Abstract

ASI merupakan sumber gizi yang terbaik bagi bayi dibawah usia tiga tahun. Cakupan pemberian ASI di Sulawesi Utara tahun 2019 sebanyak 50,9% dan masih jauh dari target Indonesia yaitu sebanyak 80%. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui bagaimana hubungan dukungan atasan dan stress kerja dengan pemberian ASI oleh ibu pekerja di Kecamatan Malalayang. Dalam penelitian mamakai penelitian survey analitik  dengan memakai desain penelitian cross sectional study. Populasi ialah ibu pekerja yang memiliki bayi. Sampel yang diambil berjumlah 100 ibu pekerja yang memberikan ASI. Analisis data menggunakan uji chi square (p = 0,05). Hasil penelitian menunjukan ada hubungan dukungan atasan dengan pemberian ASI  ibu pekerja di Kecamatan Malalayang (ρ = 0,032), ada hubungan stres kerja dan pemberian ASI di Kecamatan Malalayang (p = 0,024). Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini ialah adanya hubungan antara dukunga atasan terhadap pemberian ASI oleh ibu pekerja dan tidak adanya hubungan antara stress kerja terhadap pemberian ASI oleh ibu pekerja. Kata Kunci: Dukungan Atasan, Stres Kerja, Pemberian ASI ABSTRACTBreast milk is the best source of nutrition for infants under the age of three. Coverage of milk gained in north Sulawesi  in 2019  by 50,9% and still far from Indonesia's target of 80%. The purpose of this study is to find out how the relationship of superior support and work stress with breastfeeding to working mothers in Malalayang Subdistrict. In this study, I used analytical survey research using cross sectional study design. The population is working mothers who have babies. The samples taken amounted to 100 working mothers who gave breast milk. Analyze the data using the chi square test (p = 0.05). The results showed there is a relationship of superior support with the breastfeeding of working mothers in Malalayang Subdistrict (ρ = 0.032), there is a relationship of work stress and breastfeeding in Malalayang Subdistrict (p = 0.024). The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between the support of superiors towards breastfeeding by working mothers and the absence of a relationship between work stress to breastfeeding by working mothers. Abstract

Abstract: Advances in technological development have led to increased use of smartphones. To date, the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorder (MSD) of the upper extremities is increasing and according to previous studies one of the MSD causes is the continued use of smart phones by high school students. This study was aimed to determine the prevalence of MSD of the upper extremities experienced in the last 7 days and to evaluate the relationship between MSD complaints and smartphone usage among adolescent high school students. This was an analytical study with a cross-sectional design. The instruments in this study were demographic questionnaire, smartphone usage, and modified Nordic Body Map Questionaire. Data were analyzed by using the Spearman Rho correlation test. There were 170 respondents (N = 170) involved in this study. Most of the MSD complaints were in the neck (n = 73; 42.9%), followed by in the shoulder (n = 61; 35.9%), and finger (n = 49; 28.8%). Most of the pain was categorized as mild pain. The Spearman Rho test showed significant correlations, as follows: between MSD in the neck and gaming as well as chat frequency (p=0.040); between MSD in the upper arm and one sesion gaming duration (p=0.005); and between MSD in the fingers and gaming duration in one sesion (p=0.007) and in a day (p=0.042). In conclusion, among adolescent high school students, frequency as well as duration of smartphone usage could influence the occurrence of MSD in the upper extremities.Keywords: musculoskeletal disorder, smartphone, duration of usage, frequency of usage, gaming Asbtrak: Kemajuan perkembangan teknologi menyebabkan peningkatan penggunaan telepon cerdas. Prevalensi musculoskeletal disorder (MSD) dari ekstremitas atas meningkat dan menurut penelitian salah satu penyebabnya ialah akibat penggunaan berkelanjutan dari telepon cerdas oleh remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prevalensi MSD pada ekstremitas atas yang dialami dalam 7 hari terakhir dan mengevaluasi hubungan antara keluhan MSD dengan penggunaan smartphone pada remaja pelajar SMA. Jenis penelitian ialah analitik dengan desain potong lintang. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner demografi, smartphone, dan modifikasi dari Nordic Body Map Questionnaire. Analisis statistik menggunakan tes korelasi Spearman Rho. Hasil penelitian mendapatkan 170 responden (N=170). Keluhan MSD paling sering dirasakan pada leher (n=73; 42,9%), bahu (n=61; 35,9%), dan jari tangan (n=49; 28,8%). Karakteristik keparahan nyeri yang dirasakan sebagian besar merupakan nyeri ringan. Uji korelasi Spearman Rho mendapatkan korelasi bermakna antara: keluhan MSD pada leher yang dialami dalam 7 hari terakhir dengan frekuensi gaming dan frekuensi chatting (p=0,040); keluhan MSD pada lengan atas dengan durasi gaming satu sesi (p=0,005); dan keluhan MSD pada jari tangan dengan durasi gaming dalam satu sesi (p=0,007) dan dalam sehari (p=0,042). Simpulan penelitian ini ialah frekuensi dan durasi penggunaan telepon cerdas berpengaruh terhadap timbulnya keluhan MSD ekstremitas atas pada remaja pelajar SMA.Kata kunci: musculoskeletal disorder, telepon cerdas, durasi, frekuensi, gaming

