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang berpengaruh terhadap TPAK wanita di Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode regresi probit biner. Data mengungkapkan bahwa 45,5% kabupaten/kota di Provinsi Sumatera Utara tergolong dalam kategori TPAK rendah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat pendidikan (X1) dan sektor informal (X5) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap TPAK wanita dengan nilai ketepatan klasifikasi sebesar 93,9% menandakan model regresi probit biner yang digunakan mampu mengklasifikasikan data dengan tepat memiliki tingkat akurasi yang tinggi.

Abstract

Accurate rainfall classification remains a persistent challenge because precipitation is governed by highly nonlinear atmospheric processes, while routine meteorological observations are often limited, particularly in humid tropical environments. Although recent advances in machine learning have substantially improved rainfall prediction, relatively few studies have examined the capability of interpretable models using compact monthly meteorological datasets. This study developed and evaluated a linear Support Vector Machine (SVM) for classifying monthly rainfall in Medan City using air temperature, relative humidity, sunshine duration, and wind speed as predictor variables. The analysis was conducted using 23 monthly observations collected by BBMKG Region I Medan from July 2024 to May 2026. Rainfall was categorized using the sample mean threshold of 274.7 mm, producing seven higher-rainfall and sixteen lower-rainfall observations. Predictor variables were normalized using the Min–Max method, and the linear SVM parameters were estimated through Sequential Minimal Optimization. The resulting model produced an accuracy of 70%, precision of 50%, recall of 43%, and an F1-score of 46%, with optimization identifying two support vectors and a decision boundary characterized by positive coefficients for relative humidity and wind speed and negative coefficients for air temperature and sunshine duration. These findings indicate that the proposed model successfully identified meaningful rainfall-classification patterns while exhibiting greater capability in recognizing lower-rainfall than higher-rainfall conditions. The study contributes an interpretable machine-learning framework for rainfall classification under limited observational conditions and demonstrates the importance of balancing predictive performance with model transparency in tropical hydrometeorological applications.

Abstract

PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV (PTPN IV) Unit Bah Butong merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang agroindustri perkebunan yang mengembangkan penanaman pohon teh, salah satunya adalah teh hitam. Sebagai perusahaan produksi teh selalu berkomitmen untuk menghasilkan teh dengan kualitas terbaik untuk diekspor. Dalam pemilihan kualitas teh yang diproduksi masih menggunakan sistem pengayakan dan penyaringan belum ada metode lain yang dikembangkan. Pengambilan keputusan merupakan salah satu cara yang bisa digunakan dalam proses prioritas pemilihan teh. Dalam penelitian ini, Metode Promethee II digunakan untuk mencari nilai bobot dari kriteria untuk mencari nilai akhir dan nilai perangkingan Prioritas teh terbaik. Dengan metode Promethee II diharapkan agar dapat membantu pihak PTPN dalam penentuan kualitas teh terbaik dengan hasil yang tepat dan akurat. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan metode Promethee II, diperoleh hasil perangkingan pada Alternatif produk teh terbaik yang merupakan kategori grade I sesuai dengan ketetapan PTPN dalam pemilihan kualitas teh, yaitu jenis teh DUST dengan total hasil nilai sebesar 0,339. Yang menjadi hasil rangking peringkat pertama dalam penentuan teh terbaik untuk di ekspor.

Abstract

Abstract: Unemployment is still a problem that often occurs in every region, including in every area in North Sumatra. Unemployment rates can inevitably lead to an increase in poverty. And this can continuously trigger other losses such as rampant robbery, theft, fraud and even crimes that will harm the general public. The purpose of this study, among others, is to predict the number of unemployed in each district/city of North Sumatra from 2021 to 2025 using the Monte Carlo method and find out whether this method can be used to predict population such as unemployment. The advantage of this method lies in strong numerical calculations in simulating data by producing accurate values and the results of predicting the number of unemployed in 2021, 2023 and 2024 have decreased with the number of unemployed each year ranging from 426383, 426383 and 399403 people. Meanwhile, for 2022 and 2025 it will be an increase of 43260 and 41605 people. Keyword: Predicting, Number of Unemployed, Monte Carlo Abstrak: Pengangguran masih menjadi permasalahan yang kerap terjadi di setiap daerah termasuk di setiap daerah yang ada di Sumatera Utara. Tingkat pengangguran yang tidak terelakan dapat memicu terjadinya peningkatan kemiskinan, kriminalitas. seperti maraknya perampokan, pencurian, penipuan bahkan kejahatan yang akan merugikan khalayak ramai maupun kesenjangan sosial dan dampak negatif lainnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini antara lain untuk memprediksi jumlah pengangguran di setiap daerah Sumatera Utara perkabupaten/ kota tahun 2021 sampai dengan 2025 dengan menggunakan metode Monte Carlo serta mengetahui apakah metode tersebut dapat digunakan dalam memprediksi kependudukan seperti pengangguran. Keunggulan metode ini terletak pada perhitungan numerik yang kuat dalam mensimulasikan data dengan menghasilkan nilai yang akurat dan hasil dari memprediksi jumlah pengangguran di tahun 2021, 2023 dan 2024 mengalami penurunan dengan jumlah pengangguran disetiap tahunnya berkisar 426383, 426383 dan 399403 jiwa. Sedangkan untuk tahun 2022 dan 2025 mengalami kenaikan sebesar 43260 dan 41605 jiwa. Kata kunci: Prediksi, Jumlah Pengangguran, Monte Carlo
