Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine elementary school students use of electronics following the Covid-19 epidemic. The descriptive quantitative research approach was applied. Questionnaires were provided to primary school children to collect data. The study was conducted in Tanjung Mulia Village, using 20 elementary school students as participants, and a sample technique called Simple Random sample was used. The data collecting approach used in this study is a closed questionnaire. The instrument is used by respondents through picking alternative answers that match their view or decision. In this study, descriptive data analysis is used to interpret the data gathered from questionnaires.  According to the findings of the survey, the majority of elementary school students choose to use devices for amusement purposes such as playing games, viewing or listening to music, and excessively accessing social media without time limitations, rather than for study and school purposes. The use of gadgets as a source of learning and pleasure must be done with adequate supervision, such as restricting gadget usage time, managing gadget use exclusively on beneficial, educational apps, and accompanying and leading children.

Abstract

This study is aiming to determine the factors causing children to drop out of school in Mabar Hilir environment, which is useful for providing educational teaching is very important to reduce school dropout rates. This study uses a qualitative methodology that includes interviews, observation, and a descriptive approach. Children who had dropped out of school in Village Mabar Hilir served as respondents for this study. This study collects respondent data using interview instruments. According to the research's findings, one child who should have been in school at that age was not attending, and twelve students had dropped out. There are several main reasons that causing this phenomenon including economics and environment factors.

Abstract

Children's independence is shaped and developed in large part by their parents, who help them to effectively navigate all of life's obstacles and conquer whatever obstacle they encounter. This study looks at the impact of parenting strategies in fostering children' independence. The method used in this research is a quantitative approach. The sample is involving 10 parents in Tanjung Jati village, West Binjai district. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire consists of 9 questions related to parenting and child independence. The survey results show that the majority of parents are considered to apply parenting styles that support children's independence, and parents assess their children as independent. In conclusion, the majority of parents employ a balanced parenting approach, which helps to foster children's progressive independence development.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of online gambling addiction (slot) on family harmony. This study was conducted with a qualitative case study approach on five heads of households in Bunga Tanjung Village who are known to have online slot gambling addiction. The results showed that the higher the online game addiction of family members, the greater the negative impact on family harmony. The main impact of online gambling is including to reduce interaction and communication within the family, the loss of the role of husband/father as head of the family, the development of long-term conflicts, and the destruction of family welfare. The conclusion of this study is that online gambling addiction has a significant impact on the quality of family harmony. The solutions provided include the need for prevention and treatment through socialization, counseling, rehabilitation, and social support to help affected families recover from online gambling addiction.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze Domestic Violence Due to Online Gambling (Scatter Slots) in Baringin Natam village, Parlilitan district. The research method employed is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques include participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. According to research findings, online gambling such Higgs Domino (Scatter Slot) has created disturbing phenomena in the community of Baringin Natam village. Although easily accessible and played flexibly, most participants gather in specific places such as coffee shops. This phenomenon has disrupted the comfort and order of the local community. Factors contributing to the proliferation of online gambling include social networking, ease of access to games, and motivation to earn money. The negative impacts of online gambling, especially Higgs Domino, not only involve economic issues for players but also extend to internal household problems. Online gambling addiction leads to significant financial expenditures, dishonesty in household financial management, and conflicts between spouses. This phenomenon can even result in domestic violence, both verbal and physical. Addressing these issues requires improved prevention and intervention efforts.

