Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurang optimalnya hasil belajar peserta didik karena kurangnya aktivitas belajar yang melibatkan masalah-masalah yang dekat dengan peserta didik dan peserta didik cenderung memiliki minat yang rendah dalam menyelidiki atau mengidentifikasi masalah yang akan diselesaikan, sehingga berdampak pada hasil belajar peserta didik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan sebanyak 2 siklus, dengan prosedur penelitian yang terdiri dari perencanaa, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa analisis pengamatan atau observasi, tes, dan non tes. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru kelas dan peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri 28 Air Tawar Timur Kota Padang yang berjumlah 28 orang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: Pertama, modul ajar siklus I diperoleh persentase nilai rata-rata 87% (Baik), meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 100% (Sangat Baik). Kedua, hasil pelaksanaan pembelajaran aspek guru siklus I diperoleh persentase nilai rata-rata 79% (Cukup), meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 95% (Sangat Baik). Ketiga, hasil pelaksanaan pembelajaran aspek peserta didik siklus I diperoleh persentase nilai rata-rata 79% (Cukup), meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 95% (Sangat Baik). Keempat, hasil belajar peserta didik pada siklus I diperoleh rata-rata 76,1 (Kurang), meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 83,6 (Cukup). Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan Pembelajaran Matematika Realistik (PMRI) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada pembelajaran Geometri Bangun Datar di kelas V SD Negeri 28 Air Tawar Timur Kota Padang.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the contextual teaching learning on mathematics learning outcomes in the topic of addition of fractions with different denominators for fifth-grade elementary school students. This research employed a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The study was conducted at SDN 24 Ujung Gurun in the 2025/2026 academic year. The research sample consisted of class VA as the experimental class with 22 students and class VB as the control class with 23 students. Data were collected through pretest and posttest instruments. Data analysis was conducted using normality tests, homogeneity tests, hypothesis testing with Independent Sample T-Test, and N-Gain tests assisted by IBM SPSS Statistics 30. The results showed that the posttest mean score of the experimental class was 83.64, which was higher than the control class score of 50.65. The hypothesis test result obtained a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05, indicating that H₀was rejected and H₁ was accepted. In addition, the N-Gain test results showed that the experimental class obtained a score of 77.835 categorized as high and very effective, while the control class obtained a score of 30.681 categorized as moderate and ineffective. Therefore, it can be concluded that the contextual learning approach is effective in improving students’ mathematics learning outcomes on the topic of addition of fractions with different denominators.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low problem-solving skills of students in learning mathematics in elementary school. Observations in class IV B at SD Negeri 08 Lubuk Layang showed that students had difficulty understanding story problems, identifying important information, and determining steps to solve them, which affected students' academic performance. To address this problem, computational thinking (CT) was used, emphasizing a systematic thinking process through decomposition, pattern recognition, and abstraction. This study aims to describe the design of the teaching module, the implementation of learning, and the improvement of students' problem-solving skills using a CT approach on the number pattern material for class IV at SD Negeri 08 Lubuk Layang. This study used classroom action research (CAR) conducted in two cycles with quantitative and qualitative approaches. The research procedures included planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 14 students of class IV B. Data collection techniques use test and non-test techniques, while data analysis uses quantitative and qualitative data analysis. The research results show that students' problem-solving skills increased from an average of 71.8% in cycle I to 93.6% in cycle II. Thus, the CT approach is effective in improving students' problem- solving skills in number pattern material in elementary school.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN 02 Jambak, Pasaman Regency. Classroom learning was still teacher-centered, the use of learning media was less engaging, and teachers were not yet optimal in implementing problem-based mathematics learning. These conditions affected students’ ability to absorb information effectively. Therefore, this study aimed to describe the improvement of students’ learning outcomes in data presentation through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Gamma in class IV of SDN 02 Jambak, Pasaman Regency. This study was a Classroom Action Research (CAR) employing both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The research was conducted in two cycles, namely Cycle I and Cycle II. Cycle I consisted of two meetings, while Cycle II was conducted in one meeting. Each cycle included four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 18 fourth-grade students of SDN 02 Jambak, Pasaman Regency, consisting of 6 boys and 12 girls. The results of the study showed an improvement from Cycle I to Cycle II. The observation score of the teaching module in Cycle I reached an average of 81.25% in the good category (B), and increased to 96.8% in the very good category (SB) in Cycle II. In terms of teacher activities, the observation results in Cycle I showed an average of 83.9% in the good category (B), which improved to 92.86% in the very good category (SB) in Cycle II. Meanwhile, in the student activity aspect, the average score in Cycle I was 73.21% in the fair category (C), increasing to 89.28% in the good category (B) in Cycle II. The students’ learning outcomes in Cycle I obtained an average score of 74.7 in the fair category (C), which then increased to 91.1 in the very good category (SB) in Cycle II. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Gamma-assisted Problem Based Learning model was able to improve students’ learning outcomes in data presentation learning in class IV of SDN 02 Jambak, Pasaman Regency.

