Abstract

Living in an orphanage is often perceived as a limitation for adolescents in achieving psychological well-being. However, this study aims to uncover how adolescents living in an orphanage are still able to experience happiness, gratitude, and self-acceptance. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation of several adolescents living in the orphanage. Data analysis was conducted using an interactive model that included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that adolescents living in an orphanage were able to build subjective well-being through gratitude for their circumstances. They viewed being in an orphanage as not an obstacle to happiness, but rather an opportunity to strengthen themselves. This gratitude was evident in their ability to accept themselves, interpret life experiences positively, and appreciate personal achievements, both small and large. Furthermore, social interactions in the orphanage enriched their experience in understanding the dynamic way life works. In conclusion, despite the limitations of living in an orphanage, adolescents were able to cultivate well-being through self-acceptance, gratitude, and adaptive coping strategies. This shows the importance of providing a conducive environment so that adolescents in orphanages can continue to develop their potential and achieve a prosperous life.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to analyze the effectiveness of modified andragogic models in fostering Islamic character that is integrated with local wisdom values. The method used was a quasi-experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design, involving 60 students from two Islamic boarding schools as a sample. Data were collected through participatory observation, standardized character scales, and curriculum document analysis. The results showed a significant increase in the aspects of responsibility (p=0.003) and cooperation (p=0.012) compared to the control group, with the greatest effect seen in the internalization of the value of "tepa slira" (tolerance) as a key mediator. The unique findings reveal that the adaptation of the principles of self-directed learning in andragogics can be effective in children when combined with a narrative approach based on folklore. This study not only extends the application of andragogic theory to primary education, but also offers a new conceptual framework, "Andragogy for Children Islamic Character (ACIC)" that is relevant to the context of Islamic education in Indonesia. The practical implications include recommendations for character learning modules based on local wisdom.

Abstract

In recent years, the increasing cases of mental health disorders among adolescents, especially high school students, have become an increasingly emerging issue. Given that adolescence is a crucial stage of development that is very vulnerable to psychological problems, intervention through psychoeducation is important. Psychoeducation aims not only to provide an understanding of mental health, but also to encourage students to care more about their own and others' psychological conditions. This study is important to determine the extent to which psychoeducation is effective in increasing students' collective awareness to maintain each other's mental health, especially in the school environment. Psychoeducational activities were carried out in the form of a survey filling out a google form about how important mental health is for students and delivering material entitled "Mental Health: It's Okay To Not Be Okay" to students in grades X.13, X.1 and X.10 at SMA Batik 1 Surakarta. The results of this activity showed a transformation in participants' attitudes, which was marked by students validating their mental condition from the material presented, there were also students who cried and the willingness of students to maintain each other's mental health together.

Abstract

Menjadi ibu rumah tangga yang juga bekerja di luar rumah tentu menjadi hal yang sudah biasa di zaman sekarang. Tentu saja wanita yang memiliki peran ganda seperti itu harus memiliki jiwa dan raga yang kuat, karena akan semakin banyak tuntutan-tuntutan pekerjaan yang harus diselesaikan. Maka dari itu, seorang ibu rumah tangga yang juga bekerja seharusnya memiliki kualitas coping stress yang baik. Strategi coping stress adalah cara individu untuk mengelola stres karena permasalahan yang dihadapi. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui gambaran strategi coping stress pada ibu rumah tangga yang bekerja. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah ibu rumah tangga yang bekerja. Sampel penelitian ini ada tujuh orang ibu rumah tangga yang memiliki pekerjaan yang berbeda. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah ketujuh informan memiliki strategi coping stress yang cukup baik, baik dilihat dari cara mereka dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan maupun dari cara mereka dalam mengelola emosinya ketika dihadapkan dengan permasalahan. Mereka mampu memanajemen waktu dengan baik dan selalu optimis dalam menghadapi permasalahan yang ada.Kata kunci: coping stress, ibu rumah tangga

Abstract

Kondisi psychological well-being (PWB) yang tidak diperhatikan pada remaja memiliki kemungkinan besar terhadap kenakalan remaja. Berdasarkan data dari Badan Pusat Statistika Indonesia, angka kenakalan remaja terus meningkat setiap tahun. Menurut ahli dan penelitian lain menjelaskan salah satu faktor dari PWB adalah religiusitas. Oleh karena itu penting untuk mengetahui tingkat religiusitas serta PWB terlebih pada siswa kelas XII yang lebih rawan terkena stress. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menguji hubungan antara religiusitas dengan PWB pada siswa kelas XII SMKN 1 Sragen. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jumlah responden 51 siswa kelas XII. Teknik pengambilan data dengan teknik purposive sampling, dengan analisis data menggunakan regresi sederhana. Berdasarkan dari hasil analisis regresi linier sederhana diperoleh nilai (R) = 0,004 atau kurang dari 0,05 (p<0,05) maka data dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan antara religiusitas dengan PWB pada siswa kelas XII SMK N 1 Sragen yang artinya semakin tinggi religiusitas siswa kelas XII maka akan semakin tinggi juga PWB yang dimiliki oleh siswa tersebut. Abstract