Abstract

Abstract: The Covid-19 pandemic constitutes a major impact not only on health but also onithe economy include those in Indonesia. Currently, the prevention of COVID-19 in the workplace needs attention, since worker's safety and health may influence companies' productivity. Information and infrastructure as a preventive measure of Covid-19 must be provided by the company so that employees could apply health protocols. This study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the relationship between knowledge and attitudes as well as preventive measures for the spread of COVID-19 among employees at a Bottled Drinking Water Producer Company. This research is a cross-sectional study design. Sixty-one employees were recruited randomly at the Packaged Drinking Water Industry in Airmadidi, North Sulawesi. Chi-square test was used to test the data. The results showed that 78.7% of employees had good knowledge, 65.6% of employees are in the category of good attitude,iand 88.5% of employees are in the category of good actions. The bivariate result showed that there was no significant relationship between knowledge with the practice of Covid-19 prevention measures (ρ i= i0.624). However, it revealed a significant relationship between attitudes (ρ= 0.002) and Covid-19 prevention measures (ρ= 0.002). In conclusion, the good attitudes toward the prevention of Covid-19 were important to the practice of preventive actions taken by employees at Packaged Drinking Water Industry in Airmadidi North Sulawesi.Keywords: knowledge, iattitude, iprevention imeasures, iCovid-19  Abstrak: Pandemi Covid-19 berdampak besar tidak hanyaibagiisektor ikesehatan tetapi juga terhadap perekonomian termasuk di Indonesia. Saat ini pencegahan COVID-19 di tempat kerja perlu mendapat perhatian, karena keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja dapat mempengaruhi produktivitas perusahaan. Informasi dan infrastruktur sebagai langkah pencegahan Covid-19 harus disediakan perusahaan agar karyawan dapat menerapkan protokol kesehatan. Penelitianiini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara pengetahuan dan sikap serta tindakan pencegahan penyebaran COVID-19 pada karyawan di Perusahaan Produsen Air Minum Dalam Kemasan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain studi potong lintang. Sebanyak 61 karyawan diambil secara acak di Industri Air Minum Dalam Kemasan di Airmadidi, Sulawesi Utara. Uji Chi-square digunakan untuk menguji data tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 78,7% karyawan memiliki pengetahuan baik, 65,6% karyawan dalam kategori sikap baik, i88,5% karyawan dalam kategori tindakan baik. Hasil uji dua variabel menunjukkan tidak ada hubungan yang berarti antara pengetahuan dengan tindakan pencegahan Covid-19 (ρ= 0,624). Namun, terungkap adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara sikap (ρ=i0,002) dan tindakan pencegahan Covid-19 (ρ=i0,002). Sebagai simpulan, sikap yang baik terhadap pencegahan Covid-19 penting untuk praktik tindakan preventif yang dilakukan oleh karyawan di Industri Air Minum Dalam Kemasan Airmadidi Sulawesi Utara.Kata kunci: pengetahuan, sikap, tindakan, Covid-19