Abstract

In Grade V at SD Negeri 09 2 X 11 Kayutanam, this project sought to enhance students' learning outcomes in Science and Social Studies (IPAS) by using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) approach. The research included both quantitative and qualitative methods from Classroom Action Research. Two rounds of planning, carrying out, observing, and reflecting comprised the study. The study included seventeen fifth graders. Documentation, learning outcome assessments, and observation sheets were used to gather data, which was then evaluated using both quantitative and qualitative methods. Students' learning results and the quality of their learning were both significantly improved once the PjBL paradigm was implemented, according to the findings. In Cycle II, the lesson preparation score jumped to 97% from 91.5% in Cycle I. In addition, there was an increase from 85.74% in Cycle I to 92.34% in Cycle II in terms of students' learning outcomes. Students were more actively involved in meaningful learning experiences via project work, teamwork, problem solving, and knowledge production, all of which contributed to the improvement in the PjBL model. As a result, primary school pupils' performance on IPAS assessments improved after using the Project Based Learning paradigm.

Abstract

The limited use of interactive digital learning media in Mathematics instruction, particularly on the topic of three-dimensional geometry for fifth-grade elementary school students, has become a significant challenge. Learning activities are still dominated by lecture-based methods and conventional instructional media, making it difficult for students to understand abstract geometric concepts. This study aimed to develop a digital learning media based on Augmented Realitytechnology that is valid, practical, and effective. This research employed the Research and Development(R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, which consists of the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects included a language expert, a material expert, a media expert, a fifth-grade teacher, and fifth-grade elementary school students. Data were collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, and tests, while the data were analyzed quantitatively using percentage analysis for validity and practicality, as well as the N-Gain test to determine effectiveness. The findings revealed that the developed media achieved an average validity score of 95.7%, categorized as highly valid. The practicality assessment conducted by teachers and students indicated that the media was highly practical, while the effectiveness test demonstrated an improvement in students' learning outcomes based on the pre-test, post-test, and N-Gain analysis results. The Augmented Reality-based digital learning media was able to present three-dimensional geometric objects interactively, enabling students to understand concepts more easily, enhancing their learning motivation, and creating a more engaging and student-centered learning experience. Therefore, the developed media was proven to be valid, practical, and effective, making it suitable as an alternative instructional medium for teaching three-dimensional geometry in fifth-grade elementary school Mathematics.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in Mathematics learning, especially the material of perimeter and area of ​​flat shapes, in grade V of SDN 04 Cubadak Air, Pariaman City. This problem is characterized by low student involvement in the learning process and many students who have not achieved the Learning Objectives Achievement Criteria (KKTP). This study aims to describe the improvement of student learning outcomes through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a qualitative and quantitative approach implemented in two cycles. Cycle I consists of two meetings, while cycle II consists of one meeting. Each cycle includes the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through test and non-test techniques. The research subjects were teachers and 22 grade V students of SDN 04 Cubadak Air, Pariaman City. The results showed an increase in all observed aspects. The assessment of the teaching module increased from an average of 86.05% in cycle I to 97.2% in cycle II. The implementation of learning, in terms of teachers 89.1% and students 87.49, increased to 96.4%. Student learning outcomes also increased from an average of 72.65 in cycle I to 85.49 in cycle II. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model is effective in improving student learning outcomes on the material of the perimeter and area of ​​flat shapes in class V SDN 04 Cubadak Air Kota Pariaman.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 33 Sawahan, Padang City on the subject of spatial shapes. This study aims to describe the improvement of mathematics learning outcomes through the application of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model assisted by Mathigon. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a qualitative and quantitative approach implemented in two cycles. Each cycle consists of the planning stage, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 22 fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 33 Sawahan, Padang City. The research data were obtained through observation, tests, and documentation, then analyzed using qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. The results of the study indicate that the application of the Project Based Learning model assisted by Mathigon can improve the quality of the learning process and student learning outcomes. The percentage of the quality of learning planning increased from 93.75% in cycle I to 95.83% in cycle II. The implementation of learning in the teacher aspect increased from 82.81% to 93.75%, while in the student aspect it increased from 81.25% to 93.75%, with a very good category. In addition, the average learning outcomes in the knowledge aspect increased from 75.00 in cycle I to 90.45 in cycle II. A total of 20 out of 22 students have achieved the Learning Objective Achievement Criteria (KKTP), so that the research success indicator has been achieved. Thus, the application of the Project Based Learning model assisted by Mathigon is effective in improving mathematics learning outcomes in the material of spatial shapes in class V of SD Negeri 33 Sawahan, Padang City.