This study aimed to examine the construct validity and reliability of the Self-Compassion Scale among adolescents from broken home families. Using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), the measurement model revealed two major factors that represent self-kindness versus self-judgment and mindfulness versus over-identification. The results indicated that all items showed significant and strong factor loadings (p < .001), demonstrating high internal consistency across subscales (Cronbach’s α ranging from .914 to .917). The goodness-of-fit indices also supported the adequacy of the model (CFI = .969, RMSEA = .048, GFI = .979). These findings suggest that the scale has strong psychometric properties and can be effectively used to assess self-compassion in adolescents experiencing family disruption. The study further revealed that self-compassion plays a vital role in enhancing emotional resilience and reducing self-critical tendencies among broken home adolescents. The implications of this research emphasize the importance of developing intervention programs that foster mindfulness, self-kindness, and acceptance as protective factors against psychological distress.

Abstract

Everyone will face problems in his life. Problems that are less able to be overcome properly often cause of stress. Stress is the body's response that is not specific to any demands or burdens on it so that not a few individuals who take the path are not good to overcome them. Conversely, not everyone who is experiencing stress overcomes it in a way that is not good. someone who is healthy in his faith and soul, physically and spiritually they are always excellent and healthy. Their closeness and submission to God makes them able to control stress well. One of the positive media that can be taken by a person in dealing with stress is the midnight prayer (Tahajjud Prayer). Tahajjud prayer provides many benefits, one of which can relieve stress for someone who is experiencing it. This study aim is to provide an overview of the Tahajjud prayer as stress management. Data collection methods in this study use interviews and observations. The informants in this study were two executive employees of the Prayers at the Sahid University of Surakarta. The results of the study show that the tahajjud prayers done by the informants are able to provide happiness in their lives. The sources of happiness are in the form of soul, peace of mind, comfort in life. So that the stress they experience can be overcome properly.

Abstract

This qualitative study investigates how the work environment influences employee stress levels and performance at a PVC ceiling distribution company in Gemolong. A comfortable and supportive workplace is considered essential in fostering employee productivity, while unmanaged stress can hinder work outcomes. The research adopts a case study approach, gathering data through in-depth interviews with five current employees, complemented by direct observation and document analysis. Results indicate that both the physical layout and social dynamics of the workplace significantly shape employees’ perceptions and behaviors. Positive environmental conditions—such as cleanliness, mutual support, and safety—help reduce stress and enhance work quality. In contrast, unclear roles, workplace noise, and poor communication were commonly associated with increased stress and decreased performance. The study recommends that the company pay attention to improving both tangible and intangible elements of the work environment to support employee well-being and maintain performance standards.

Abstract

Adolescence is a transition period from childhood to adulthood marked by rapid physical, psychological, and social changes. One important aspect in adolescent development is mental health, which plays a role in forming healthy, resilient, and productive individuals. However, awareness of mental health among adolescents is still relatively low, as found in observations at MAN 2 Surakarta. Increasing awareness of mental health problems and support from family, friends, and the wider community is needed to create a healthy and productive young generation. From the author's observations at MAN 2 Surakarta, it was found that some students were not yet familiar with the concept of mental health, so this community service activity was carried out. Therefore, this community service activity was carried out to increase student awareness of the importance of mental health, provide education, and develop stress management skills. This activity involves delivering materials, discussions, and practicing relaxation techniques such as the butterfly hug. The purpose of this activity is to increase awareness of the importance of mental health, provide education about mental health, and also develop stress management skills. So that students are expected to be able to live a healthier and stronger life both mentally and emotionally. It is also hoped that students can become mentally strong individuals who also have positive behavior for themselves and their surroundings. The results of the activity showed an increase in students' understanding of mental health, with positive and enthusiastic responses from participants.

Abstract

Adolescence is a crucial stage in individual development, where high school students often face emotional challenges that arise due to physical, psychological and social changes. Unfortunately, many teenagers do not have adequate emotional regulation skills, so they are vulnerable to experiencing difficulties in managing stress, resolving conflicts, or making wise decisions. This limited understanding of emotional regulation can have an impact on mental well-being, triggering impulsive behavior, low motivation to learn, and disruption in interpersonal relationships. Through outreach educational programs, high school students can be given practical knowledge and skills to strengthen emotional regulation abilities. This program is designed to help students recognize their emotions, develop more adaptive management strategies, and improve their ability to deal with everyday stress. With an interactive approach and in line with students' needs, this program is expected to be able to improve emotional well-being while helping students manage their emotions effectively.