Abstract

Abstract: Sleep disorder is daily event caused by various environmental factors, developmental stages and psychosocial stressors, work schedules, schools, and travel, drug use or substance abuse, and physical and mental health. Sleep disorders in nurses can be caused by internal and external factors such as worker factors, physical and psychological workload, length of work, work shifts, and work environment. The purpose of this research is analyzed the relationship between work load, work period and work shift with sleep pattern disorder in the inpatient ward of Pancaran Kasih General Hospital of GMIM Manado. The Result of this Study : Bivariate analysis revealed that there was a significant correlation between work load and Nursing sleep pattern disorder, because p value = 0,011, there was a significant correlation between work shift with nuisance sleep pattern disorder, because p value = 0,012, there was significant relation between work period and Nursing sleep disorder nurse, because the value of p = 0.108. Conclusion : Furthermore, based on the results of multivariate analysis showed that the most dominant factor associated with sleep disorder that is the night shift work with the value of OR 9,27.Keywords : Work load, Work period, Work shift, Sleep disorder Abstrak : Gangguan tidur merupakan pengalaman sehari-hari yang disebabkan oleh berbagai faktor lingkungan, tahap perkembangan dan stresor psikososial, jadwal kerja, sekolah, dan perjalanan, penggunaan obat atau penyalahgunaan zat, dan kesehatan fisik serta mental. Gangguan tidur perawat dapat disebabkan dari faktor internal maupun eksternal seperti faktor pekerja, beban kerja fisik dan mental, lamanya kerja, shift kerja, dan  lingkungan kerja. Tujuan penelitian : Teranalisis hubungan antara beban, masa kerja dan shift kerja dengan gangguan pola tidur perawat di ruang rawat inap RSU Pancaran kasih GMIM Manado. Desain Penelitian : Jenis penelitian ini ialah observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu total sampling dengan jumlah sampel 90 responden. Hasil Penelitian : Analisis bivariat menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara beban kerja dengan gangguan pola tidur Perawat dengan nilai p=0,011, terdapat hubungan antara shift kerja dengan gangguan pola tidur Perawat, dengan nilai p=0,012, tidak terdapat hubungan antara masa kerja dengan gangguan pola tidur Perawat, dengan nilai p=0,108. Simpulan : Hasil analisis multivariat menunjukan bahwa faktor yang paling dominan yang berhubungan dengan gangguan pola tidur yaitu shift kerja malam dengan nilai OR 9,27.Kata Kunci : Beban Kerja, Masa Kerja, Shift Kerja, Gangguan pola tidur perawat

Abstract

Abstract : Workload appears when there is an interaction between task demands, work environment, competency, behaviour, and perceptions of the worker. It can be defined as well as professionalism in many factors, for example the tasks that they must fulfill. The aim of this research is to know the relation between workload and preventing needle-stick injuries at GMIM Bethesda Public Hospital Tomohon. Research method: this research uses a quantitative method with cross-sectional correlational approach by using chi square test with 64 people as the population. Total sampling method is used. Conclusion: According to the result using chi square statistic test, it shows that there is a relation between workload and needle-stick injuries at GMIM Bethesda Public Hospital Tomohon with significant values = 0.000 < a 0.05.Keywords: Workloads, Preventing Needle-stick Injury.Abstrak : Beban kerja merupakan sesuatu yang muncul dari interaksi antara tuntutan tugastugas, lingkungan kerja dimana digunakan sebagai tempat kerja, keterampilan, perilaku dan persepsi dari pekerja. Beban kerja juga dapat didefinisikan secara profesional pada berbagai faktor seperti tuntutan tugas atau upaya-upaya yang dilakukan untuk melakukan pekerjaan. Tujuan Penelitian : untuk mengetahui hubungan antara beban kerja dengan tindakan pencegahan cedera tertusuk jarum suntik Di RSU Bethesda GMIM Tomohon. Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode Cross Sectional korelasional,dengan menggunakan uji chi-square jumlah populasi yang di ambil sebanyak 64 orang dengan. Sampel yang digunakan dengan metode total sampling. Kesimpulan berdasarka hasil analisis dengan menggunakan uji statistik Chi-Square menunjukan terdapat hubungan antara beban kerja dengan tindakan pencegahan cedera tertusuk jarum suntik Di RSU Bethesda GMIM Tomohon. dengan nilai signifikan = 0.000 atau kurang dari α 0.05.Kata Kunci : Beban Kerja, Pencegahan Cedera Tertusuk Jarum