Abstract

This research was conducted because the learning outcomes of fourth- grade students at SD Negeri 13 Pasar Remaja, Sawahlunto City, on data presentation are still relatively low. This low learning outcome is indicated by a class average score of 68.36, with a learning completion percentage of only 45.45%. Consequently, some students have not yet achieved the Learning Objective Achievement Criteria (KKTP). This condition is influenced by the teacher-centered learning process, students' lack of active participation in discussions and collaboration, and their inability to construct knowledge independently. Therefore, this study aims to describe the improvement in student learning outcomes through the application of the Project-Based Learning model to data presentation in fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 13 Pasar Remaja, Sawahlunto City. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) with qualitative and quantitative approaches, implemented in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were teachers and 22 fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 13 Pasar Remaja, Sawahlunto City, in the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were obtained through an in-depth learning plan (RPM) assessment, observations of teacher and student activities, and learning outcome tests. Data were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. The results showed that the implementation of the Project-Based Learning model improved the quality of the learning process and student learning outcomes. The percentage of student activity increased from 75% in Cycle I to 96.4% in Cycle II, qualifying as very good. Furthermore, the average learning outcome score increased from 68.36 at the initial level to 74.54 in Cycle I, then again to 85 in Cycle II. The learning completion percentage also increased from 45.45% at the initial level to 72.73% in Cycle I and reached 95.45% in Cycle II. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Project-Based Learning model can improve the quality of the learning process and students' mathematics learning outcomes in data presentation material in fourth grade at SD Negeri 13 Pasar Remaja, Sawahlunto City.

Abstract

Low academic achievement in mathematics, specifically on the topic of area and volume measurement among fourth-grade pupils at SDN 29 Dadok Tunggul Hitam, Padang City, provided the background for this study. Preliminary observations revealed that learning was not fully student-centered and Project Based Learning (PjBL) had not been implemented for this material. This classroom action research aimed to describe the planning, implementation, and improvement of pupils' learning outcomes using the PjBL model. Combining qualitative and quantitative approaches, the study involved 28 fourth-grade pupils (17 males and 11 females) across two cycles. Data were gathered through non-test and test instruments. Results showed that teaching module quality increased from 87.5% (Good) in Cycle I to 95.8% (Very Good) in Cycle II. Teacher activity implementation increased from 90.6% (Good) to 96.8% (Very Good), and student activity rose from 87.5% (Good) to 93.7% (Very Good). Pupils' average affective scores improved from 73.21% to 83.25%, psychomotor scores from 65.18% to 83.33%, cognitive scores from 76.78% to 85.71%, and project evaluation scores from 66.07% to 85.27%. It is concluded that the PjBL model effectively improves learning outcomes in area and volume measurement.
