Abstract

This study aims to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SD Negeri 22 Pekanbaru through the application of the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach. This Classroom Action Research (PTK) was carried out in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 22 fifth grade students. Data were collected through learning outcome tests and analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The results showed a significant increase in student learning completeness, from 36.36% in the pre-cycle to 59.09% in cycle I, and increased to 81,82% in cycle II. The students' average score also increased from 63 in the pre-cycle to 85.90 in cycle II. The application of the CRT approach proved to be effective in creating contextualized, meaningful learning, and actively involving students. This approach allows students to relate the subject matter to local culture, thus helping to understand concepts more deeply.

Abstract

Mathematics is a subject that is often considered difficult and boring. The reason is that teachers deliver material only focusing on theory or problem solving without a contextual approach, the lack of variation in learning methods such as the use of educational media or games so that students are less interested in mathematics subjects. To maintain the effectiveness of learning, teachers can use learning media during KBM (Teaching and Learning Activities). Learning media can be used to increase learning motivation and activate student responses, so that students' ability to solve problems increases. This study aims to analyze the effect of using Ultrasi media on mathematics learning outcomes of 3rd grade students at SDN Inpres Pucuke. This study uses a quasiexperimental and mixed method approach. The research sample consisted of 17 3rd grade students of SDN Inpres Pucuke. Data were obtained through pre-test and post-test and even involved observation and interviews. The results of the study showed a significant increase in students' average scores from 63.52 in the pretest to 89.70 in the posttest. With an average mean difference of 26.18 points. The t-test showed significant results (p

Abstract

An agency will thrive if it is supported by qualified employees. So that employees are certainly one of the most important assets in an institution, both private and public institutions, so that agencies are required to recruit prospective contract employees who have competence and talent to support the implementation of work at the Open University of Mataram City. Skilled workers who can bring institutions forward and compete with other agencies so that they can keep up with the times, and the recruitment aspect is starting to get a special view, because the recruitment process is not in accordance with the needs at the Mataram Open University so that it can hinder the rate of development of the agency itself. Therefore, a decision support system is needed for the contract employee recruitment process at the Universitas Terbuka Mataram. Therefore, a decision support system is needed for the contract employee recruitment process at universitas Terbuka Mataram campus. This decision support system uses the Simple Additive Weighting SAW method. In this case, prospective employees are compared with one another so as to provide an output value of priority intensity which results in a system that provides an assessment of each employee. This decision support system helps evaluate each employee, make changes to the criteria, and changes the weight values. This is useful to facilitate decision making related to employee selection issues, so that the most appropriate employees will be received in the company. The purpose of this study was to select the best candidate for employees at the Universitas Terbuka Mataram. The results of this study indicate that the SAW method is appropriate for selecting the best prospective employees because it can obtain qualified employees in accordance with the expectations of the company and the leadership.

Abstract

This study explores the understanding, perceptions, and expectations of vocational university students regarding Artificial Intelligence (AI), with a focus on its potential impact on education. As AI becomes increasingly integrated into various sectors, assessing students' preparedness for an AI-driven workforce is crucial. Using a mixed-methods approach, the research surveyed students from different disciplines, examining their knowledge of AI, its applications in education, and their attitudes toward its future development. The findings reveal that while students recognize AI's potential to enhance learning and efficiency, their awareness of its ethical implications and broader societal impacts remains limited. Most students expressed a strong interest in further exploring AI's evolving applications. The study suggests that vocational education AI literacy programs should encompass technical skills and ethical considerations to better prepare students for the challenges of an AI-powered future. This research underscores the importance of fostering a balanced understanding of AI, combining technological proficiency with ethical awareness to ensure responsible engagement with AI in the future workforce.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the chemical representation abilities of students at the macroscopic, submicroscopic, and symbolic levels in acid-base material practicums in class XI Science of SMAN 2 Mataram. The type of research is descriptive quantitative. The study population was 288 students of class XI SMAN 2 Mataram. The research sample was selected using purposive sampling technique obtained by class XI Science 7 students totaling 36 students and class XI Science 8 students totaling 36 students. Data collection techniques used interview, observation, documentation, and test instruments. Data analysis used N-gain percentage. The results showed that students' initial chemical representation abilities were relatively low, with an average pretest of 34.50% (macroscopic), 31.00% (submicroscopic), and 35.00% (symbolic). After the lab-based learning, posttest results showed significant improvements at all levels of representation, namely 85.25% (macroscopic), 78.25% (submicroscopic), and 76.50% (symbolic). The average total improvement increased from 33.50% to 79.99%, and is considered good. These results indicate that the chemistry lab is effective in improving students' representational skills on acid-base material.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the Accounting Services Office (KJA) Ary Wicaksono in optimizing the recapitulation process of Income Tax (PPh) Article 21 at PT XYZ and identify the factors causing recording errors that lead to discrepancies between tax reports and the company's financial statements. This study uses a case study approach with a qualitative descriptive method, which collects data through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and related documentation. The results of the study indicate that recording errors mainly occur due to human error, such as inaccuracy in data input and negligence in entering the latest corrections into the PPh 21 Periodic Tax Return (SPT). KJA Ary Wicaksono actively provides assistance through systematic recapitulation procedures, recording consultations, and education to PT XYZ staff to ensure all data and recording. The findings of this study reinforce the importance of the involvement of external accounting professionals in managing tax obligations effectively, supporting the consistency of tax and accounting reporting, and increasing the company's credibility and reputation in the eyes of tax authorities and other stakeholders in a sustainable manner.