Abstract

Abstract: Exclusive breastfeeding is giving ASI as early as possible after birth until the baby is 6 months old  however, there were still mothers who did not exclusively breastfeed and each of them had a job. one of these studies showed that babies who were not breastfed would have a 6-10 times higher risk of dying in the first few months.This research method uses a cross sectional study design with a population of mothers who have babies aged 6-12 months. Sampling was done by non-probability sampling with pruposive sampling technique. The number of samples were 52 respondents. Data is presented in the form of Frequency Tables. Data analysis used is univariate and bivariate analysis using the chi-square analysis method. Results of research Respondents on average have a high school education. With normal nutritional status, the average mother has a age of 17-25 years, the average mother works as a private / entrepreneur. From the chi-square test results obtained p value for nutritional status ρ = 0.02 smaller than α = 0.05, p value for age ρ = 0.03, smaller than α = 0.05, and p value for work ρ = 0.03, smaller than α = 0.05. In conclusion, the results of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between nutritional status, age, occupation and exclusive breastfeeding in infants aged 6-12 months when mothers return to work at Wilaya Work Center at Werdhi Agung Public Health Center, Dumoga Tengah District.Keywords: Nutrition Status, Age, Employment, and Exclusive Breastfeeding Abstrak: ASI Ekslusif adalah pemberian ASI sedini mungkin setelah lahir sampai bayi berumur 6 bulan namun masih didapatkan ibu yang tidak memberikan ASI secara ekslusif, dan masing-masing dari ibu tersebut memiliki pekerjaan salah satu penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa bayi yang tidak diberikan ASI akan memiliki resiko 6-10 kali lebih tinggi meninggal pada beberapa bulan pertama. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian cros sectional dengan populasi ibu yang mempunyai bayi usia 6-12 bulan. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara non probability sampling dengan teknik pruposive sampling. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 52 responden. Data disajikan dalam bentuk Frequency Table, Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis univariat dan bivariat dengan menggunakan metode analisis chi-square. Hasil penelitian Responden rata-rata memiliki pendidikan SMA. Dengan status gizi normal, rata-rata ibu memiliki umur 17-25 tahun, rata-rata ibu bekerja sebagai Swasta/Wirausaha. Dari hasil uji chi-square didapatkan hasil nilai p untuk status gizi ρ = 0,02 lebih kecil dari α = 0,05, nilai p untuk umur ρ=0,03, lebih kecil dari α = 0,05, dan nilai p untuk pekerjaan ρ=0,03, lebih kecil dari α = 0,05. Kesimpulan, hasil penelitian ini menunjukan ada hubungan yang bermakna antara status gizi, umur, pekerjaan dengan pemberian ASI Ekslusif pada bayi usia 6-12 bulan saat ibu kembali bekerja di Wilaya Kerja Puskesmas Werdhi Agung Kecamatan Dumoga Tengah.Kata Kunci: Status Gizi, Umur, Pekerjaaan, Dan Pemberian Asi Ekslusif

