Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy and self-control on impulsive buying behavior among Generation Z in Tasikmalaya City. The study employs a quantitative approach using descriptive and verificative methods. The sample consists of 384 respondents, determined using Cochran's formula and selected via purposive sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed through multiple linear regression using IBM SPSS Statistics. The results indicate that the respondents' financial literacy and self-control fall into the high category, while impulsive buying falls into the moderate category. Individually, financial literacy has a significant negative effect on impulsive buying (β = -0.315; p = 0.001), as does self-control (β = -0.192; p = 0.007). Simultaneously, both variables significantly influence impulsive buying (p < 0.001). These findings demonstrate that the ability to understand and manage finances, as well as the ability to exercise self-control, play a role in curbing impulsive buying tendencies among Generation Z. The study implies that strengthening financial literacy and self-control can serve as a preventive measure to foster more rational consumption behavior.

Abstract

Digital transformation is a crucial factor for Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) in the fashion sector to enhance business performance amidst shifting consumer behaviors and increasingly technology-driven market competition. This study aims to analyze the impact of digital transformation on the performance of fashion-sector MSEs supported by Rumah BUMN Jakarta. A quantitative approach employing descriptive and verificative methods was used. Data were collected via questionnaires distributed to 282 MSE operators using purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression with the aid of SPSS. The results indicate that the implementation of digital transformation among fashion-sector MSEs falls into the moderate category and has a positive, significant impact on business performance. The coefficient of determination test yielded an R-Square value of 0.477, meaning that digital transformation accounts for 47.7% of the variation in MSE performance, while the remaining 52.3% is explained by factors outside the model. These findings demonstrate that the utilization of digital technology plays a vital role in boosting the performance of fashion-sector MSEs, particularly through market expansion, an increased customer base, and operational efficiency.

Abstract

The expansion of digital commerce provides significant growth potential for Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs), yet widespread adoption is frequently hindered by psychological barriers, specifically, whether owners believe these platforms will improve business performance. Accordingly, this study aims to describe the level of performance expectancy and the marketplace adoption decision, and to analyze the influence of performance expectancy on marketplace adoption, among MSEs that have not yet begun selling through such platforms. This research employed a cross-sectional quantitative design to analyze the impact of performance expectancy on 148 non-adopting MSEs associated with Rumah BUMN Tasikmalaya. The results indicated that both performance expectations and the decision to adopt were high, with performance expectancy serving as a significant positive predictor that accounted for 55.5% of the variance in adoption decisions. Consequently, the study highlights the necessity of structured, benefit-driven mentoring to help MSE owners recognize the utility of digital channels and sustain their adoption.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of social media has empowered micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to enhance brand communication through interactive and visual platforms. Jupiter Roastery, a local coffee MSME, actively leverages Instagram to promote its products and establish its brand identity. However, there remains a need to improve public recognition of the brand specifically as a roastery and supplier of roasted coffee beans. Employing a quantitative descriptive approach, this research examines the impact of Instagram Social Media Marketing on Brand Awareness at Jupiter Roastery. A purposive sample of 96 respondents completed a five point Likert scale questionnaire, and the collected data were analyzed via simple linear regression. The analysis demonstrates a positive and significant effect of Instagram marketing on Brand Awareness. Furthermore, the findings highlight that a major portion of the changes in Brand Awareness are attributable to these social media activities. Ultimately, the study concludes that engaging, consistent, and shareable Instagram content is crucial for elevating brand recognition and recall within the local coffee market.