Abstract

This study is aiming to determine the efficiency level of using level books media in improving the reading fluency of students who struggle with reading at Teladan Binjai Private Elementary School. This qualitative study utilizes data collection techniques through documentation and observation involving 10 respondents who are non-readers from Grade I to Grade VI. The focus of this research is on implementing the Demonstrative Learning Method for Illiterate Children with Level Book Learning Media. The findings of this study indicate that students can learn to read with high enthusiasm and eagerness using the demonstration method with level books as learning media. Students are able to gradually read using this learning media. This implies that this learning media is effective in addressing illiteracy. Overall, the results of this research demonstrate that the use of level books media in education has a positive effect on the reading fluency of students who struggle with reading. Therefore, this research highlights the importance of integrating level book learning media in the learning process to assist students in overcoming illiteracy and enhancing their reading skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of online gambling addiction (slots) on family harmony. The research was conducted using a qualitative case study approach, five heads of households in Bunga Tanjung Village, known to experience online slot gambling addiction, were examined. The results showed that the higher the online game addiction among family members, the greater the negative impact on family harmony. Abstract

Lingkungan yang terletak di Desa Bandar Meriah, Sukamaju Kecamatan Sunggal merupakan daerah agraris, jenis tanaman seperti pisang masih banyak ditanam oleh masyarakat sekitar untuk menambah hasil pendapatan. Akan tetapi,  masyarakat  kebingungan menjual buah tersebut. Penyuluhan partisipatif pada masyarakat Dusun V dengan judul pemanfaatan hasil panen pisang menjadi olahan cemilan bervariasi rasa. Pendekatan yang dilaksankaan pada masyarakat yang bertujuan agar masyarakat memiliki kemadirian, keterampilan, dan mampu mengembangkan potensi yang ada pada desa tersebut. Diharapkan dengan dilaksankaan sosialisasi maka dapat meningkatkan kemampuan dalam mengolah buah pisang menjadi produk yang bernilai ekonomis dan dapat membantu perekonomian keluarga.

Abstract

This study explores the practice of interfaith figure communication in efforts to build religious harmony among the community in North Labuhanbatu Regency. This research is a field study with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through direct observation, interviews, group discussions, and documentation. The subjects include religious figures, community leaders, and government officials in North Labuhanbatu Regency. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model, with stages of data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results show that interfaith communication among religious figures in Labuhanbatu Utara is based on Islamic principles that respect human values and build harmony. This communication is crucial for strengthening social interactions and achieving common goals in creating sustainable harmony. Religious figures in the FKUB (Forum Komunikasi Umat Beragama) of Labuhanbatu Utara play a role in preventing religious conflicts through dialogue and coordination with local government. Barriers to building harmony among religious communities in Labuhanbatu Utara include distorted information and fake news on social media. The role of the internet and social media has changed how people obtain religious information, making religious figures more involved in politics and facing various challenges.

Abstract

Sasaran dari studi kasus ini adalah untuk (1) Mendeskripsikan metode Resource-Based Learning (RBL) pada materi pembelajaran IPA Pengetahuan Lingkungan kelas V UPT SPF SDN Mangkura Kota V Makassar (2) Mendeskripsikan siswa dalam pembelajaran dengan menerapkan Resource-Based Learning (RBL) ), Model Pembelajaran berbasisi Sumber daya (3). Membuktikan pengaruh perubahan pemahaman siswa selama proses pembelajaran dalam konteks ilmu pengetahuan lingkungan. Studi ini merupakan jenis studi kuanatitatif dengan rancangan penelitian pra-eksperimental berskema kelompok pre-test post-test. Sebanyak 36 siswa menjadi sampel dalam prosedur pengambilan data dimana strategi yang digunakan adalah metode purposive sampling. Teknik analisis inferensial dan teknik analisis deskriptif adalah strategi analisis data yang akan diterapkan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil analisis statistik deskriptif menampilkan pencapaian awal siswa (pre-test) rata-rata berada pada tingkat kurang dan meningkat setelah diberikan perlakuan (post-test) rata-rata berada pada tingkat baik. Dari hasil uji statistik diketahui terdapat perbedaan pengetahuan lingkungan hidup siswa kelas V di UPT SPF SDN Mangkura V Kota Makassar antara sebelum dan sesudah menerapkan metode pembelajaran berbasis sumber daya. Kesimpulannya pembelajaran berbasis sumber daya, Resource-Based Learning (RBL) berdampak terhadap pengetahuan siswa tentang ilmu lingkungan.