Abstract

Dampak dari wabah Coronavirus Disease of 2019 (COVID-19) menimbulkan pengaruh yang serius pada tenaga kesehatan. Dampak yang paling berpengaruh yaitu kesehatan, dampak kesehatan yang ditimbulkan bukan hanya kesehatan secara fisik namun dapat memiliki efek serius pada kesehatan mental dan merujuk untuk munculnya keluhan stres kerja khususnya petugas kesehatan atau perawat. Kasus COVID-19 tidak bisa diprediksi, maka perlu adanya perkembangan ilmu kesehatan dalam penanganan COVID-19 khususnya pada perawat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Hubungan antara Beban Kerja dengan Stres Kerja pada Perawat Pelaksana di Ruang Isolasi COVID-19 Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Kota Kotamobagu. Jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode analitik observasional dengan pendekatan studi potong lintang Cross-Sectional, dilaksanakan di RSUD Kota Kotamobagu pada bulan Agustus - Oktober tahun 2021. Sampel sebanyak 62 responden dengan menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu total sampling. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner. Penelitian ini di ikuti oleh 62 responden dimana 53% berumur  28 tahun, mayoritas perempuan 71,6% dengan tingkat pendidikan D3 69,4% dan masa kerja  5 tahun 74%. Pada penelitian ini ditemukan 91,9% melaporkan mengalami stres ringan dan mempunyai beban kerja ringan 75,8%. Hasil penelitian ini menggunakan uji korelasi Somers’d. Hasil yang didapatkan dalam penelitian ini yaitu berdasarkan uji statistik diperoleh nilai korelasi koefisien sebesar 0,157 yang menunjukkan korelasi yang sangat lemah dengan nilai p = 0.153>0,05 artinya tidak ada hubungan antara beban kerja dengan stres kerja pada perawat pelaksana di ruang isolasi COVID-19 RSUD Kota Kotamobagu. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini bahwa beban kerja bukan satu-satunya faktor penting yang mempengaruhi stres kerja pada perawat pelaksana diruang isolasi COVID-19 RSUD Kota Kotamobagu. Saran untuk instansi rumah sakit agar bisa mengevaluasi faktor-faktor lain yang bisa menyebabkan stres pada perawat. Kata kunci: stres kerja, beban kerja, perawat pelaksana ruang isolasi COVID-19 ABSTRACTThe impact of the Coronavirus Disease of 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak has a serious impact on health workers. This study aims to find out the relationship between workload and work stress in the managing nurse in the isolation room of COVID-19 kotamobagu regional general hospital. This type of quantitative research using observational analytical methods with cross-sectional latitude cut study approach, was carried out at Kotamobagu Hospital in August - October 2021. A sample of 62 respondents using sampling techniques, namely total sampling. The instruments in the study used questionnaires. The study was followed by 62 respondents where 53% aged ≤ 28 years, the majority of women 71.6% with a D3 education level of 69.4% and a working period of ≤ 5 years 74%. In this study, 91.9% reported experiencing mild stress and having a light workload of 75.8%. The results of this study used the Somers'd correlation test. The results obtained in this study, based on statistical tests obtained a coefficient correlation value of 0.157 which showed a very weak correlation with a value of p = 0.153>0.05 means that there is no relationship between workload and work stress in the implementing nurse in the isolation room of COVID-19 Kotamobagu Hospital. The conclusion in this study that workload is not the only important factor that affects work stress in the implementing nurses in the isolation room of COVID-19 Kota Kotamobagu Hospital. Abstract

COVID-19 menyebabkan dampak yang besar di sektor kesehatan dan tentunya juga di dalam sektor perekonomian dunia termasuk Indonesia. Permasalahan COVID-19 di masyarakat masih sangat besar contohnya physical distancing, memakai masker, masih sering di abaikan masyarakat yang menyebabkan bertambahnya kasus COVID-19 di Indonesia dengan sangat cepat. Pengemudi taksi online merupakan pekerjaan yang rentan terkena COVID-19 karena setiap saat ada penumpang baru yang masuk ke dalam mobil. Tujuan peelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pengetahuan dan sikap dengan ttindakan pencegahan COVID-19 pada pengemudi taksi online di Kota Tomohon. Metode penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan survei analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional study atau studi potong lintang. Penelitian ini mengambil total populasi dari pengemudi taksi online sebanyak 53 responden. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner online dalam bentuk google form. Data di olah dengan uji statistik chi square dan uji alternatif Fisher Excat dan uji alternatif Continuity Correction. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa sebagian besar para pengemudi taksi online memiliki pengetahuan yang baik sejumlah 73,6%, sikap yang baik sejumlah 60,4% dan tindakan pencegahan yang baik sejumlah 66%. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini menunjukan terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan dengan tindakan pencegahan, dimana responden yang memiliki pengetahuan yang baik melakukan tindakan pencegahan yang baik 74,4% lebih banyak di bandingkan dengan responden yang mempunyai pengetahuan yang kurang baik hanya 42,9% yang melakukan tindakan baik dengan  nilai p value 0,049 (<0,05) dan terdapat hubungan antara sikap dengan tindakan pencegahan dimana responden yang mempunyai sikap yang baik melakukan tindakan penyegahan COVID-19 yang baik 78,1% lebih banyak di bandingkan dengan responden yang memiliki sikap yang kurang baik hanya 47,6% yang melakukan tindakan baik dengan nilai p value 0,046 (<0,05). Kata Kunci : Pengetahuan, Sikap, Tindakan Pencegahan Covid-19, Pengemudi Taksi Online ABSTRACTCOVID-19 has had a huge impact on the health sector and of course also in the world's economic sector, including Indonesia. The problem of COVID-19 in the community is still very large for example physical distancing, wearing masks, still often ignored by the community which causes an increase in COVID-19 cases in Indonesia very quickly. Online taxi drivers are jobs that are vulnerable to COVID-19 because every time there are new passengers who enter the car. The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship between knowledge and attitudes and COVID-19 prevention in online taxi drivers in Tomohon City.. This research method is a type of quantitative research using an analytical survey with a cross-sectional study approach or cross-sectional study. This study took the total population of online taxi drivers as many as 53 respondents. The research instrument used an online questionnaire in the form of a google form. The data were processed by using the chi square statistical test and the Fisher Excat alternative test and the Continuity Correction alternative test. The results showed that most of the online taxi drivers had good knowledge of 73.6%, good attitude of 60.4% and good precautions of 66%. The conclusion from the results of this study shows that there is a relationship between knowledge and preventive action, where respondents who have good knowledge take good preventive actions 74.4% more than respondents who have poor knowledge only 42.9% take action good with a p value of 0.049 (<0.05) and there is a relationship between attitudes and preventive measures where respondents who have good attitudes take good COVID-19 prevention measures 78.1% more than respondents who have poor attitudes good only 47.6% did good actions with p value 0.046 (<0.05). Keywords: Knowledge, Attitude, Covid-19 Precautions, Online Taxi Drive

Abstract

Background: Feedback is an important part in teaching and learning process that serve as a catalyst to enhance learners’ achievement. In medical education, the importance of feedback has been recognized for learners at all level; undergraduate and postgraduate, in preclinical and clinical phases for more that twenty years. This literature review wants to explore what is the effective feedback for medical students and what are the factors that affect giving feedback?Method: Relevant literatures are selected as basis of recommendations on giving feedback in medical education.Results: The eighteen articles that fulfill the inclusion criteria have been collected from several resources include Medline, Pubmed and ERIC databases. Characteristics of effective feedback have been identified from those articles include positive, specific, private, well-timing, non-judgmental, interaction with sender, immediately given, from expert content, simple, and task oriented. While the factors affect giving feedback fall into four topics: the content of feedback, the method of delivery, sender credibility and training.Conclusion: Feedback in medical education has an essential role to enhance students’ learning behavior. Four factors that were affecting feedback delivery are content of the feedback, feedback delivery method, feedback provider’s credibility, and also training in feedback delivery.

Abstract

Scavengers were the one of the informal workers who work in the landfill. Scavengers have a high risk of having work accidents. The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence of work accidents and factors related to work accidents among scavengers at the Sumompo landfill Manado city. This was a correlational analytic research with a cross-sectional approach. This research was conducted at the Sumompo landfill Manado city in January-February 2021. The respondents in this research were 110 scavengers. The research variables consisted of the independent variable (knowledge of personal protective equipment/ PPE, the action to use of PPE and the work time period) and the dependent variable (work accidents). The data obtained were analyzed by univariate and bivariate. The results of this research showed that the respondents are most widely distributed on good knowledge (56.4%), bad actions (60%), long work time period (74.5%) and have work accidents (73.6%). The results of the bivariate analysis showed that the action of using PPE was correlated to work accidents (p = 0.024). The results of the analysis show that scavengers who have bad actions to use PPE are more at risk of having work accidents when compared to scavengers who have good actions to use PPE. That can be concluded that the prevalence of work accidents in scavengers is 73.6% and the action of using PPE was a factor associated with work accidents.
